A masked Beautiful You Birthday Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Monday Crafty Friends. How has your weekend been? I've been super busy making samples and prepping for my big Christmas Craft Day in a couple of weeks.  Yesterday I cut 2448 one inch square paper pieces. To see what we will be making with these squares pop back later in the month and I will share all our Christmas in August projects (and I might even have a few sneak peeks of the new Autumn Winter catalogue too!).

Today I have another Beautiful You share. I adore this stamp set and its versatility. This card was inspired by a greetings card I saw on Pinterest. It uses masking (created with a Post-It) to cover the lady and stamp the background sentiment repeatedly down the card with the one contrasting coloured sentiment to highlight the birthday greeting.

The colour scheme for this card is Rose Red and Basic Grey. I don't often think to stamp with a grey ink pad. But i was super happy with this effect.

To finish the card I added Glitter Enamel Dots and Clear Faceted Gems. I could add these to every project I make as I love an extra bit of sparkle.

A Floral Statement Hello from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Hello crafty lovelies.

How are you doing? Have you been getting much crafting done in this lovely weather we've been having? I've been enjoying the long summer evenings with my cross stitch. My girls bought Sam a fire pit for Father's Day so we've been enjoying sitting outside around the fire and the light nights are perfect for making progress on my hare and the moonlight big stitch.

I've also been busy on the Stampin' Up! front. This past weekend Demonstrators up and down the country were all doing their bit towards the Birthday Wishes Challenge. Over two weekends this year Stampin' Up! are looking to make 10,000 cards to donate to their partnered charity, the Ronald McDonald House Charities.  I asked ladies at my events on Friday and Saturday to make extras to donate to the Challenge and between us all we managed to make a fab 45 cards. They've all been packaged and posted to Stampin' Up! UK HQ today.

When I first saw the new Stampin' Up! catalogue I was immediately taken with the Floral Statements stamps. I love the boldness of the sentiment and the flexibility of the colour scheme. The flowers can be coloured to suit any occasion. I chose this stamp set as the focus for my recent new catalogue parties.  I partnered the stamps with our new 2017-2019 In Colours. I am addicted to all things Lemon Lime Twist.

Once we stamped the images in Memento Black we used Blender Pens with Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Powder Pink to colour the floral detailing. To finish we added Clear Wink of Stella over the top of the flowers to give a little shimmery sparkle. The image was then layered over In Colour cardstock to compliment the coloured images.

Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! and their products. I would be happy to help. A Sunshine Wishes Bouquet Birthday from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Monday Crafters.

Hope you had a lovely crafty weekend. I've had a little sneak peek of the new Autumn Winter catalogue which has kept me entertained with many cups of tea over the weekend. So many lovely seasonal products coming up. I cannot wait to get my hands on them and start creating. If only I could shoehorn some extra hours in to the day.

I have a birthday card to share this morning. I created this for a lovely crafty friend of mine. She celebrated her birthday last week and I wanted to stamp her something special to celebrate.

I created layers of flowers with the Jar of Love stamp set. I used the two step stamping technique to add detail and depth to each flower and then hand cut them to add to my Sunshine Wishes heart die cut. I added sequins from the Brights Sequin collection for added sparkle. The sentiment is from the Tin of Cards stamp set.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. Playful Pals Frog Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Morning lovelies. How has your week been? I have been working on the lovely Enjoy The Little Things Project Kit ready for tomorrow's class. What a delight it has been putting it all together. Pop back on Monday and I will share the finished project with you.

Today I have another of my Telford display projects to share with you. When I started working with our carryover In Colors and I came to creating samples with Cucumber Crush I knew the Playful Pals bundle would be a perfect combination. I created this little frog using all the component parts of the Playful Pals stamp set.

To make my little frog in to a girl I added a Watermelon Wonder bow. I stamped the matching Suite Sayings sentiment in Watermelon Wonder also.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, or any of our products. I would love to help. A very special Playful Pals Birthday from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

I have a super special card to share with you today. It is my littlies 2nd Birthday so I sat down to create her something special using my Playful Pals stamp set. I did a quick Pinterest search for different animals I could make and I came across one post that had used the elements for little monsters. So I set about creating my little quartet of creatures.

I tried to use as many elements as possible to create my little critters. You might recognise the googly eyes from an old Valentines Stampin' Up! kit called Monster Hugs (which made me fall in love with little crafty monsters).

I loved adding all the little details to them like the little bows and the textured tummies.

The card itself measures 12" x 4". I used the thick piece of cardboard that comes in a DSP pack as I knew I wanted a thicker sturdier base to stand up to a 2 year old and 3 year olds handling. I layered my white card base with DSP from the Its My Party Paper Stack. I added the stamped 2 using my Number of Years bundle.

And here is my little 2 year old celebrating and being cheeky as always:

I have another birthday card to share with you on Monday that features a lovely little punch art mouse. Pop back then to find out more.

