An Autumn Winter Jolly Friends Sneak Peek from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. How was your weekend? It was a beautifully sunny few days on the Isle of Wight which was perfect for our RSPCA Gala Day on Sunday. What a lovely day it was enjoyed by all. My girls love visiting and seeing the variety of dogs entering the dog show as well as seeing all the resident and visiting cats and rabbits. The day raised over £5000 for the Centre which was a fantastic day and well reflective of all the effort put in by the staff and volunteers.

For all those eager Christmas crafters awaiting the 1st September I have a fun little sneak peek for you today. This is a card I CASED from the new Autumn Winter catalogue featuring a fab little set called Jolly Friends. I adore moose and knew I had to have a go at this card as soon as I saw it in the catalogue.

Now for those eagle eyed Stampin' Up! fans you might see another couple of sneak peeks used for this card- the fab new Jolly Hat Builder Punch and Mini Jingle Bells. The new Autumn Winter catalogue is chock full of festive inspiration and if you would like a copy posting out to you direct you just need to drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk and I'll get a copy straight out to you.

I know I'm biased as I love all things Stampin' Up! but this years Autumn Winter offering is one of the best I've seen in the 6.5years I've been with the company. There really are so many different styles and tastes catered for as well as beautiful Autumnal sets and fun Halloween crafting bits and bobs. There are also lots of fun embellishments and accessories and lots of glitter too.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. Sleigh Ride Bauble Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. How was your weekend? The girls loved Halloween and getting dressed up. We enjoyed a local firework display on Saturday evening. Sylvie wasn't so sure to begin with but once she got used to the noise she was pretty intrigued by it all.

Today I have one of last month's card class makes to share with you. I'd seen similar ideas on Pinterest and loved the idea of creating a Christmas bauble from the Sleigh Ride Edgelits. I used my 2" Circle Punch to create a Night of Navy Base. I then layered the houses and the sleigh and punched again to create the bauble shape.

I added the bauble string & sentiment using the stamp from the To You & Yours stamp set. And to add a little sparkle I added Silver Dazzling Details to create snow. The background is a layer of Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum which I adhered with glue dots in each corner (not visible through the vellum).

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!)

A Season of Cheer Paper Bauble from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

I have something a little different to share with you today. I was flicking through through the catalogue and came across a picture which features these paper baubles made from Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper. I love how jam packed the pages of our catalogues are with ideas of things to recreate yourself.

I decided to have a go at making these baubles using my 2.5" Circle Punch and a pack of glue dots.

  1. To create this I punched 12 circles from my designer paper.
  2. I folded in half and stacked my circles (to get a balanced symmetrical design I divided my two paper designs in to two piles (A design and B design) and then stacked them ABBAABBAABBA).
  3. Once I stacked my 12 circles I staples the stack at the top and bottom (right in the crease of the fold).
  4. I wrapped a length of bakers twine through the middle to serve as the bauble hanger.
  5. I then started gluing the layers together. Using a glue dot I alternated between placing a glue dot at the top and bottom of each layer. This is how you get the alternating wave pattern to your bauble.

Here is the catalogue picture that inspired today's project. I love how all these projects work together.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. A Berry Merry Light Up Easel from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

Hello and welcome to the Isle of Wight for my little contribution to today's Autumn Winter creativity. Thank you for joining me from Janneke's blog.

I was at a loss with where to start to create a project for today's hop. I love so much in this catalogue (my all time favourite catalogue in my 5 years with Stampin' Up!). But I settled on the gorgeous Berry Merry (anyone else think Bake Off when they hear this name?). I love all the little elements in this stamp set for embellishing your beautiful swirly script sentiments.

I wanted to make a piece of home decor to display in my home through December so I came up with this festive easel.

I purchased the little canvas and easel from my local Works. I stamped my elements in Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Garden Green, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake. I had a few left over light strings from my big Christmas Craft Days so I used one of these to light up my canvas. I simply poked a small hole through my canvas and then secured my LED lights behind each.

When I stamped my main image on to the canvas the stamping was patterned with the bobbles of the canvas. To get this softer watercolour effect for my completed project I used a blender pen over my ink to blend it seamlessly.

