Eastern Palace Suite Early Release

Happy May lovely crafty friends.

And to celebrate the start of a new month Stampin' Up! have given us a sneak peek of one of the new catalogue suites a whole month early! These fab bundles are only available for this month and come with lovely free gift extras too .;0)

I wasn't taken with the suite at first even though I absolutely ADORED the new In Colours featured in the suite- Lemon Lime Twist, Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide. However, I found this suite of products an absolute delight to stamp with. Once I got going cutting and creating medallions and stamped greetings I was in my element. I haven't used my Big Shot in quite a while so I merrily sat trying all the different combinations of medallion.

Here is what I came up with.

I created the little holder for the card set using the Eastern Palace Speciality Designer Series Paper and added a medallion cut from Tranquil Tide and Dapper Denim cardstock. I finish I added one of the gorgeous Vinyl Stickers and a Gold Tassel (only available in the Premier Bundle).

I had fun using the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set with the coordinating Designer Series Paper to create the different card designs and patterns. I just love the simplicity of stamping and using the stamps for colouring. I cannot recommend this stamp set any more highly as I just love playing with the patterns and adding stamped details.

Details on the two bundles of products can be found below or click on the image to be connected through to my Online Store. The Hostess Club code for the month is MUYACK6W. If you use this code to order online you will receive a lovely handmade gift from me in the post next month ;)

Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! and their products. I would be happy to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love the opportunity to demonstrate for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn exclusive free products and all guests get to create a fun crafty project to take home too. No crafting experience necessary! Get in touch if you'd like any further information.

Last bit of Christmas Crafting

Follow Me on Pinterest
Well I know it is a little late but I'd like to wish all my blog readers a very Merry Christmas. Thank you all for reading through 2012 and I look forward to sharing more crafty projects with you in the New Year. I have some exciting changes coming up in 2013 and will be structuring my posts so that I update on a regular basis. I have some exciting colour challenges lined up and a regular weekly embellishment tutorial feature planned also. So pop back in early 2013 and I'll have more info to share with you then ;0)

In the mean time, I thought I would share a last bit of Christmas craftiness. I was looking through my computer files and my SD card and thought I would share with you the last crafty projects I found hiding amongst pictures of projects I have already shared with you ;0)

This is one of our cards from the December card class. Inspired by an amazing card I saw on Pinterest. I love the stamped background and the white heat embossing over the top. Giving a bit of a swirl with Crumb Cake ink and a dauber over the embossing gives the darkened ink effect.

This second card is a stamping only Christmas card that can be adapted for any occasion by changing the greeting and colour (see the original inspiration here on Pinterest). This photo hasn't captured the shadow stamping behind the Garden Green swirls. I stamped the swirls first with my Illuminate Glimmer ink pad to give a bit of glittery bling to the card. The swirls, flowers and label are all stamped from the Everything Eleanor stamp set. The colour scheme is Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler.

And lastly, here is a project we made in my December workshops using the fab Season of Sweets Designer Kit from the Autumn Winter catalogue. I provided the gingerbread stars and everyone got to take home a lovely little package with a biscuit and gift label.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you are all having a fabulous festive season and looking forward to what lies ahead in 2013.

And just a quick reminder, I have my new virtual hostess club starting in the New Year. Click here to find out more and get in touch if you'd be interested in signing up ;0)

Happy Festive Crafting and look forward to more craftiness in 2013

Quick and Easy Christmas Cards

My apologies for the terrible lighting in this photo. I wanted to share these two Christmas cards with you this evening and had to take pictures with only the night time lighting.

The first uses my new favourite technique, the triple time stamping technique, with the Watercolor Winter stamp set. The colour scheme is Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla. This card also uses my new favourite embellishment, the fab Ribbon Sliders.

The second card is Crumb Cake and Real Red with Designer Series Paper from the Be Of Good Cheer papers to create the candy cane (cut using the Holiday Collection Framelits Dies). The greeting is from Curly Cute.

I have been busy all day today preparing for a Ladies Night at Ryde Rowing Club tomorrow (event starts at 7.30pm). Please stop by and say hello. I will be demonstrating the cards above using gorgeous products from the new Autumn Winter Seasonal Catalogue. I have also designed a lovely Make and Take using Betsys Blossoms from the new 2012-2013 catalogue. I look forward to hopefully seeing you tomorrow and sharing my Make and Take project with you then.

And please don't forget my Open House on Saturday between 10.30am and 3.30pm. All are welcome and please feel free to bring family and friends. Please drop me and email or give me a call to find out more: poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249.

Time to say Goodbye

I always grow so fond of each years Stampin' Up! catalogue and I'm sad to say goodbye to some of my favourite stamps and products (I'll be saddest to say goodbye to Season of Joy- my most used stamp set of the past 3 years!). My catalogues come to bed with me, I read them in the bath, they get tatty in my handbag and I take them on holiday with me too. So as you can imagine, I grow quite attached to the Ideas Book. So today is the last day for ordering from the 2011- 2012 catalogue and from the Last Chance List. Tomorrow I will be back to share the fantastic (and HUGE) new 2012-2013 catalogue with you.

I have just worked out how to add a Facebook 'Like' feature to my blog. So please click on over to my Stampin' Up! IOW Facebook page which I set up a couple of months ago to promote my classes and events. Click on Like below to ensure you are kept up to date with all things crafty and Stampin' Up!

A quick reminder, I am holding another new catalogue Open House next Saturday from 10.30am-3.30pm (October 6th). Please pop by anytime during the day for a new catalogue and a Make and Take (and a Starbucks coffee of course ;0)

And just before I go for the day, I thought I would have a quick reminisce to some of my favourite Season of Joy projects I have made over the years. I love this set, but as of tomorrow I will have a whole host of new favourites I am sure. Roll on the new catalogue.....

And we cannot forget dear old Dasher. He has been a staple of my Christmas makes for the last two years.
Any questions or for a crafty chat please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249.

Sweet Treat Christmas Cards

At my recent all day Christmas crafting days my ladies had the Sweet Snowglobe stamp in their goodie bags along with two Sweet Treat cups. I designed these two cards for my ladies to use their stamp set and give them sweet treat ideas.

The first card is Bashful Blue, Garden Green and Real Red themed. We coloured the Sweet Snowglobe using Stampin' Write markers and then filled the cup with a little flaked glitter to make snow. I had to use an alternative snowflake punch for the embellishment, however, I have it on good authority that the new Stampin' Up! seasonal catalogue due to be released on Saturday features a rather lovely snowflake die.

The second card was Whisper White and Baja Breeze themed. The embossing folder used for this is Northern Flurry and I was given this last year from the US catalogue. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this makes it in to our new main Ideas Book in October.
I can't resist sharing this pic with you today. My Mum has been busy knitting for Summer. I'd asked for some seasonal hats for her and she started with this FAB pumpkin hat for Halloween (although I love it so much she'll be wearing it on every cold day from here till Christmas I reckon). Anyways, yesterday in full blown baby model mode, Summer gave us some beautiful expressions as we snapped away at her. Cannot wait to sit down and scrap the results as they are just too lovely (even if I do say so myself).
Happy Crafting (and I hope you all had a lovely bank holiday)
