A Birthday Blooms Celebration with Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

A belated Happy Monday to my crafty friends.

Well what a weekend it has been. Spent the weekend in London with Sam. We had tickets to a Walking Dead convention at Olympia. We are huge fans of the show so spent the weekend geeking out at the panels and perusing the horror and sci fi stalls. We also indulged in some shopping and eating in central London with a trip to Bubba Gumps (Forrest Gump themed chain restaurant).

Now that doesn't begin to explain my late posting today though. I lost most of today to a migraine!!! I had the project all lined up to share but spent most of today curled up in the dark. Thankfully I've slept off the worst of it and I am ready to share my craftiness for the day.

This is a project I made for a recent crafty Stampin' Up! party I demonstrated at. The project seemed to go down really well. This stamp set, Birthday Blooms, has proved super popular amongst my regular class attendees. I just love the swirly sentiments.

For this card I used a 10.5x21cm Whisper White card base (scored at 10.5cm). I used a strip of Rose Red cardstock layered with a piece of Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper (from the Spring Summer catalogue).

I positioned my paper strips and then stamped my line of hearts in Rose Red.

Once these layers were adhered I punched my 2" circles from Rose Red cardstock and then layered this with Botanical Gardens Vellum (a Sale-A-Bration freebie item). As you can see I struggled a bit with my glue dot positioning  and should have moved them to hide underneath my flower a bit better. A note to remember for next time.

To finish I stamped my sentiment and stamped the flower in Memento Black ink and used my Blender Pen to colour in Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi.

Thank you for popping by today. Pop back on Wednesday when I'll be giving you a little sneak peek of this months card class projects. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!).

A Pedal Pusher Thank You Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Hello crafters and a very Happy Wednesday to you.

Stampin' Up! have launched three exclusive Sale-A-Bration items for the last 6 weeks of the promotion including some gorgeous glitter washi tape. You can choose any one of the three new items with a purchase of £45+ from now through to the end of March. I have used the new Pedal Pusher Sale-A-Bration stamp set for today's crafty creation.

I am demonstrating for some lovely ladies tonight at a Sale-A-Bration crafty party. I wanted to make a thank you note for my hostess and this is what I came up with. I used one of our Whisper White Notecards as a base. I combined the freebie Pedal Pusher bike image with the flowers from the Cottage Greetings stamp set. My colour combo is Crushed Curry, Rose Red and Mint Macaron.

I coloured my bike with a Blender Pen and ink from the lid of my ink pads.

I added a strip of DSP from the gorgeous Love Blossoms DSP Stack (a bargain at £7.25 for 48 sheets). I stamped the sentiment and mounted over two strips of the super sparkly Sale-A-Bration Glitter Washi.

To finish my card I added tiny Basic Pearls to my flowers for added dimension and sparkle.

Here are all the new Sale-A-Bration items together:

Thank you for popping by today. Pop back on Friday for more craftiness. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. Garden In Bloom Candle Gift Set from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

It is a new crafty week at Stampin' Sarah HQ and a fun week of craftiness ahead with classes and crafty get togethers. I had a lovely weekend catching up with some Stampin' Up! friends and sharing the new catalogue and all the goodies contained within with them.

Now the party is over I can share with you the candle I made as my Hostess thank you gift. I have gotten a bit carried away with the Garden In Bloom stamp set recently. Everything I have been stamping seems to feature this lovely triple stamping set.

I created these two candles using the tissue paper technique. I stamped the floral images on to white tissue paper and then wrapped the tissue around my candle and held in place with tightly wrapped greaseproof baking paper. I then used my heat tool to melt the wax a little and soak the tissue paper in to the candle. Such a simple technique but perfect for all occasions.

For the blue tone floral candle I used Memento Black, Pool Party, Marina Mist, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight ink to stamp my flowers and leaves.

I was really pleased with the way the candles turned out. My second attempt was a little more detailed and I forgot that the ink was still wet on my craft table so it all got a bit smudged. But Summer absolutely loved it and has adopted the bumble bee and butterfly candle as her own.