Thank you for joining my today. I hope you've enjoyed the hop so far. To continue please click onwards to Catherine's blog to see what she has been making.

Galaxy Print Effect Jingle All Way Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. How are you enjoying the Autumn Winter catalogue so far? So many lovely things to look at and ideas to get your crafting mojo going.

I have another Autumn Winter inspired creation to share with you today. One of my sisters absolutely loves all things galaxy print. I have seen so many tutorials on Pinterest on how to create this effect for yourself on fabric and using various tie dye methods. So I decided to have a go at creating my own galaxy effect Christmas card.

And it was surprisingly easy to create.

I started by sponging my top layer of Whisper White all over in Tempting Turquoise. I then created contrast by sponging areas with Island Indigo. I then covered all the sponging with Blackberry Bliss being careful to leave some of the other colours showing through. I finished by sponging a small amount of Night of Navy around the edges.

To create the stars and galaxy movement I used an Aqua Painted. I lightly flicked water over my finished sponged layer and left to dry. This gave the effect of the stars in the background. Once dry I used my fine tip glue to add Metallic Sequins.

I cut my sleigh using the Jingle All The Way bundle of products. I cut my layer to size and adhered with Dimensionals over a layer cut from Gold Foil card.

Thank you for popping by today. I hope you enjoyed this technique today. I love any technique where no two cards will look the same (and you can't really go wrong either!). I will be back on Friday with another festive fun creation. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. An Among the Branches Sneak Peek from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a happy wet and rainy Wednesday to you all. To celebrate the weather and the changing of the seasons (although I haven't quite given up on summer just yet!) I created this card using some of my lovely sneak peek Autumn Winter products.

This card was made using a fantastic upcoming bundle; the Among the Branches stamp set coupled with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Such a great bundle at £19.25. Available from September 1st.

To anyone that knows me, they'll know how much I love owls. So this set was a must for me. I loved being able to add the owl silhouette to my embossed forest.

To create the contrast I embossed the trees and then used Soft Suede ink and a dauber to darken the tree trunks.

I added linen thread and a gold heat embossed sentiment (this is taken from the Among the Branches stamp set). The added embellishments are new Into the Woods Elements (£6.00).

I am absolutely loving all the new products. I would love to share the new catalogue with you. So if you would like a copy on your door mat please drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk with your address and I'll happily pop one out in the post to you.

As it is Wednesday that means new Weekly Deals. Click below to see the new products on offer this week.

A Festive Fireplace Easel Card Sneak Peek from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters and welcome to another Christmas-y Autumn Winter Catalogue Sneak Peek. This time I am sharing a project I came up with using the upcoming Autumn Winter Festive Fireplace stamp set and Fireside Framelit bundle.

As soon as I saw this stamp I knew it would be PERFECT for a vellum and battery tealight easel card creation. I am a big fan of using battery tealights for my special Christmas cards. They become a decoration in themselves and its nice to sometimes give an extra special card. So this is what I came up with.

I found packs of battery tealights in my local pound shop and as a bonus they were the flickering ones giving the fire an extra realistic light effect. I deliberately photographed this card as it was getting dark to give you an idea of how lovely and warm the card felt with the glowing fireplace.

For this card I used a 10.5cm x 29.7cm (half A4 cut at 10.5cm). I scored the card at 14.8 and again at 7.4 (this formed the folded over easel part of the card).  This is a standard easel card in format. However, I had to cut the window through three layers of card using a craft knife to give the tealight the chance to glow through the fireplace. I started by cutting the middle of the fireplace out and using the middle rectangle as a template to cut the next two layers (I then carefully lined them up to adhere them together).  I stamped the fire on to a small piece of Vellum cardstock (slightly larger than the hole in the middle of the fireplace) and turned over to color the image with Stampin' Write markers. I sandwiched the Vellum between the layers before adhering the fireplace to the main card.

I used a Cherry Cobbler based layered with Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. I stamped the fireplace on to Very Vanilla and coloured with Blender Pens and Cajun Craze ink. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from another new stamp set called Cozy Christmas. To help the easel stand up I used Candy Dots and jewels. It gives just enough height to help the card stand up.

