It is Autumn Winter Catalogue Day

So today is another of my favourite days in the Stampin' Up! year- the new Autumn Winter catalogue is live today! Crafting for Christmas is the best kind of crafting in this house. I love changing my colour palette to reds and greens and coming up with new gift boxes and card ideas. And of course I can add sparkle to everything!

To see whats new you can check out the catalogue pdf here or pop over to my online store here. If you'd like your own paper copy of the catalogue then just drop me an email on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk and I'll happily pop one in the post for you.

And as if new catalogue loveliness wasn't enough. Stampin' Up! have also announced a fabulous new Hostess promotion for September and October. If you host a party with £250+ sales you will receive the exclusive Merry Patterns stamp set for free.
To see more about this exclusive host set watch the great promo video from Stampin' Up! HQ:

And finally for this fabulous new crafty day I thought I would share one of the fabulous new Stampin' Up! Thinlit sets- the Trim Your Stockings Thinlits Dies. These dies also come as part of the Tags and Trimmings Bundle. These dies have 19 elements to make this gorgeous little pillow box stocking project. I love all the extra little embellishments that come with the dies including the trim die and the snowflake (as well as holly, hearts, tags and a bell die too). The box is so simple to put together and could be used for table decorations or place settings or even a homemade advent calendar!

This shows the reverse of the box and how it attaches to the stocking.

I'd love to help you earn the fabulous free stamp set during September or October. So drop me a line to book your Christmas or Halloween themed party.

Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! and their products. I would be happy to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love the opportunity to demonstrate for you and your friends at a crafty party. A Carols of Christmas Flip Frame Tutorial from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning lovely crafters.

What a fabulously Stampin' Up! weekend I have just had. A perfect example of why I love Stampin' Up! so much. I shared a whole day of crafting and fun with 14 lovely crafty friends on Saturday for my 7th annual Christmas Craft Day and then my fellow Stampin' Up! Demo friend Katie brought her gorgeous family to visit Saturday night and we shared a fun filled day with our families yesterday. This is why Stampin' Up! has made such a difference to me. I have made so many new friends and get to share crafting with likeminded lovely people.

And on the theme of sharing I have one of our crafty projects from Saturday to share with you today. Such a simple project to make and could so easily be personalised to your own colours or stamp preferences. I themed this project mainly around the fabulous Carols of Christmas Bundle available to purchase exclusively this month before the launch of the new Autumn Winter Catalogue next month.

For this project I purchased the Tolsby Frames from Ikea. They are designed for two 4"x6" photos. However, if you take out the plastic inserts they are a perfect stand to make this flip frame home decor project.

Once the frame is assembled we started by attaching the two hinged rings to the top of the frame. You can then hang your pages as you go.

It is then as simple as making as many inserts as you would like for your flip element. On Saturday we made 8 pages (4 double sided mini layouts). I made each card base 9cm x 13cm so they fitted easily within the centre of the frame with enough room to flip easily.

Here are the pages we made using the Carols of Christmas Bundle (and a few new catalogue sneak peeks!):

This project would be perfect for a flip advent calendar or a project to match your Christmas colour theme for the year. It is super simple and can be as detailed and embellished as you like.

I used a whole selection of added embellishments to give dimension and texture to my pages including the Hearts and Stars Elements, Basic Jewels, Dazzling Diamonds and Cherry Cobbler Double Stitched Ribbon.  Also I used Christmas Pines stamp set for added sentiments and stamping (as well as some soon to be released new products too).

Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! and their products. I would be happy to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love the opportunity to demonstrate for you and your friends at a crafty party. A Sneak Peek New Catalogue Floral Pop Up Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Monday Crafters.

How was your weekend? I'd like to say I was hugely crafty and productive. But that is not the case. It was more a snuggle under a duvet and cross stitch kind of weekend. I did, however, manage to make a very special card for a very special friend who is currently in hospital.  Have you seen this video? It keeps popping up on my timeline on Facebook. Such a simple but effective idea. I knew it would be perfect to take to my friend in hospital as actual flowers aren't allowed on the ward.

Here is the card I made:

I used a gorgeous new stamp set from the upcoming 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue called Happy Birthday Gorgeous to create the floral background and the sentiment is from Beautiful You.

You open the card and here are the flowers inside. I created these using 6" square pieces of DSP from my piles of retiring papers. They pop right up out of the card. It is super effective (and hard to capture in a static photo). My lovely friend was a joy to see today and I'm glad my card could bring her a little floral sunshine to her bedside table.