Thank you for popping by today.  And don't forget to pop by the International Blog Highlight that I mentioned on Wednesday over on Kylie's blog to check out all the creations and vote for your favourites. A Flowering Fields Embroidered Birthday Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Monday Crafters. I'm back from a fab week of craftiness with my family at the Manor House Hotel in Devon. For anyone who likes crafts, sports or eating I would thoroughly recommend it. I tried bisque painting, pottery transfers, silk painting, creative embroidery and joined in with quite a few fun exercise classes too. I'll try and get some pictures of all my creations to share with you later in the week. Already trying to plan when we can go back as I had such a fun time.

Today I have another of the birthday cards I made for my Mum for her birthday last week. I decided to embroider a Rowandean kit I had in my stash from last year's Handmade Fair and adapt it in to a card. This is what I came up with.

As soon as I completed the stitching I knew the Sale-A-Bration set Flowering Fields would be a perfect partner to finish my card. I mounted my stitching on to a Blackberry Bliss cardstock layer and mounted on to a Very Vanilla layer I had stamped with all the floral images from the stamp set. The sentiment is taken from Watercolor Words. For the card base I used a full A4 sheet of Blackberry Bliss folded in half.

To colour the flowers I picked inks that complimented my stitching. I used my Blender Pen to colour with Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo and Wisteria Wonder inks.

Due to the size of the card I needed to create my own envelope. I picked a sheet of the fab Sale-A-Bration Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper and used my Envelope Punch Board to fold and score my envelope. I used my Layered Letters Alphabet to stamp 'Mum' on the envelope and added a few flowers to embellish.

This was a much more detailed card than I would normally make but I love the finished effect. Sometimes we all have extra special cards to make and I was more than happy to put this all together to finish off my piece of embroidery.

Thank you for popping by today. Pop back on Wednesday for more craftiness. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. A Playful Pals Nana Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Have you seen the Playful Pals stamp set in the Spring Summer catalogue? I adore this stamp set and all the possibilities and combinations for creating these little critters. The set is designed to be used with the matching Pyramid Box Framelits but as you can see works perfectly on its own to make cards with.

Today is my Mum's Birthday and I wanted to create a card for my girls to give her. This is the card I came up with- a happy curly birthday lion using elements from the Playful Pals stamp set.

It is so simple to piece these elements together. I simply stamped the lion's face and then added the ovals for the mane. I simply love the curly wurly stamp for adding texture to the mane. I used Crushed Curry and Hello Honey for my main images. I then added black detailing for the stamped face.

The greeting is from the Spring Summer Party Wishes Stamp Set and I added the Nana using my Layered Letters Stamp Set. To finish I simply layered my lion image over So Saffron and Crushed Curry cardstock.

Thank you for popping by today. Pop back on Friday for more craftiness. I'll be sharing some of our card class makes with you next week.. A pair of Honeycomb Happiness Chicks from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning lovelies.

As promised I have a pair of cards I made with the gorgeous Sale-A-Bration freebie stamp set, Honeycomb Happiness. This stamp set has been designed to coordinate with the fab little Honeycomb Embellishments from the Spring Summer catalogue. These embellishments come folded flat and you simply open them out and peel the adhesive from the reverse.

My first card uses the Suite Sayings stamp set paired with the lovely little Honeycomb Happiness chick to create a happy little Easter greeting card.

I stamped in Blushing Bride and So Saffron and matched the inks with cardstock layers.

I paper pieced my chick by Stamping him on to So Saffron cardstock and cutting around him. I added the embellishment for his Blushing Bride coloured chest. The little flowers are from the Botanicals for You Sale-A-Bration set I used earlier in the week. I embellished these with tiny Basic Pearls.

My second card pairs the little chick with new product from the Spring Summer catalogue. I used the Party Wishes stamp set to create my balloon background in Old Olive, Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point. I then stamped my chick on to Pool Party cardstock and fussy cut him again.

I stamped the greeting in Bermuda Bay and positioned my little chick so it looks like he is sat on top of the greeting. I finished the chick with a Mint Macaron Honeycomb Embellishment.

The balloon image is also from the same set as the chick. It is also designed to coordinate with the Honeycomb Embellishments for a little added texture and dimension to your cards.

A Party Wishes Celebration from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty friends and welcome to a new Spring Summer catalogue day.

The catalogue and Sale-A-Bration only launched yesterday and I have already welcomed a new team member and placed a little order to get my hands on another of the fantastic Sale-A-Bration freebie stamp sets.

I got a little crafty time last night with both the girls in bed early. Here is a birthday card I created using the Party Wishes stamp set. Would you believe I measured and taped my mask carefully to allow me to stamp the strip and it still ended up wonky! But that is the beauty of crafting. Not everything turns out perfectly. I still loved the overall effect of the card.

I started by masking the strip along the bottom of the card and stamping the cakes, balloons, candles and confetti in Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and Tempting Turquoise. I then used a Sponge Dauber to add Daffodil Delight over the top to define my masked strip a little better.

To finish I added the sentiment in Pumpkin Pie and stamped the balloons (I hand drew the strings with my Pacific Point Stampin' Write Marker). I added three Brights Candy Dots along the bottom.

