Hello December Album from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

So this weekend I suddenly realised that December starts this week! Which can only mean one thing- my December album! For those that have followed my blog for a while you'll know I have completed an album every December for the past 6 years. Last years is still half finished as I over complicated things and ran out of steam. So this year I am keeping things very simply - pictures and Hello December cards. That is it!

Well after realising how quickly December was upon me I spent some time yesterday designing and completing my album cover (the first time I have ever completed it in advance!).

For this cover I wanted a magical floaty feel to the stamping. So once I'd positioned all the elements from the Hello December Accessory Pack (including the gorgeous foiled 2016 acetate element) I added my Christmas Magic snowman in Crumb Cake Ink and then added snowflakes, stars and hearts flying above him. To give a little sparkly I added Clear Wink of Stella over all the stamped elements.

And to give you an idea of just how simple my project is going to be this year, here are all my supplies - Hello December Cards and Accessory Pack. I have a small shopping bag which contains a tombow glue, sticky tape, glue dots and a couple of festive stamp sets to go with this. But this is it! I will not spend 3 hours a day on one page this year. I want simply and lovely pages celebrating the season.

And best of all, if you want to join in and purchase your Hello December supplies, they are currently 30% off until the end of today as part of the Online Extravaganza! But all Online Extravaganza prices are only available until tonight. So get your order in quick. A Memories in the Making Botanical Scrapbook Page from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and welcome to a new crafty week here at Stampin' Sarah HQ. I had a lovely watercolouring class on Saturday with some lovely ladies. It was fun to try new techniques and play with the In the Meadow stamp set. I will post our projects from the class later in the week.

Today's crafty share is another of my Telford display projects. This one is a Delightful Dijon/Watermelon Wonder scrapbook page using the Memories in the Making Accessories Kit for the little extras (like the 'Summer Nights' title).

The first step for this layout was the background stamping on my Whisper White cardstock base. I stamped the textured images from Timeless Textures in Watermelon Wonder and Delightful Dijon in the top left and bottom right corners.

This was a perfect project for using up all the scraps and odd lengths of In Color 2015-2017 Designer Series Paper. I used all the off cuts as my background mixing up the colours, lengths ad patterns.

I embellished my page with layered flowers cut from In Color 2015-2017 cardstock using the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies. I love how these flowers work together and create so many combinations of blooms.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, or any of our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!).

Memories in the Making Scrapbook Page from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning lovelies. Welcome to a new crafty week here at Stampin' Sarah HQ. I have another of my Stampers Showcase makes to share with you today from my trip to Telford. It has been a while since I shared a 12"x12" scrapbooking layout.

I used the Memories in the Making bundle of Project Life products (including accessories, cards and stamp set) combined with the In Color 2015-2017 DSP and Timeless Textures stamp set.

I created the background by layering the Timeless Textures stamps using Watermelon Wonder and Delightful Dijon inks.

I added Watermelon Wonder DSP and then embellished with mini cards from the Memories in the Making Accessories Pack. All the embellishments and titles were created from the Accessories Pack too.

A Memories in the Making Mini Album from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Friday Crafters.

How has your week been? I've been super busy prepping for my card class tomorrow. I have some lovely makes to share with my ladies. I also had some lovely news yesterday. I entered a card in to a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator competition and I placed as a runner up which means I have been invited to a party at the UK Head Office to celebrate the Cards for Keeps charity campaign. I am so excited to get to have a look around SU HQ here in the UK.

I have a project to share today that I made as one of my display projects for Telford last weekend. I found an old mini album I had made in the early days of my scrapbooking. I realised it would be perfect to redesign and add pics too. I re-covered the front and back covers with In Color 2015-2018 Designer Series Paper in Watermelon Wonder. I used the Memories in the Making Project Life Bundle to decorate each page and to create the front cover (I used mainly the Embellishment Pack).

I went through my HUGE box of pictures ready for scrapbooking and found a set of pictures I took from a camping trip I took with Sam in 2011 before Summer & Sylvie came along. Mum and Dad went on a 6 week road trip so we looked after Kala for the duration. We had a blast camping on the Jurassic Coast for a long weekend and I loved reliving the memories making this little mini album.

