A New York Bucket List Scrapbook Page from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters! Hooray for Friday. I have a busy day ahead continuing work on the big crafty destash and reshuffle. Cannot wait to get my new space all tidy and finished. You'll know where to find me for the rest of the day.

I have also been busy writing out my LOOOONG shopping list for the new catalogue launch on Wednesday. If you'd like a copy of the new Stampin' Up! catalogue please let me know and I'll pop one in the post to you. Alternatively, I'd love to place an order for you and get new goodies sent direct to your door. Just drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk with any questions.

I have a Mint Macaron scrapbook page to share with you today. This was another creation I made for the Telford Stampers Showcase using a sneak peek product called Painter's Palette. This is a very creative little stamp set with brush strokes and an easel. I used the brush stamps to create the background of my Mint Macaron cardstock.

For the rest of the scrapbook page I used the Memories in the Making bundle of products including the Project Life cards and accessories. I love how the accessory packs include alphabet stickers for creating titles for your Project Life pages or traditional 12"x12" pages.

I used one of the watercolor die cuts to create my camera embellishment. I used Mint Macaron ink and an aqua painter to give the water washed effect over the camera. I then mounted the embellishment with dimensionals (adding an extra layer to the circle centre to make it stand away from the main body of the camera).

I loved creating this little banner at the top of my page with the embellishment kit.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, or any of our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!).

A Cozy Christmas Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

I have another project to share today from my Cozy Christmas card class at the weekend. I saw a card very similar card on Pinterest and absolutely loved the use of the snowy chalet background paper (from the Home for Christmas DSP). Sometimes Stampin' Up!'s papers are too beautiful not to let be the focus of a project.

I used my Stampin' Write markers (Hello Honey, Real Red, Soft Sky & Garden Green) to colour the sentiment and then layer over Real Red & Pool Party cardstock.

I used a length of Jute Ribbon to wrap around my card and then finished with a Snowflake Element layered with an Iced Rhinestone.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. A Butterfly Basics Hostess Gift from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty friends.

I'm a bit later with my posting than normal this week. We returned from a lovely week away to France at the weekend so fitting in crafting amid washing and unpacking proved a little challenging. But I did manage to sneak an hour for creating last night. I have a Stampin' Up! crafty party this week and wanted to make something special for my Hostess.

I found a pack of these little notebooks in my 'crafty inspiration' drawer full of things I will get round to making eventually. I thought they would make perfect gifts for upcoming new catalogue party hostesses.

I used my Butterfly Basics stamp set with the Butterfly Framelits (available together as a fantastic bundle for a 15% saving) to create the background and butterfly feature. For the background I stamped the flower from Butterfly Basics in Versamark and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss powder. I then stamped the small butterflies in Watermelon Wonder ink.

I added the white film frame cut with the On Film Framelits and the larger butterfly cut with my Butterfly Framelits. To finish I added an In Color Blossom in Mint Macaron and Itty Bitty Flowers punched with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack from Mint Macaron Cardstock (I added a White Candy Dot for the centre of the flower).

I have added a special Stampin' Up! pen to the gift and will set about designing a gift bag this evening.

If you would like to host your own Stampin' Up! party I would love to come and demo for you and your friends and family. I always make a gift for all my hostesses on top of the fab product freebies you will receive from Stampin' Up! themselves. I also provide all materials for you and your attendees to complete a stamping project aimed at all levels of experience from a new stamper through to the more experienced crafter.

Thank you for popping by today. Don't forget to check out this week's Weekly DealsPlease let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. A Happy Thing Blendabilities Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty friends. And a very Happy Wednesday to you. We're on to the happy downward slide to another fantastic weekend.

We saw a small smattering of snow here yesterday. Not enough to build a snowman. But enough for Summer to throw a couple of snow balls at her Dad. I enjoyed watching the snow fall from my office window periodically through the day.

I have another of our class cards to share today. I featured previously a pair of cards I made with the lemon stamp from the A Happy Thing Sale-A-Bration stamp set so I wanted to give a bit of focus to the beautiful bird stamp from the same set.

I had seen this card on Pinterest made by the talented Fran Sabad (thank you for the inspiration) and decided to grab my Blendabilities and give it a go. I love the natural tone to this card and knew it would be a perfect Father's Day or male birthday card (I left the card without a sentiment so my ladies could personalise it themselves).

