A Merry Moments Poinsettia Quick Christmas Make from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. How was your weekend? We are just back from two weeks away in our motorhome. It was a bit rainy and cold but we had a lovely time in Northumberland exploring, walking, cycling and enjoying family time. I hope you enjoyed all the posts I scheduled for you in my absence. I made sure to create several weeks worth of craftiness before I left.

I have a quick make to share with you today. I made this a couple of weeks ago. And would you believe this card almost made itself from scraps in the bin. I was having a sort out of my craft desk and had thrown a load of scraps and odds and ends from other cards into my bin. When I looked in I saw the Merry Moments Tree DSP lying there with the ready cut out poinsettia and sentiment.

I rescued all the component parts and added a little bit of embellishment using my Banner Punch to cut the little flags from Merry Moments scraps. I added a White Perfect Accent and a few Basic Jewels and voila I had a Christmas card for my stash.

So there you go. Sometimes those scraps you throw away or those flowers that don't look right on one card can be put together to form something completely different.

And here is just a little peek at our time away. Here are me and the girls enjoying a seal cruise around the Farne Islands.

Painted Petals Tealight Gift Box Thank You from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Painted Petals has been by far my favourite of all the Spring Summer catalogue products and I will be sad to see it go on June 2nd. I love the effect  of the two step stamping (and how much easier it is now you can line up the photopolymer stamps through your acrylic block).

This project is inspired by the amazing Bronwyn Eastley. I absolutely loved the simplicity of this little tealight gift box. A perfect little thank you for a teacher or loved one.

The inside of the gift box with the little scented tealight:

I do enjoy a bit of fussy cutting from time to time. I loved raising this little rose to add dimension to the front of the gift box.

Wetlands Panel Screen Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a very Happy Monday morning to you all.

How was your weekend? Crafty I hope. I had my monthly card class on Saturday which was a lovely return to crafting with friends. It felt like a long time since our last class at the beginning of December. One of my ladies requested a screen card so I had a browse on Pinterest and came across this amazing creation by Jacqueline. I decided to give it a go.

This was a bit of a labour of love for all my class attendees and we got through several thick wedges of post-it notes creating all the masks and inky layers. But I think everyone was happy with their end result.

To create this card we used: Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky and Lost Lagoon.

I still absolutely love the Wetlands stamp set. I love these bird images and the grasses too. For this card I needed to create a mirror image of the goose image. I vaguely remembered someone telling me you could get a mirror image using a brayer. So I had a go and it worked perfectly. You just need to ink up your stamp and lay it ink side up on the table. Carefully run your brayer over the image and then run your brayer over your cardstock. It is as simple as that! This technique is also perfect for creating reflections in water if you are trying to create ponds/lakes.

Perpetual Birthday Calendar Project Kit stamped by Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. Are you loving all the new loveliness of the Spring Summer catalogue and Sale-A-Bration? What is not to love?

As promised I am sharing with you today the first half of my Perpetual Birthday Calendar made with the amazing Project Kit from the Spring Summer catalogue.

Some days I crave crafting using a kit. Something ready prepared and waiting to be made in to something beautiful. And this kit is my all time favourite kit offered by Stampin' Up! It is just such a lovely little make and so much fun to put together.

During Demonstrator preorder this was the first thing I ordered along with the coordinating Perpetual Birthday Calendar Photopolymer stamp set (all the lovely background stamps along with the months).

To keep it simple I used the suggested ink colours in the instructions: Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Baked Brown Sugar, Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and Real Red. I simply picked out these ink pads and sat down at my desk to create with the ready made die cuts, embellishments and accessories.

Each month has its own background embellishment stamp ranging from hearts and butterflies to splodges and leaves.

The kit also contains sequins, trim & confetti stickers to add extra texture and fun to your pages.

I especially love the little die cut feathers. I loved creating this Melon Mambo themed page for April.

Just a little tip if you purchase and create this little project kit. Each ready made calendar page is printed with a specific number of days. So be sure to make sure you pick the right number days for the month your are stamping. I am so glad I realised this before starting my calendar. I would not have been happy to have stamped January with 30 days or February with 31!!

And as well as the lovely stamped calendar pages you also get the hard board and clip to mount your pages on to. And they all come packaged in this lovely presentation box too (perfect for keeping your completed calendar in when not on display or for decorating if you are giving as a gift).

Pop back on Friday and I will have the final 6 months of the year to share with you.

Here is the full kit and all its components. If you click on the image it will connect you through my online store for more detail. The kit is £14.50. A really good value fun make.

A Simply Wonderful Saleabration 2015 Sneak Peek from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a happy last Monday of 2014 to you.

I hope you had a lovely festive weekend. I am back to work after my maternity leave next week so I am just enjoying my last week at home with my girls before it is back to life as a working mum.

I have another quick Saleabration sneak peek for you this morning. I was lucky enough to win a Prize Patrol at the Basingstoke Regional earlier in the month. This was the stamp set I won, it is a Saleabration freebie stamp set (free with a purchase of £45+ from January 6th onwards) called Simply Wonderful.