The inside of this mini album was created from one sheet of 12"x12" Basic Black cardstock. I did a quick google search to find a video that would show you how to create this and found this  tutorial. I do love an economical project that uses only one complete sheet as the base album.

I added squares of DSP to each page and then cut my photos to fit. On the opposite flipped page I added the small square Project Life cards from the Accessories Pack along with embellishments and journalling.

A little Hello December craftiness from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty crafters.

As it is now officially Christmas season I can share with you my Christmas journal for 2015. I follow several of the online classes for inspiration for my album. The main focus is Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas Class as I have been following this for 5 Christmas's previous. I adore scrapping all the little details of my December each year. This year I have a little shopper bag beside my Selphy photo printer filled with Project Life cards and embellishments and I am limiting myself to only these otherwise I will get too caught up in every page and fall behind (the voice of bitter experience here!)

I indulged in a little creativity over the weekend and designed a very simple golden detail front cover for my 6"x8" Kraft Album (my perfect Christmas album size). I started with my Embossing Buddy to take out the static and prime the surface for heat embossing. I used my Stars Mask to versamark the stars across the cover. I then covered with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and heated with my Heat Tool to create these lovely shimmery gold stars. I added my Dec 2015 die cut from the Hello December Embellishment Kit as an extra glittery focus.

Gold is my theme colour this year. I think it will run through all the pages of my album.

I love these little tabs on the spine of my Christmas albums. They give a little insight in to what can be found inside. I used my Embellishment Kit again for my spine title tab.

And here is my first quick and easy page. Not a lot to report on December 1st so I simply printed pictures from my day and then simply embellished. I love not putting pressure on myself to journal unnecessarily. Some days I have lots to say and others I just like to capture little details like winning £5 on a scratchcard.

Over the next few weeks I will share more pictures from my journal and I'm also going to be showing a few little highlights of my 5 previous journals. I love how different each year ends up being. But lovely to look back on and see how things have changed.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!)

An English Garden Scrapbook Celebration from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Morning crafty friends. I thought I would take a little break from festive makes this morning and share a scrapbook page I made a couple of months back. I came across it over the weekend and thought I'd take a couple of pictures to share.

This page uses the lovely English Garden Designer Series Paper paired with the three step stamping set Garden in Bloom (photopolymer- so super easy to line up).

I started with a Whisper White 12"x12" base and then punched patterned circles using my 2" Circle Punch to create the patterned background.

I stamped the butterflies using colours taken from the English Garden DSP- Hello Honey, Night of Navy and Mint Macaron.

I added Metallics Sequins and Tiny Pearls for a little shimmer and texture.

I cut my title using the super useful Little Letters Thinlits in coordinating DSP.

I love creating scrapbook pages with lots of DSP and this was a perfect design for using up lots of little bits of English Garden paper that I had accumulated. I love the simplicity of adding a little bit of stamping detail too.

I hope you've had a lovely weekend. What beautiful weather we have been having. We ventured out for some fun in our campervan as well as visiting the Wolverton Garden Show. It is the last big event of the summer here on the Isle of Wight and we had a lovely time playing on games seeing all the beautiful hand made fair. It inspired me to create a lot of lovely bits and pieces that I look forward to sharing with you over the week. I've been having some festive fun and also creating with some of the lovely Stampin' Up! kits.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. A Merry Moments Christmas Scrapbook Page from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Friday! It is nearly the weekend *hooray* And in celebration of the fact that tomorrow is my first Christmas Craft Day 2015 (and the official start of Christmas crafting season at Stampin' Sarah HQ) I have a Christmas scrapbook page to share with you today.

As I was working on the projects for my Christmas Day I ended up with lots of little bits of beautiful Merry Moments Designer Series Paper left over. They were the perfect size to create the background for my photo for this page. I then themed the rest of the pages colours around the DSP (and as with all Stampin' Up! papers the colours are all listed on the reverse of the paper pack as well as in the catalogue too).