If you pop back on Wednesday I will share the matching thank you card and packaging for this card. I had so much fun designing the cute little set for my hostess at the weekend. Half the fun of prepping for a Stampin' Up! party is coming up with the gift set for my hostess.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!)

A Flower Patch Thinking of You Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you+ are having a great week so far. I've been busy with cardmaking and pressie making for a few family birthdays coming up on the next week or so. Lots to share over the next week. But I won't post until I've shared my projects with their recipients.

Today I have a card class project to share. This was inspired by this card I saw over on Leonie's Blog. I love the simplicity of the framed stamping.

I created the frame using my Square Framelits Dies. I then marked the corners of the square on to my Whisper White layer so I would know roughly where to position my flowers and stems.

I used Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz to stamp the flowers and stems from the Flower Patch stamp set.

The sentiment is from the Sheltering Tree stamp set. I stamped this in Rose Red and added Candy Dots and tiny Basic Pearls to finish.

A Work of Art Hostess Thank You Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. What a wet and grey start to Good Friday. I'm hoping the weather improves a bit here on the Isle of Wight as we have an Easter Egg Activity Hunt to get to at 11am at the RSPCA. The girls have their Easter Bonnets all ready and everything ;0)

I have a thank you card creation to share today. I made this for a lovely friend who recently hosted a Stampin' Up! party at her home. This is inspired by a card I saw over at Pootles blog. I love the ombre effect of inking the stamp once and then stamping three times so you get the gradually lightening tones.

The colour I picked for this card is one of my favourites, Coastal Cabana. I stamped the swish from Work of Art three times and then added the fancy 'Thank You' from Another Thank You.

I added the little Silver Glimmer Paper shapes punched with the Itty Bitty Accents punches for an extra bit of bling (no card is complete without sparkle).

I'd like to wish you a very Happy Easter weekend. I hope you get lots of crafty time as well as fun doing whatever you have planned.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (or click on the links below to find out more about specific products) or get in touch directly and I  can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door.

A Wondrous Wreath Thank You from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning a very Happy December 5th to you.

I recently made a large batch of these thank you cards for my November customers as a big thank you for their Christmas crafting custom.

I love the versatility of the Wondrous Wreath stamp set. It doesn't just have to be your traditional red and green Christmas wreath. I stamped this in Soft Sky, Island Indigo and Encore Silver ink and then embellished with Basic Rhinestones.

The 'Thanks' stamp is from the Another Thank You Photopolymer stamp set (stamped here in Island Indigo).

I hope you have a lovely festive weekend planned wherever you are. I am hoping to be catching up on my December Journal to share my pages with you next week. I will certainly have lots of lovely things to journal after our lovely trip away and of course sharing creativity with my fellow Demo's yesterday at our regional event in Basingstoke.

If you have any questions about today's project or the products I have used, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. You can order online direct through my store by clicking the product links above. I also have availability in the next few months for your very own crafty party so drop me a line to find out more and get your date in the diary.

Watercolor Wonder meets Petite Petals Hostess Gift

Happy Friday! I hope you have a lovely weekend planned. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some lovely weather so the girls and I can get out and about. We've been enjoying long walks and feeding the ducks this week. But should the weather take a turn as predicted I have lots of crafty projects on the go at home planning for my Christmas Craft Days next month.

Today's crafty make is another gift set for one of my recent party hostesses. I always like to give a handmade crafty gift to my hostesses to say thank you on top of the lovely product freebies they receive from Stampin' Up! I created another of these super simple handbags that we were shown at our Telford Regional. I shared a similar one here. This is made from one sheet of standard UK A4 card (in this case I used Strawberry Slush with Blushing Bride and Rich Razzleberry accents).

Here is the picture on our instruction sheet from the Stampin' Up! event. This was designed by Julie Kettlewell and shows exactly how you need to divide up your base sheet of cardstock.

Once you have cut and scored your A4 sheet you then just layer your cardstock for the decorative outside panels. I used the Petite Petals stamp set to stamp a layer of Whisper White and mounted on to Rich Razzleberry.