I used the following products for this card:

  1. Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Crumb Cake Blendabilities Markers
  2. Crumb Cake Cardstock
  3. Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
  4. Hardwood Background Stamp
  5. Soft Suede and Early Espresso Ink
  6. Sponge Daubers
  7. Naturals Candy Dots
I so love using my Blendabilities now and love finding the perfect blend of colours for my stamps. I love the development of colouring stamped images. Stampin' Up! have really innovated with their new ranges and I love trying new techniques and stamping ideas.

And don't forget that as it is Wednesday we have a new range of Weekly Deals launching today. There are some great products this week including Blendabilities and Silver Foil cardstock at fantastic prices!

Thank you for popping by today. You can find out more about the new Spring Summer Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration promotion by clicking here or by using the navigation menu on the left. This really is the most exciting time of the year to shop. New products and fantastic freebie rewards too.

Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (or click on the links above to find out more about specific products) or get in touch directly and I  can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door.

Hostess Club May Gift: Scissors and Charm

Morning all, I thought I'd share a quick crafty make with you today. This was my hostess club gift included in with the May orders. I'd bought these scissors a while ago and tucked away with a view to giving them as gifts down the line.

I wanted to fancy them up a bit so dug out some shrink plastic to create a scissor charm to tie to the handle. I cut 2" strips of shrink plastic and created tags using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch which I then stamped with Stazon using the Flower Shop stamp set. I used my Heat Tool to shrink the plastic down to these fab little mini tags. I finished with a mobile phone clip and wooden bead and tied to the scissors with Gold Bakers Twine.

I'm really pleased with the result and hope my ladies like them too.

Don't forget the current promotions at the moment using the links below:

You can order all Stampin' Up! products through my online store by clicking here or by clicking on any of the product links above. I will also happily order any products for you. Just drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249 and I'll happily assist.

Christmas comes (very) early to the Isle of Wight

Good morning and welcome to a Christmas-y crafty week here at Stampin' Sarah.

This weekend saw the first of my Christmas Craft Days (the second starts today at 10.30am). I had a lovely group of crafty ladies come along on Saturday and we spent the day making a whole series of festive items from a Christmas planner to a stamped candle holder along with cards and gift wrapping too. I took the picture above to show the projects we'd be making over on my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/stampinupiow). It gives a little sneak peak of the projects and techniques I will be sharing with you over the next week. Its never too early to get thinking about Christmas crafting ;0)

The first project I am sharing with you is this foil cardstock embossed poinsettia card which uses lots of fab new product from the Autumn Winter catalogue launching on August 29th.

The silver layer is the fab new Foil Sheets (Gold and Silver - Page 28 of the Autumn Winter Catalogue- £3.75) embossed with the new Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (Page 24 A/W Catalogue).

We then stamped the Poinsettia image from the new Joyful Christmas stamp set (Page 27 A/W Catalogue) on to Bermuda Bay cardstock using the new Silver Metallic Encore Pad (Page 28- gives a beautiful shiny stamped result and is quicker than heat embossing). We cut the centre leaves from one image and layered these with dimensionals on to the other. We then finished with a fabulous Frosted Finishes Embellishment (Page 28 A/W Catalogue- I have already used an entire pack of these in my Christmas crafting so far!! Lots more will be purchased in the next couple of months I am sure).

To finish this card we stamped the Joyful Christmas Wishes sentiment from the same stamp set on to the cardbase.

I love the colour scheme of this card. Not traditionally festive but Christmas-y feeling all the same. This was inspired by a lovely card I had seen on a US Demonstrators blog as part of a Christmas-y blog hop. As soon as I saw all the lovely layers to the card I knew I'd have to give it a go.

If you'd like me to send you a copy of the new Autumn Winter catalogue please drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk and I'll happily pop one in the post to you. So many lovely ideas launching with this new catalogue on August 29th. I am counting down the days to the catalogue release so I can start using all the new products in my upcoming crafty parties. Please get in touch if you'd like to find out more about booking a crafty party in your home. I'd love to help you get your hands on lots of lovely hostess freebie products to say thank you for hosting.

To find out more or to have a Stampin' Up! chat please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249.

I'll be back tomorrow to share another Christmasy project with you.

Easter Treats

I love this stamp set. I made this Easter set with the Everybunny stamp set from the main catalogue and I don't often get the opportunity to craft with it as Easter only comes round once a year ;0) I originally bought this set to tuck away for when Summer is older. But upon planning my Sew N So Fabrics class I decided this would be a perfect stamp set for this time of year.

Make it Wight Easter Card Class
Sew N So Fabrics Craft Centre, Ryde
Thursday March 21st
1-3pm
£8.50

I try to plan my classes around the season and different techniques. This class focuses on watercolouring and paper piecing to make these three projects.

