Painted Petals Tealight Gift Box Thank You from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Painted Petals has been by far my favourite of all the Spring Summer catalogue products and I will be sad to see it go on June 2nd. I love the effect  of the two step stamping (and how much easier it is now you can line up the photopolymer stamps through your acrylic block).

This project is inspired by the amazing Bronwyn Eastley. I absolutely loved the simplicity of this little tealight gift box. A perfect little thank you for a teacher or loved one.

The inside of the gift box with the little scented tealight:

I do enjoy a bit of fussy cutting from time to time. I loved raising this little rose to add dimension to the front of the gift box.

A collection of Painted Blooms Notecards from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty friends. What have you been up to? Have you had a crafty weekend or simply been enjoying our beautiful weather? I managed a bit of both. But I was mainly overcome with a need to Spring Clean so ended up on a mission to clean the kitchen cupboards. So while I may not have lots of crafty projects to update you on I certainly have a sparkly clean kitchen ;0)

My project today is another of the projects my lovely ladies completed at the Painted Petals class on Easter Saturday. We used the fabulous Patty Bennett's blog post as inspiration for making 6 note cards from one sheet of Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper (the beautiful floral sheet with the large flower images).  I gave my ladies 6 card bases cut from Rose Red, Blackberry Bliss and Blushing Bride and the measurements for cutting the DSP. I also gave them a variety of embellishments from Blackberry Bliss Ribbon to die cut butterflies. I left them to create their own selection of note cards.

Here are the examples I made to display. There were originally 6 but unfortunately one fell foul to a cup of coffee and was ruined.

I used the Note Tag Punch to create little stamped embellishments with different greetings to add a little dimension to my cards.

I love the simplicity of keeping the cards plain and letting the papers take centre stage with just a simple embellishment or stamped sentiment.

A Painted Blooms Mini Scrapbook Page from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Friday.

What are your crafty plans for the weekend. It looks to be a lovely day outside here today so I am packing the girls in to our new bicycle kiddie trailer and going out for a ride to Mums. Hopefully we'll get some gardening done in the lovely weather. Then maybe Mum and I will get to make a start on the beautiful Lily Pond Crochet Blanket I shared with you last week ;0)

I have two 6"x6" scrapbook pages to share with you today. I held the first of my new product classes last weekend. All attendees received the Painted Petals stamp set and three project kits to complete. This was one of the projects they got to make. They could choose to make their project in to a little scrapbook page and add their own pictures at home. Or they could create a card front or picture to frame.

This was my first creation:

I used a 6" square base of Blackberry Bliss and then cut a 5.75" square Whisper White layer to stamp on. I used Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi ink to stamp the flowers from the Painted Petals set. I then punched three postage stamps from Blackberry Bliss cardstock. I used my 1" Square Punch to cut the little detail pictures to add to my squares.

I finished by stamping the Rose Red dots and the Blackberry Bliss sentiment and added a row of Pearls for added texture and detail.

The alternative version I created used the two step stamping bloom in the stamp set. I stamped the flowers in both Blushing Bride and Rose Red. I added Wild Wasabi leaf detail. Instead of photos I created floral frames instead using all the different floral stamps in the set.

Both pages were embellished with Butterflies punched from the matching Painted Blooms Designer Series Papers.

If you haven't already hopped on over to the newly updated Clearance Rack it is well worth checking up. There are some real bargains to be had. I have been receiving some great feedback on the bargains some of my lovely customers have been getting. I might have to partake of a stocking up trip to the Rack myself over the weekend.
