Sweet Treat Christmas Cards

At my recent all day Christmas crafting days my ladies had the Sweet Snowglobe stamp in their goodie bags along with two Sweet Treat cups. I designed these two cards for my ladies to use their stamp set and give them sweet treat ideas.

The first card is Bashful Blue, Garden Green and Real Red themed. We coloured the Sweet Snowglobe using Stampin' Write markers and then filled the cup with a little flaked glitter to make snow. I had to use an alternative snowflake punch for the embellishment, however, I have it on good authority that the new Stampin' Up! seasonal catalogue due to be released on Saturday features a rather lovely snowflake die.

The second card was Whisper White and Baja Breeze themed. The embossing folder used for this is Northern Flurry and I was given this last year from the US catalogue. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this makes it in to our new main Ideas Book in October.
I can't resist sharing this pic with you today. My Mum has been busy knitting for Summer. I'd asked for some seasonal hats for her and she started with this FAB pumpkin hat for Halloween (although I love it so much she'll be wearing it on every cold day from here till Christmas I reckon). Anyways, yesterday in full blown baby model mode, Summer gave us some beautiful expressions as we snapped away at her. Cannot wait to sit down and scrap the results as they are just too lovely (even if I do say so myself).
Happy Crafting (and I hope you all had a lovely bank holiday)

A Christmas Elf

Here is one of the projects we made at my two Christmas Crafting Days this month, a punch art Christmas Elf. I love the use of the Petal Cone Die to create this little Christmas table decoration. I cut the body from Lucky Limeade and then embellished with Red Glimmer Paper, Soft Suede, Basic Black and Whisper White Card stock. I created the little box he is holding using off cuts of Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper.
I've really enjoyed Christmas crafting again and I'm now building in a Christmas card or two in to all my card classes from now till December. Not that i'm wishing the rest of the year away as my little girl is already growing up way too fast.

Happy Saturday Crafting to all

Quick and easy Christmas

Here is a quick and easy Christmas card we made at last month's card class. I always like to include a quick and simple card to end the class as we're usually running late (too much chatting!) or all crafted out (used all our mental energy creating a beautiful box!).

So this was our class closer last month. The colours are Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green. We embellished with a simple length of spotted scallop ribbon and a small Cherry Cobbler bow on top of a Regals designer button. You cannot see in this photo but the Crumb Cake layer had extra detailing in a few scored lines along the top and bottom.

Our box for July was this petal card. I saw a similar project on a crafty blog and the lady had designed the box to fit an awkward shaped present. This box is perfect and simple to make as well. We stamped Rose Red and Marina Mist flowers from Vintage Vogue on to Bashful Blue card stock. We then cut the shape and put the box together. A perfect quick and easy wrapping for a gift.

I have one final Stampin' Up! project to share with you today.... my daughter's Christening cake. It was her big day yesterday and Mum and I had been coming up with all sorts of crafty makes for the day. The centre piece being the cake. We stamped a Whisper White strip for around the cake using Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade and the For Everything stamp set. We then crimped layers to go behind this in matching card stock and sent the  Beautiful Butterflies die through the big shot (and then textured with various embossing folders). To finish the butterflies we created their bodies and antennae using Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine. If you look closely at the pics below you will see butterflies were the theme of the day, both Summer and I wore butterfly covered dresses ;0)

Here we all are in our finery (Daddy's arm must've been really tasty!). This is Summer, Sam and me with Summer's godparents, Josh, Natalie and Sophie.

Back soon with projects to share from my Christmas crafting day at the weekend.

Birthday Daisies

Here is one of the cards from July's card class. I'd seen one similar on Pinterest and loved the use of the square stamp from Baroque Motifs (a set I haven't used in an absolute age- but one of my continuing favourites).

The colours used are: Baja Breeze, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Whisper White and So Saffron. This card used a mix of Big Shot dies and punches to create the flower, background and sentiment.

I am currently attempting to fit crafting in while Summer sleeps. She is too much of a delight when she is awake for me to get anything productive done. But i have a mounting pile of photos waiting to be scrapbooked of her ;0)

Here is one of her new tricks. She has become a master at holding her head up and jabbering away to her moses basket.

I'll be back tomorrow with another card class project.

Attic Boutique Thank You

Here is a project I made as a Hostess Thank You a couple of weeks back for a workshop I demonstrated at locally. I love these Attic Boutique papers and how beautifully they compliment the Summer Mini stamp set, the Open Water.

I used the fab new Edgelit dies to create the edging of the handbag.
I created the antiqued look by sponging the edges with Early Espresso. I created this embellished feature with scalloped circles which I sprayed with water, scrunched and layered. The brad is one of the lovely freebie brads from last months Everyday Enchantment promotion.
And finally here is the matching thank you card using the Apothecary Art stamp set and matching framelit dies.

July Scrapbooking

Oops! I think I should have posted these last month as they used last months promotion items. I just found these photos on my SD card and I'd forgotten to share them with you.

These were the two layouts we completed at our July Scrapbooking class. They used the gorgeous Everyday Enchantment papers as their theme.

I'd seen a similar layout online which used the squares of patterned paper and I loved it so had a go at my own version here. We all enjoyed this LO as there was a lot of sponging and daubering round the edges which all my ladies enjoy doing.

Having completed the first layout (as lovely as it is) I realised we hadnt actually done any stamping yet. So had to make up for it on the 2nd LO. After all, the class is technically called 'Stampin' Scrappin'.

We used a retired Sale-A-Bration set for the background in Pool Party and Poppy Parade (all the Ps!). I found in my stash that i had the lovely repositionable clear scallop square die. What a find this was. I must have treated myself to it a while back and then forgotten about it. So I used it as a patterned background block on this LO. We finished with a lightly daubed flower made of two layered paper daisies.
Thank you for stopping by today and apologies for the slightly irrelevant post now that the promotion has ended. To see our current fab promotion please click here or see my promotions tab at the top. This months is not to be missed, a gorgeous free floral set, A Reason to Smile.