If you'd like a copy of the new catalogue to peruse at your own leisure, drop me a line with your address on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk and I'll get one in the post to you asap.

Check out all the details of the current Sale-A-Bration promotion by clicking the image below.

Another Spring Summer Sneak Peek from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good day lovelies. Happy week between Christmas and New Year. I love these days that don't quite make sense. A lot of family time and relaxing and confusion of what needs to be done when. I hope you are all having a lovely festive season. I haven't been up to much but have been enjoying lots of family silliness and a lot of stitchiness too (accompanied by family films on TV).

My BIG crafty news is that I finally finished stitching Summer's Christmas stocking that I took in to hospital when I went in to have her. So I have been stitching it on and off for 3 (nearly 4) years. Just got to finish it off and back it ready for next year. Oh and make another stocking for Sylvie too as I cannot have one handmade and not the other. That is a project that can wait till 2016 now though! Picture to follow later in the week ;0)

Today I have another sneak peek project for you. I made this card for one of my lovely crafty friend's birthdays just before Christmas. This uses the lovely Birthday Blooms stamp set. I adore the lovely handwritten sentiments in this set.

For this card I heat embossed the flower image in Silver and coloured with my Blender Pens using Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder and Wild Wasabi ink pads. I love all the different colour tones you can get simply by colouring with the Blender Pens.

I added the sentiment and a sprinkling of sequins for sparkle and finished by mounting on to a layer of Silver Foil card and then on to a Whisper White base.

I am currently working on my events for 2016 list. I have some great ideas for upcoming classes so please check back later in the week where I will be releasing all the info for the year ahead. I also have my new Hostess Club starting in January. I have spaces available so if you'd like to benefit from monthly gifts, freebies and hostess rewards please get in touch to find out more: poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk.

To celebrate the last few days of 2015 why not treat yourself to something from the Weekly Deals.  Who doesn't love a bargain at this time of year? And don't forget there are still plenty of bargains to be hand on the Year End Sale list.

A Happy Scenes Birthday Celebration from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty friends. How was your weekend? Yesterday was my middle sister's birthday so we celebrated with homemade cake and a trip to Tapnell Farm for everyone to have a go on the giant bouncing pillow.

I wanted to share one of the cards I made for my sister. She has two cats. Yes you guessed it, a black one and a ginger one (their names are Harry and Ron for all you HP fans). I knew the Hearth and Home Thinlits would be perfect coupled with the cat from the Festive Fireside Framelits. I wanted to create a birthday cake scene for Harry and Ron to be looking in on.

I stamped the cake from Endless Birthday Wishes and coloured with a Blender Pen. I hand cut the curtains from the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack. I wanted to have birthday themed curtains to suit the occasion.

A Garden in Bloom Birthday from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. I have a special birthday card to share today. I made this for one of my lovely crafting friends. In fact she was one of my very first class attendees. She was purchased a place at my card class as a birthday gift 5 years ago.

If you've been following my blog you will have seen the Garden In Bloom stamp set featured a fair few times. I just love the simplicity of the watercolour effect and the two step stamping. This card was inspired by this beautiful creation from Chris in the States.

I made a little mistake in my stamping and picked up my retired Pistachio Pudding stamp set instead of Mint Macaron as I had planned. But I still love the effect.

The Whisper White panel uses Memento Black ink with Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Old Olive and Mint Macaron (imagine I had used Mint Macaron to match the coloured cardstock layer).

I added the dashed line with my Black Stampin' Write marker and the birthday greeting is from Cottage Greetings.

Pop over to my online store to see this weeks fantastic new Weekly Deals.  I love the Metallic Sequins and might take this opportunity to have a bit of a stock up ;0)

A From Land to Sea Turtle Trio from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and how was your weekend? The Isle of Wight suffered a wet and grey weekend. Perfect weather for crafting but sadly a washout for the big events scheduled over the past couple of days. The girls and I battened down the hatches and made cake instead of braving the miserable rain.

My crafty share today is another take on an earlier card I made featuring the stunning turtle from the From Land to Sea stamp set. I had shown my class ladies my earlier Father's Day Card made in a similar style and they requested I taught it in this month's class. I tried a different combination of colours to create the mottled water effect.

To ink the background I scrunched up my Whisper White layer and then applied the ink pads directly to the cardstock. I used Mint Macaron, Lost Lagoon (used sparingly) and Coastal Cabana. I applied each colour separately using a Stampin' Sponge to blend the colour before it dried too much. If you do each colour one at a time you can add more of the lighter colours to achieve the effect you would like.

To colour my turtles I first stamped in Memento Black and then coloured with my Blender Pens using Old Olive and Garden Green. For the sentiment I used the Happy Birthday from the Circle of Spring stamp set.

While the weather was pretty appalling over the weekend. My sisters and I had some luck when Saturday afternoon brightened up a bit. We had tickets to a concert in Portsmouth in celebration of the America's Cup. It was a lovely bright evening (if a little windy) to enjoy McBusted and celebrate with a Hawaiian shaved ice. It is a rare occasion to get all three of us together due to work commitments. It was a great evening and a fun show.