This is a card I made for a friend's birthday using a Whisper White Notecard base and Bermuda Bay accents. I used the small flower from the Simply Wonderful stamp set and coloured with my Bermuda Bay and Old Olive Stampin' Write markers and created my own DSP (perfect for making multiple projects from one sheet of stamped card). I think the Stampin' Write marker sets are often overlooked but they are a fantastic and affordable way of getting a whole colour family in one go. And they allow the flexibility to colour your stamps in multiple tones at the same time. A great way to get started with Stampin' Up! and our coordinating colour families.

I layered my stamped banner over Bermuda Bay and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. I then completed my card with roses created using my Spiral Flower Originals Die. I added a Basic Pearl for the centre of each flower for an extra bit of glamour.

Are you as excited as I am about Saleabration and the Spring Summer catalogue launching January 6th? I cannot wait. Who doesn't love a free product reward for buying crafty goodies? If you would like your own copy of the catalogues popped in the post please drop me a line with your address and I will get them in the post to you to peruse at your leisure.

A very Cheerful Christmas card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and welcome to a new crafty week here at Stampin' Sarah! HQ. It has been a very wet and grey weekend here on the Isle of Wight but that didn't stop all the lovely early Christmas shoppers from turning out at another fabulous Christmas Fair in Cowes on Saturday. I love this annual event at the Yacht Haven. So many lovely stalls and customers. My felt and ribbon wreaths proved super popular and I'm glad I decided to have a go at making them. I'll share a few pics of my favourites later in the week (also show you some new ways to use Stampin' Up! dies).

Today's crafty project was designed by my downline Lorraine for our team get together last week. I had forgotten how much I love the Cheerful Christmas stamp set. It works so beautifully with the Filigree Frame Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Such a classic and simple card to recreate.

We used a Very Vanilla cardbase embossed with the Filgree Frame. We then stamped the 'Christmas Cheer' sentiment in Always Artichoke. Then to finish we coloured Basic Rhinestones with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities pens and embellished the swirly stamped image. Et voila! A perfectly festive (and easy to mass produce) Christmas card.

Seasonally Scattered Thank You from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Continuing the theme of the week, baby wipe stamping, here is another quite thank you note I created with the Seasonally Scattered stamp set.

For this combination of colours I used Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler reinkers. I wanted a more yellow-y orange effect but didn't have the right reinkers (something I have now rectified with an extra order for the remaining colour families I didn't already own in reinker). I stamped the 'Thanks' image on to Naturals White cardstock (more of a homemade paper feel).

I love how this turned out. It still has an autumnal feel about it.

The little flowers I added were punched with my Itty Bitty Accents flower punch from Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I punched the images from a scrap piece of card which I had previously stamped the same image in Encore Gold which gives the slightly patterned flowers.

Today is Wednesday, so you know what that means, Weekly Deals. Click on the picture below to connect through to my online store to find out more about this weeks product bargains.

The Newborn King gold embossed Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products

Good afternoon on a very rainy and wet Autumn afternoon. The season has officially changed and we welcomed the rain with a soggy walk to playgroup stomping in all the puddles this morning (much to Summer's delight). But with the rain and the puddle jumping also comes Pumpkin Spice Lattes and ginger nut biscuits so I am more than happy to celebrate the season.

I have another of my September class makes to share with you today. I absolutely adore The Newborn King stamp set. I am a real sucker for nativity scene stamps and have a lovely collection of images in my craft room and this is now one of my favourites. I love the mix of the traditional manger scene mixed with the contemporary styled trees.

This card was inspired by this card I found on Pinterest. I loved the simplicity of the gold embossing on black. Not a traditionally festive colour scheme but so effective with the detail of this stamp.

I added my own detail by layering the image with Brushed Gold cardstock and a layer embossed with the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder (run through my Big Shot). I ran my Gold Encore ink pad over the embossed layer to colour the raised embossed stars. The Mary, Joseph and Jesus image was coloured with my Chalk Marker.

Thank you for popping by today. Don't forget to check out this weeks Weekly Deals and our World Cardmaking Day exclusively discounted products.

A simple Seasonally Scattered Thank You Card using Stampin' Up! Products

Happy Friday crafters! It is the weekend *hooray*

Just a quick thank you note to share today. I made this to match my Gift Box from earlier in the week. This was my Hostess Thank You Card to accompany my recent party gift.

I absolutely love the Seasonally Scattered Stamp Set and loved creating this simple and clean stamped card using the Thank You stamp embossed with Gold Embossing powder.

It was simply embellished with Cherry Cobbler flowers punched using my Itty Bitty Accents Flower Punch. Each flower is embellished with a Rhinestone.

You'll notice my Rhinestones extend beyond my embossed sentiment. This is due to little fingers getting a bit inky and then picking up the card to tell me how lovely it was. Rhinestones are a perfect cover all for all those rogue bits of glue and ink that could otherwise ruin a perfectly lovely card.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you've had a productively crafty week. More to share next week and I'll try to throw in some non-Christmas projects although with the Autumn Winter catalogue being so chock full of loveliness I am in full festive mode at the moment.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this project. You can get in touch via email: poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. I'm more than happy to help. All Stampin' Up! products can be ordered through my online store by clicking the product links above or the pictures below. Or get in touch direct and I'll happily place an order for you.