If you'd like your own copy of our upcoming catalogue please let me know and I'll pop one in the post to you. And please pop on over to my online store to see all the fabulous discounted product on the retiring list (only available until May 31st).

Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! and their products. I would be happy to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love the opportunity to demonstrate for you and your friends at a crafty party. A Jar of Love Silhouette Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Saturday crafters.

I have a huge task ahead of me today. I have cleared my schedule and I have the Stampin' Up! Retiring List ready in front of me. I am going to tackle my piles of stamps, embellishments, papers and dies and sort out those that are retiring from those that will be carrying over in to the new Stampin' Up! catalogue (which I've had a peek at and is overflowing with loveliness!). I love this time of year, making way for lots of new crafty fabulousness. If you'd like to have a look at the items that are on the retiring list click on the picture below (only available until May 31st).

Today's crafty share is a card I created using my Jar of Love stamp set. I often overlook this set when I am sitting down to craft but when I had a look at some of the smaller images I realised they'd make a perfect silhouette layered over one another.

I started by punching a circle from a Post-It to create a mask. I then used So Saffron ink with a sponge dauber to ink the circle in the background. Then I simply layered the Jar of Love elements in Memento Black ink over the top. Adding the greeting last.

Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! and their products. I would be happy to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. A High Tide Night of Navy 'Just Because' Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a very happy (rainy) Monday to you all. It is blowing a real hooly here. We've just opened our front door to find two ducks have taken up residence is a substantial car park puddle as well as seeing our beautiful local red squirrels sheltering in the trees (hanging on for dear life in this wind more like).

So on that note I have a lighthouse card to share today. I adore the High Tide stamp set and especially this sentiment. I've been talking to crafty friends recently about how we should all send more 'just because' cards. People expect cards on birthdays and Christmas but think about the delight we all feel receiving a lovely piece of handwritten  post unexpectedly. I've decided that from time to time I will post a card to a loved one just to say hello. This card will be the first one in box of cards to send. I love the sentiment and the little ray of sunshine it may bring to someone.

For this card I decided to keep it all tonally one colour. I simply used Night of Navy and Whisper White. When inking I created different shades by stamping off on to a scrap piece of paper before stamping on to my Whisper White. This is a simply technique for giving different variations of the same colour and adding depth to your stamping.

The High Tide Stamp Set has the two stamps for creating the layering and shadowing on the lighthouse. I love the 3D effect it gives the stamped image as well as the gorgeous detailing around the top of the house.

Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! and their products. I would be happy to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. A Christmas Magic Diamond Fold Christmas Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. How was your weekend? Mine was spent dealing with a series of moving related mini crisis (including a blocked drain and a smoking washing machine!). But I did buy my very first car. At the grand age of 35 I am now officially on the road with my bright yellow Hyundai, happily named the Sunny Sunflower by Summer.

The card I have to share today was one of the projects for my October card class. I do love a good fancy fold card and I'd seen a few of these on Pinterest and thought they'd make a perfect Christmas card as the shape of the card itself looks a bit like a Christmas cracker.

For the Cherry Cobbler card base I used the fab Splitcoast Stampers tutorial. I then added my Garden Green panels and stamped my images on to the Whisper White layers.

The pictures don't quite capture the sparkle of the card which I added with my Wink of Stella brushes. I stamped in Memento Black and coloured with my Stampin' Write Markers.

And the beauty of this Fancy Fold is that it folds down in to a compact 4" square envelope.

A Little Christmas Magic from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Hello lovelies. Its been a couple of weeks since I've been able to catch up with you all. It has been crazy and I've not had a chance to create new things for my blog. I grabbed some time over the weekend to do some prep for my upcoming class as well as create a few things to share with you all.

The first was inspired by a make I found on Pinterest by another Demo named Miranda Mols. I love the Christmas Magic stamp set but couldn't find a way to use the bell image that I was happy with. I adored the idea of using the bell for a background and layering the lovely little snowman over the top.

For this card I used Memento Black for stamping the bells and then coloured with my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker. I added a little Gold Wink of Stella sparkle to the middle band around the bell. The little bells are from the Jolly Friends stamp set, stamped in Daffodil Delight.

For the snowman I simply stamped and coloured and then punched with my 1 3/4" Circle Punch.  I then layered over a 2" Garden Green Circle. I finished by cutting a strip of Real Red and adding the greeting. I then hand cut the pennant shape and added Pearls.

Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! and their products. I would be happy to help.  All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too!