For this card I used the new Work of Art stamp set. This is such a versatile set with brush stroke stamps, mixed sentiments and the chevron design used above too. For this card I used my Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies to create the window. On the base Whisper White layer I stamped the Chevrons in Rose Red, Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride to create the layered pink look. I then used my Blushing Bride and Rose Red markers to doodle an edging to my window.

I finished by stamping the sentiment and highlighting with 3 shades of pink Candy Dots.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you all have a lovely crafty weekend. I would love to hear what you are up to or see your crafty projects. Please pop over to my Facebook page and share your weekends crafty plans:

Sweet Sorbet Hostess Club Gifts

Good morning crafters and friends. How was your weekend? Hope you had a good one. We briefly saw sunshine on the Isle of Wight. But sadly it was replaced with wind and rain yesterday. I've been more than happy to stay tucked up indoors getting some crafting done and hibernating until Poulton-Williams the 2nd arrives next week.

One of the projects I worked on over the weekend was my hostess club gift for February's orders. Mum recently picked up these fantastic note pad blocks from Tesco. They were perfect for covering in Stampin' Up! papers and embellishments to include as a thank you to my ongoing hostess club ladies. It is one of the crafty highlights of my month making an extra little something to include with the orders. I'm already working on something to include with March's bags too.

I covered each note pad block box with Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper (free with a Sale-A-Bration order of £45- don't forget Sale-A-Bration ends this month! So get your orders in before March 31st to qualify for your fantastic freebies).

I wrapped each lid with a length of Natural Chevron Ribbon and secured with a Regals Designer Button. I created the embellishment using Summer Starfruit, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe & Pool Party cardstock punched with the Blossom Punch, Pansy Punch and Petite Petals Punch. The layers were secured with an Antique Brad

The last detail I added was the small monogram stamped with the Occasions Alphabet stamp set and punched with the Petite Curly Label Punch.

I would love to welcome you in to one of my hostess clubs. I have spaces available in my upcoming Stampers 10 club starting in April. You would need to place an order of at least £15 per month for 10 months and receive the hostess benefits one month and any extra freebies/promotions that I can share between the club on a month by month basis, as well as a little extra handmade gift from me with your order each month (plus a copy of any new catalogue that goes live during your 10 months, which would include both the main Annual Catalogue and Autumn Winter Catalogue for this new April club).

For more information please pop by the 'Virtual Clubs' tab at the top of my blog. I would love you to join in and to welcome you with a little hello to the club gift. If  you think you'd be interested in signing up, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk and I can provide a bit more information.

Please get in touch with any questions about Stampin' Up! or today's project. I'm always happy to chat craftiness.

Sweet Sorbet Thank You and Party Gifts

Good morning all.

Hooray for Friday. It is nearly the weekend ;0) It has been a fab week here on the Isle of Wight. I've been given the date for the arrival of my new little one (coming in 4 and a bit weeks now *so excited*), had fun with friends at a crafty party, been swimming with Summer and generally been prepping for little Miss's imminent arrival. And the fun hasn't quite finished yet, I'm meeting with another group of crafty friends this evening for another fun Sale-A-Bration party!

I thought I would share with you today the crafty creations I made for Wednesday's Stampin' Up! party. The card above was inspired by this lovely Thinking Of You card I had seen on Pinterest. I loved the idea of using the Sweet Sorbet DSP (free with an order of £45) in this way, cutting the branch image from the design and using this as a focal point.

I wanted to create a bolder colour scheme so I used Strawberry Slush as my base (my hostesses favourite crafting colour) and highlighted with Summer Starfruit (this fab twine could be yours for FREE with a £45 Sale-A-Bration order!). I also used the cork embellishments from the same Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack under the stamped greeting.

The following two pictures show the gifts I created for my hostess and the for the party door prize.

I love the 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon. It is perfect for wrapping and making gifts extra special. I also love reusing my empty stamp boxes to create little gift boxes. Inside I put a selection of little handmade gifts as well as lovely Stampin' Up! product too.

Here is the door prize: a little cardmaking starter kit filled with card blanks, DSP, an ink spot and a Celebrate stamp.

We had so much fun crafting together and my hostess received a huge £40 in product freebies. If you'd like to host your own crafty party and receive a handmade hostess thank you gift as well as Stampin' Up! products for free, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249 and I'll talk you through hosting a party (super simple on your part as I provide everything for your guests to make a crafty card or scrapbook page).