To book your place on this class or find out any jmore information please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or contact the shop direct on sewnsofabrics@googlemail.com. I would love for you to join me on the day for a bit of Easter craftiness.

And just as an aside, I must apologise for the lack of a technique tutorial this Thursday. The week has run away with me and I have a craft room piled high with projects on the go. Lots of lovely things to share in the upcoming weeks though ;0) Stick with me, balancing family life with crafting and going back to work is proving a challenge but I am gradually getting there with making sure I devote the right amount of time to each important area of my life.

Thank you for joining me today and happy weekend crafting.

This is a better picture of my Christmas card I shared on Friday. I love this Pinterest inspired Candy Cane Christmas. Hello from the Isle of Wight

Welcome to our first ever Pinkies Blog Hop. We’ll be showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin’ Up!® Autumn Winter Seasonal Catalogue. Our blog hop buttons will help guide you on your way. We love comments, so please do tell us what you think!

Thank you for joining me today on the sunny Isle of Wight for my little piece of this fabulous Pinkies Blog Hop. You may have joined me today from Suzette's blog. What stunning projects using the Friendship Preserves set and Orchard Harvest Suite.

I absolutely adore all the new products from the Autumn Winter Catalogue so I was hard pushed to choose what to use for my project. I decided to let my photos guide my choice of product as I discovered the new Orchard Harvest Suite matched perfectly with my pumpkin photos for this double scrapbooking page layout.

I used 12"x12" Very Vanilla and More Mustard as my base colours and then designed my embellishments to match. One of my favourite new additions to the Autumn Winter Catalogue is the fantastic Core'dinations card stock which I have used here in Early Espresso. I ran this through the Big Shot using the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and then sanded with the new Stampin' Sanding System.
To create my leaves I used In Color Cardstock to match the beautiful Orchard Harvest Designer Fabric in Summer Starfruit, Raspberry Ripple and Island Indigo and ran this through my Big Shot using the new Autumn Accents Bigz Die. The patterned leaves are cut from the Designer Fabric. I finished each page with a strip of lovely new 2.2cm Cotton Ribbon (also fantastic for stamping on I have discovered!), a Flourish Designer Frame and a Brushed Bronze Designer Button.

Thank you for joining me today. You can continue hopping by jumping on over to my upline Michelle Last's blog. She has made some beautiful Christmas projects using the Ornament Bundle.

A little bit of crafting

A while ago I posted about how Mum and I had spent a crafty day making up a batch of birth announcements/thank you cards for Summer's arrival. This was a few weeks before Summer was born and we made them so that all they needed was a photo to finish them off. Well last weekend I finally ordered some newborn photos of Summer to finish the cards ready to write and send out to all the generous and lovely people who have sent flowers, cards and gifts for my little Miss. More through luck than judgement I was able to order wallet sized prints (3" x 2") from Photobox and they fitted the So Saffron layer perfectly.
So the birth announcement was made with Whisper White, Rose Red and So Saffron cardstock and the Bundle of Love stampset. I used my blending pens to create the watercoloured effect with the bootees, rattle and rubber duck. I combined this with Stazon black ink to ensure the colours didn't run with the outline image. I embossed the cardblank with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and stamped polka dots using Whisper White ink and the Dot Dot Dot background stamp onto the Rose Red layers. I finished with a strip of Blushing Bride Poly Stitched Ribbon and a tag punched with the Decorative Label Punch and stamped with the 'Bundle of Love' sentiment.

I dont think the photo quite does the card justice. I am a bit behind with the housework at the moment so couldn't find somewhere nice to stage this pic. I am so pleased with how they have turned out. I just need to find the time to sit down and actually write them all out (I managed to address all the envelopes in advance!)

And just to post a few updates on my beautiful Summer. Here are some further highlights from her first three weeks:
A picnic in the garden with her Aunties and Nana ;0)
Using her bouncy chair for the first time.
A fun family portrait. I suddenly realised I had no pictures of the three of us so asked Mum to snap a few of Sam, Summer and I last week.

It has been a super busy week with lots of visitors and I'm finally a bit more mobile so have been out walking with Summer. I spent ages going through all the photos from her first couple of weeks and loading them up to Photobox. I spent a small fortune ordering lots of prints for me and the family. I can feel a mammouth scrapbooking session coming on to catch up on everything......

Happy crafting all and a fabulous long Jubilee weekend too ;0)
