A quick Stampin' Up! and Project Life December catch up with Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters.

I thought I would share a quick catch up on my Journal Your Christmas/December Album. I haven't quite managed to keep up to date with doing it every day. But I do have a catch up session planned over the weekend. And I have most of my pictures printed and ready to go.

So here is what I've done so far:

Children's medicines are sadly a daily part of life in this cold weather with both my girls being poorly so it was worthwhile capturing it. And I enjoyed creating the little shaker element to add to my page with my Shaker Frames and Star Framelits.

I wanted to use the Cheerful Christmas stamp set to create my date feature on this page so I chose my Project Life cards (from the Hello December pack) in yellow and red and then coloured my stamp with the coordinating Daffodil Delight and Real Red Stampin' Write Markers.

I had a play with printing different sized photos for our trip to the Winchester Christmas marker. I really like the effect and with my Canon Selfy printer I can print multiple mini prints straight from my memory card. Project Life really is such a quick and easy way to capture memories. I am finding the process a lot easier this year now I have invested in one core kit and a printer I can use at home (rather than dragging to the instant printers at Boots everyday).

Here is one of my favourite pages- our Basingstoke Stampin' Up! group photo! What a lot of ladies there were that evening. Lots of faces old and new ;0) I used a swap I received as part of my page today. I loved that someone had thought to create a beautiful Project Life card as their swap! What a great idea.

And my final couple of pages for today use other Project Life cards I had in my stash. I used my Seasonal Snapshot cards and accessories for these couple of pages. They fitted my colours perfectly. I also added some embellishments from my (large) Christmas stash.

Thank you for popping by today. I hope you have lots of festive plans for the weekend. I will be welcoming my lovely ladies for the last of the years Card Classes. I am super excited to see them all. I just have to get myself organised to finish my prep this afternoon.

December Journal Project Life & Stampin' Up Style from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Thank you for joining me today. Be prepared for a lot of pictures today. I may have gotten a bit over excited about my December scrapbook. For those followers who have been with me over the past 5 years of crafting you will know the highlight of my crafty year is my Christmas Journal.

I look forward to creating my journal all year round. This year I have chosen to simplify my craftiness and work only with my Stampin' Up! Project Life album and Hello December kit. I sometimes get a little overwhelmed with my lovely Christmas stash. So limiting my materials to the cards and accessories kit is making my journalling a simple and quick daily activity.

Here is my front cover. This was CASed from a lovely fellow Demo Samantha. I saw her beautiful front cover using the Hello December Accessory Kit and wanted to give it my own silver and blue spin. It really got my creative juices flowing as I found the layering really inspiring. I inked the wooden Joy with my Encore Silver ink pad and used this as the focus of the cover. I then cut shapes using the Apothecary Accents Framelits from Vellum and the All is Calm Designer Series Paper and layered over silver embossing (the stamps are from the Project Life December Wonder stamp set).

Here is my covering page entitled 'Celebrate the Season'. I wanted to use the picture of my girls with their festive outfits as the focus of the page.

And here is my first official day of scrapping. I look a bit merry in this pic. We were having a December 1st Christmas party at my sisters. I promise it was just tea I was drinking *lol*

Previous years I have used Shimelle's JYC prompts as my day to day themes. But this year I decided to use the photo prompts below as my daily focus. I took this pic as my Day 1 'View'. All the Christmas-y things on my sisters party table.

If you are looking for Christmas inspiration. This list is a perfect daily prompt for those days you are stuck:

Stars, Sleighs and Christmas Cheer Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

I was hopping around Pinterest last week (as you do) and came across this amazing card by the very talented Teneale Williams (her blog is a must for some very inspiring ideas and techniques for using SU products). I had to give a Stampin' Sarah spin (I didn't have all the products required for a direct CASE).

I just loved the simplicity and the tone on tone Cherry Cobbler. When it comes to Christmas crafting, you can never have too much Cherry Cobbler I say. It is my number 1 must have for cards and festive creations. So matching my Cherry Cobbler cardstock base with the gorgeous Under the Tree Speciality Paper was a prefect combination (Under the Tree is actually a very thick and sturdy card perfect for Christmas box making!).

I daubered the edges of the Cherry Cobbler layer and then layered my Under the Tree piece with Brushed Gold cardstock. I created the edging with my Scallop Edge Punch from Champagne Glimmer Paper.

For the main image I cut a star using my Stars Framelits Dies from Crumb Cake cardstock. I stamped the sleigh image from the Holiday Home stamp set in Basic Black and doodled the stitching around the star using my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write marker. The sentiment and frame is from the Project Life December Wonder stamp set (a perfect addition to any Christmas scrapbookers stamp collection),

The final touch was a little Cherry Cobbler star (punched using the Itty Bitty Accents punch) and some swirly Linen Thread.

I just absolutely love the original and I love my Stampin' Sarah'd version too. I have to say a big thank you to Teneale for the inspiration.

And just before I go, don't forget to check out this weeks fab Weekly Deals by clicking the image below.

Thank you for popping by today. I hope you enjoyed today's crafty festive project. I'll have another project to share tomorrow so please come back to see what else I've been creating.

The Stampin' Up! UK Autumn Winter Supplement is here!

Good morning and welcome to a very exciting morning at Stampin' Sarah HQ. I am super excited to announce the launch of the Stampin' Up! Autumn Winter Supplement. This is the first time Stampin' Up! have launched an extra range of lovely festive products to compliment the fantastic Autumn Winter catalogue.

To see the full range of products click the picture above or click here for the online version of the supplement.

Now to introduce you to some of my favourite extras in the supplement.

The absolute star of the supplement is this Many Merry Stars Simply Created Kit. It is a ready made kit full of stars to create home decor, decorations, boxes, place settings. It includes all the die cut components to make lovely decorations such as this star and many more. My kit is currently winging its way to me from the SU warehouse in Germany. Fingers crossed it arrives today. I cannot wait to make all the lovely bits inside.

And my next product range to introduce you to is everything you need to create a perfect Christmas photo album/scrapbook. The Hello December Project Life range is perfect for all your Christmas memory keeping.

If you've been a follower of my blog for a while you will know I complete a daily album throughout December. I am going to mix it up a bit this year and do a fully Project Life album for my Journal Your Christmas album. So I have already stocked up on all the Hello December products and look forward to sharing all my creations with you throughout December.

I cannot wait to sit down and stamp and embellish the front cover of my album. That Crumb Cake cover is just crying out for some stampiness.

And here are the Hello December cards and accessory pack.

There are so many other lovely things in the supplement. I couldn't possibly squeeze them all in to this post. I cannot wait to receive all my bits to take some photos of the finished products for you. If you'd like a paper copy of the Supplement mailing to you, just drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk with your address details and I'll get one in the post to you asap.