Behind the picture I slipped two of Stampin' Up!'s lovely new Foil Doilies. I love the festive fanciness of adding these to a project.

To create my chain of decorations I used lots of mixed embellishments (sadly some of these are now retired). I can give you a little bit of insider info, there are some seriously lovely embellishments in the new Autumn Winter catalogue that would be PERFECT for this page. But any buttons and sparklies you have in your stash would work well.

I hand drew the string on to my 12"x12" Cherry Cobbler cardbase and then adhered my mix of embellishments. I created baubles with circle punches and the Lots of Joy stamp set, I added a punched star and various buttons and pearls to give a mix of textures and sizes.

I do have a confession, the beautiful glimmery 'Wishes' is from a retired kit from last years Autumn Winter catalogue (do you remember the gorgeous star box kit?). But I can assure you that there are lots more lovely kits and embellishments coming on September 1st. If you'd like a catalogue posting out to you now (so you can get a head start on all that Christmas loveliness) please drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk and I'll pop one in an envelope for you.

The final finishing touch was the 'Christmas' that I stamped with Staz On ink and my rotary stamp and stamped directly on to the photo.

A Garden in Bloom Summer Scrapbook page from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Weekly Deals Wednesday! All new special deals are live today for the next week. Great products included this week including In Color Blossom Accents and my favourite Scallop Tag Topper Punch.

Today's crafty share is another of my week of scrapbook pages. This uses the Garden in Bloom stamp set with a variety of colours including Blushing Bride & Melon Mambo, Old Olive & Mint Macaron, Hello Honey & So Saffron. I thought this garden inspired set would be a perfect partner for my photos from one of the Isle of Wight's fantastic summer shows. The girls and I had a fantastic time pretending to drive the tractors at the Chale Show.

I created the banners with the English Garden Designer Series Paper (and I punched the pennant end with my Triple Banner Punch- so handy for getting a perfect punched end every time).

I love how simple this stamp set is to stamp and line up. The set comes in photopolymer and matches up perfectly with the assistance of a little tab at the top of each stamp which helps you to match up each layer of the flowers each time you stamp. It is so easy to get this lovely watercoloured effect.

I finished the page with this stamped and cut out flower embellished with a Metal Rimmed Pearl. I stamped my title with my Alphabet Rotary Stamp.

Pop over to my online store to see this weeks fantastic new Weekly Deals.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. An Awesomely Artistic Scrapbook Page from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters.

Welcome to a new crafty week here at Stampin' Sarah HQ. It has been another busy weekend here on the Isle of Wight. I've been working hard getting the final projects prepped for next week's Christmas Craft Days as well as taking a break from cutting and sticking and sneaking off to Cowes yesterday for a few hours of Cowes Week boating fun (we indulged in a CBeebies show and an ice cream!).

I thought I would kick off a week of scrapbooking today. I have a whole series of Stampin' Up! inspired pages that I have been saving to share with you all.

Today's project is a great page to use with any size of photo. I know we all have oversized pictures lurking in our crafting stash. Whether it is professional pics from events or school pictures or just those oddly sized pictures we don't quite know what to do with. This sort of page is perfect as you can adapt the stamped frame to any size. Just stick your picture first and stamp second.

For this page I used a Very Vanilla card base. I layered my photo with Brushed Gold and Cherry Cobbler cardstock and glued this centrally.

I then used the Awesomely Artistic stamp set with Garden Green, Cherry Cobber, Crumb Cake and Encore Gold ink. I created these corner frames by layering the images over one another. I love the ink splat stamp as when I try to create actual splats I always get in a mess.

To finish I stamped flowers from the Petite Petals stamp set and punched with the matching punch. I stamped a gold dragonfly on to Vellum and embellished with Basic Pearls. I then added a bit of glitz and sparkle with Brights Sequins and Basic Pearls.

I have loved getting my scrapbooking head back on. I forget how much I enjoy traditional 12"x12" scrapping. Pop back on Wednesday for another scrappy share.