Or if you'd like to have a look at all the new Spring Summer catalogue products online and take advantage of Sale-A-Bration (a fantastic freebie with every £45 spent) please click through to my online store using the following link:

And you can see the Sale-A-Bration brochure by clicking the picture below:

Thank you for popping by this morning. Please pop back tomorrow for another fantastic Pinkie blog hop and some Spring Summer creative inspiration. I'll be sharing a lovely little Valentine's sweetie dispenser project ;0).

Stampin' Up! UK Mini Christmas Table Favour Treat Bag Tutorial

Good morning crafters. How is your December going so far? I am up super early this morning for a little bit of a crafty catch up. I have a weeks worth of December scrapbooking to catch up on and a small window of opportunity before Summer wakes up for the day.

I thought I would share this little table favour treat bag today. I created this project for my November Hostess Club get together. I run a regular monthly crafty get together for all the ladies who have a place in my Hostess Club. We create a small crafty project as well as chat over a cuppa and cake.

I love the simplicity of this little 2"x2" favour bag created from a 6" square piece of Designer Series Paper (I used the Season of Style DSP from Stampin' Up!). This is the bag laid flat to show you the basic template (and show you how I have scored and folded the two edge pieces).

Here are the measurements for scoring the 6" square. It needs to be scored at 2" and 4" along both sides. You can then remove the 4 corner pieces. You then need to measure and mark 1" (the centre) on two opposite sides (these will form the triangle folded sides of your bag).

You can then score from the 1" mark to the opposite corner (I have marked in pen on the template below where to score if you look closely. It was very difficult to make the pen show against the patterned papers). The picture above shows on the left hand side the result you are looking to achieve with your scoring. Both sides of the bag will form this triangular shape.

To create the method for closing the bag you will need to punch 4 small holes (two on each opposite piece). You need to punch the holes in the two squares which haven't been scored. You can then fold the bag up and thread fine ribbon or bakers twine through the holes and tie shut. You can then decorate to fit your occasion (I have used the Stampin' Up! Wishing You stamp set for mine paired with my scallop circle and circle punches).

So that's really it. A 6" square scored at 2" and 4" on either side. Remove the 4 corners. Score two opposite sides from the 1" mark on the outside edge to the inner corner to create a triangle. Punch holes in the two remaining squares to form your closure. Fold up in to shape and decorate.

And just before I disappear for my scrapbooky catch up I thought I would share this amazing swap I received at Convention. Over upcoming posts I am going to share a few of the amazing creations I received from fellow Demonstrators. This just stood out for me as I love the Fishin' Around stamp. I have never been brave enough to try this hair gel pocket technique. But I just love the overall effect. This was made by a lovely German Demonstrator called Angela.

Thanks for popping by today. Please say hello and leave a comment. I have set myself a target to find new blogs to read throughout December, so leave me a comment and I'd love to stop by and say hello.

And if you'd like to find out more about any of the Stampin' Up! products used for today's creations please drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. Or alternatively pop by my online store which you can find here:

Party Door Prizes

We made it to Friday and my crafty weekend creation. Hope you've had a lovely crafty week and I hope you've enjoyed all my crafty shares (and not a bit of Christmas-y crafting which is most unlike me!).

Today's crafty make is a Door Prize gift bag I created for two of my recent Stampin' Up! parties. The door prize is one of my favourite parts of creating for a Stampin' Up! party. I always offer a little crafty prize for all attendees of my parties. Everyone enters their name in to the pot and at the end of the party somebody gets to take away a little crafty kit.

These two gift bags were based on the lovely Afternoon Picnic Designer Series Papers. I contrasted the light pastel colours of the papers with the bright contrast of Strawberry Slush ink and cardstock. I used some ready made mini gift bags I had in my stash to hold the contents of the prize (mini notelets, some small pieces of matching DSP, In Colour Boutique Details, sentiment stamp and a Stampin' Write marker). These were a perfect prize for my lovely party customers.