Finally here is a view of the card from the side to show how I positioned the tealight to make the fire glow.

I think I have earned a cuppa and a sit down today. It is 11.37am as I type this and the girls had me up at 5am. By 7am we were out walking and enjoying the warm morning (I thought as the weather is so changeable at the moment it would be best to take advantage of the sunshine early). We walked up over the hill to Carisbrooke Castle and the girls enjoyed the sights and meeting lots of early morning dog walkers. We then came home and baked a cake, a quiche, painted Summer's nails and I finally found time to publish this blog. A cuppa is definitely now in order. Phew......

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. Holiday Home Halloween Greetings from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and welcome to a Stampin' Sarah! week of Halloween creativity and inspiration to celebrate the festivities. My girls are a bit young still for Trick or Treating, but we will be indulging in a little dressing up and popping around to visit family for a few little treats on Friday.

I spent a very lazy Sunday morning yesterday with a cuppa and a browse of Pinterest. It was while perusing my feed that I came across this card by Melissa Davies. I just fell in love with it so gave it my own Stampin' Sarah spin. And so was born my week of Halloween projects as I loved creating this so much. I will  be back on Wednesday and Friday to share some great Halloween treat ideas and fun gifts.

For this card I used a Pumpkin Pie card base (would you believe this colour is the reason I fell in love with Stampin' Up!? My very first order included a Pumpkin Pie ink pad and pack of card!). I then embossed a second Pumpkin Pie layer with the Filigree Frame Embossing Folder and mounted on to a layer of Rich Razzleberry.

To create the main focal image I started by sponging a 7.5cm square of Whisper White cardstock with Tangerine Tango and Rich Razzleberry ink. I then stamped the spider, bats and trees in Basic Black. I stamped the tall house from the Holiday Home stamp set on to Old Olive card and cut the image out. I stamped the ghost and pumpkin on to a Whisper White scrap and hand cut the little images.

Once all elements were stamped and cut I simply glued and mounted with dimensionals. The final touch was a quick hand cut banner and the Happy Halloween greeting stamped in Tangerine Tango.

Thanks for stopping by today. Please come back later in the week for more Halloween ideas. If you have any questions about today's project or the products I have used, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. You can order online direct through my store by clicking the product links above or the pictures below. I also have availability in the next few months for your very own crafty party. Click on the Promotions tab above to see the exclusive hostess promotion running until October 31st.

An Autumnal Wondrous Wreath Thank You

Good morning and a very happy Autumnal September morning to you. It looks like it might be a lovely bright and sunny day here on the Isle of Wight. Perfect for our planned trip to Starbucks and then to the park to drink our Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

As you might have guessed, my thoughts have turned to Autumn and breaking out my shades of yellow and orange ink pads. I needed to make a quick set of Thank You notes for a recent party order I am delivering this evening and wanted to have a go at creating a non-Christmas card with the gorgeous Wondrous Wreath stamps. I like to create purely stamped thank you notes to show my lovely party customers all the different ways you can create easy cards just with your stamps.

The Wondrous Wreath stamp set works beautifully on its own simply layering up the image. I started with Hello Honey for the main leaf layer and then stamped over with Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss for the berries and bow.

I stamped the 'Thanks' sentiment from the Another Thank You stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on to Hello Honey cardstock and punched with my Modern Label Punch. I finished with two Regals Candy Dots.

It has been a busy couple of weeks at Stampin' Sarah HQ and I have really missed blogging (all my posts last week were scheduled while I was away on a motorhoming holiday in Lincolnshire). Before we went away we celebrated Sylvie's Christening. It kept Mum and I busy as we had handmade decorations, I decorated the cake, we had handmade jam and scones. But it was all well worth it as it was a lovely day shared with lovely people. It made me so happy that so many friends and family came to share the day. Some travelled from over the water too. I was grateful to each and every person who celebrated with us. And to give a little insight in to the day, here is the happy girl herself.

And here is Summer performing her special Red Arrows show for us in the garden after everyone had gone home.

Thank you for popping by today and for sharing in my Autumn creating excitement. If you have any questions about today's project or the products I have used, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. You can order online direct through my store by clicking the product links above or the pictures below.