If you'd like to book your own Stampin' Up! party I have dates available through October and November. I can customise the party to your crafty interests (cardmaking, scrapbooking, gift wrap adn boxes). I am finding my customised Christmas crafty parties are going down really well at the moment. I can demonstrate different cardmaking techniques and all guests get to make and take a Christmas card too. And by booking now you'll have plenty of time to create your own Christmas cards and gift tags before the big day comes around. I'd love to chat to you about a date and talk you through all the lovely freebies you can receive for hosting a party. Please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249 (I will be back from my motorhoming adventure on Sunday so can return on calls first thing Monday! Please leave a message and I'll happily get back in touch).

Online Ordering

Oh and a quick reminder that if there are any crafty essentials or must-haves that you'd like to get your hands on, you can now shop online 24/7. All items ordered will be shipped directly to you and you can even earn hostess freebies if you spend £150+ (who doesn't love freebies?!) And I'll also be posting a little extra something to all people ordering through my Online Shop throughout September.

For an extra chance to win freebies, add the Hostess Code below to your order and at the end of the month I will be totaling the month's freebies and offering them to one lucky winner.

A little bit of Hostess Club craftiness

Good morning and a very happy Tuesday to you.

Today I thought I would share some little makes I created over the weekend for my Hostess Club ladies.

This is the first month of the club so I thought I would share the Stampin' Up! joy and get everyone started with some crafty essentials, a sheet of Dimensionals, an Anywhere Glue Stick, a Sponge Dauber and some different ribbons all tied up and ready to craft with.

I created a personalised monogram on the side of each gift using the fabulous Occasions Alphabet punched with the Petite Curly Label punch and layered over a little length of Gingham Garden Washi Tape.

And here is the Thank You label stamped with one of the frames from the Four Frames stamp set. The Thank You is from a new set called Lots of Thanks. The colours used are Melon Mambo and Old Olive. I finished the label with a Melon Mambo Candy Dot and two Rhinestones.

I'd love to welcome you to join a new Hostess Club and I can help you benefit from all the lovely freebies & promotions on a month to month basis (as well as one month you will receive all the hostess benefits for the months combined orders). I need 10 people to run another club, so please get in touch and register your interest and I would be more than happy to start another club very soon. Please click here for further info.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you are having a sunny and crafty week wherever you are. It looks to be getting brighter again here on the Isle of Wight. But the weekends rain was a much needed break in the hot weather. My garden is much happier for it.

And just before I go here is one more little crafty share, my little Summer indulging in my ribbon share package! This delightful package arrived from a Demonstrator friend on the mainland who had organised a product share and Summer was desperate to get her hands on all my lovely new ribbons. She gets into more mischief with every passing day.

A little bit of card class creating

Evening all and welcome to a new crafty week.

I am not sure what happened to my Thursday post last week. It didn't seem to publish. So that'll have to be a project for another day ;0)

To make up for the blogging gap recently I have a couple of projects to share with you today.

The card above is one of the projects from this month's card class. When I got my hands on the new catalogue I instantly fell in love with the Hostess Stamp Set, Simply Sketched. I had seen this card by Brian King on Pinterest and knew I wanted to have a go at it. I love the stamping on Very Vanilla and cutting the main flower image out to make it stand out from the newsprint. The colour scheme is Early Espresso, Blushing Bride and Strawberry Slush. I coloured the images using my ink pads and a Blender Pen.

Simply Sketched is a stamp set exclusive to Hostess orders. If you'd like to get your hands on it you can book a crafty party and earn yourself lots of lovely crafty freebies (including any of the exclusive hostess stamp sets) as well as have a fun evening with friends. To find out more please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249.

The second project is another of our card class makes using the fab Tag A Bag gift boxes and accessories. I love these ready made gift boxes and all the matching loveliness of the accessories pack.

We stamped the gift tag with stamps from the Chalk Talk stamp set. We then stamped the tissue paper insert in matching colours using Mosaic Madness. The colours we used are Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay.

Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you enjoyed our crafty projects.

Please let me know if there is anything Stampin' Up! related I can help you with. I am more than happy to chat about craftiness and especially Stampin' Up! and the products.

Happy Crafting ;0)
