A very special Playful Pals Birthday from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

I have a super special card to share with you today. It is my littlies 2nd Birthday so I sat down to create her something special using my Playful Pals stamp set. I did a quick Pinterest search for different animals I could make and I came across one post that had used the elements for little monsters. So I set about creating my little quartet of creatures.

I tried to use as many elements as possible to create my little critters. You might recognise the googly eyes from an old Valentines Stampin' Up! kit called Monster Hugs (which made me fall in love with little crafty monsters).

I loved adding all the little details to them like the little bows and the textured tummies.

The card itself measures 12" x 4". I used the thick piece of cardboard that comes in a DSP pack as I knew I wanted a thicker sturdier base to stand up to a 2 year old and 3 year olds handling. I layered my white card base with DSP from the Its My Party Paper Stack. I added the stamped 2 using my Number of Years bundle.

And here is my little 2 year old celebrating and being cheeky as always:

I have another birthday card to share with you on Monday that features a lovely little punch art mouse. Pop back then to find out more.

Today I am sharing an extra special 2nd Birthday card I made for my friend's little boy. I used the party hat paper from the Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper set as the colour scheme inspiration. I used a Bermuda Bay cardstock base with a Calypso Coral layer.

I layered stars cut with my Stars Framelits over Night of Navy and Crushed Curry cardstock.

I stamped the 'Theo Is' using the Simply Serif Mini alpabet stamp set. The number 2 and circle sticker were both taken from my crafty stash.

It is Wednesday which means only one thing! Weekly Deals time. Click on the picture below to check out this weeks special offers.

Circle Thinlit Minion Birthday Card

Good morning and a very happy Thursday to you.

I am in the midst of packing all the essential bits and pieces needed for me exciting weekend away meeting up with Demonstrators from all over the country at our Regional Training event in Telford.

But before I go I wanted to share with you one of my crafty creations for Summer's 2nd Birthday last weekend. She is a HUGE fan of Despicable Me and the Minions. I did a quick image search for crafty makes of the Minions and saw a similar card made with the fantastic Circle Thinlits Die

I absolutely LOVED the idea of using the Thinlits Die to create a character flip card. Unfortunately the card that inspired this one did not link to a blog so I cannot give credit. But what a fantastic idea!

I cut the Thinlit die from Daffodil Delight cardstock and hand cut the blue dungarees from Pacific Point cardstock. For the eye I layered Basic Gray, Whisper White, Soft Suede and Basic Black punched with a variety of punched circles. The mouth was hand cut.

And here is the birthday cake I made for Summer (I did purchase the topper from Ebay!)

And the happy birthday girl herself:

Easter Bunny Punch Art Treats

Good morning all. And how was your weekend? What beautiful weather we had here on the Isle of WIght (and i hope wherever you are in the world too). We celebrated with our first barbecue of the year. I have been following the Slimming World diet and was amazed at how easy it was to eat at a barbecue within the plan. Lean meat and a big plate of salad. Perfect! And Summer enjoyed being outside too. She would much rather be in the sunshine than cooped up indoors.

So today's crafty Easter share is a punch art Easter Bunny using the Treat Cups. I had seen a few variations of this rabbit around the internet so set about creating my own happy little Easter treat bunny for a friend's little boy. I am packaging up his 1st birthday gifts today and wanted to include a little Easter-y treat for him too. I found these little Easter chocolate coins in Tesco and knew they would fit the Treat Cups perfectly ;0)

Here are all the components of the Easter Bunny:

For this Treat Bunny I used:

Embellishments: Treat Cups, googly eyes from my stash

After punching all the components of the Bunny I inked the edges of the main body with Blushing Bride ink and a sponge dauber (all parts but the 3/4" circle eyes). I then assembled the Bunny.

You can order any products through my online store by clicking here or by clicking any of the product links above. I will also happily order any products for you. Just drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249 and I'll happily assist.

Monster Hugs

Good morning all.

I've had a super busy crafty weekend prepping for next weekends card class and having a play with lots of lovely new preordered Spring Summer Catalogue goodies. While I was going through my order I came across these lovelies that I'd ordered from the A Whole Lot of Love Valentines Day promotion. If you click on the picture above it'll connect you through to the promotional items on my online store.

I just love these little Monster Hugs (they come in packs of 18 hugs for £5.50. You can either buy the boy hugs or the girl hugs). We were shown them at Convention and I just fell in love with them. Such a simple little Valentines gift for a loved one or for children to take to school with them. I found the little gold Lindt bear in my Christmas leftovers and thought they'd be a perfect hug filler for a little Valentines gift for Summer. The Monster bases have a length of sticky strip that you attach the chocolate to. Making creating these little cuties even easier (their hands then slot together to form the hug).

Here are a couple more shots of the Monster Hugs. I love their cute little drawn on bottoms and the big googly eyes (supplied in the kits along with the adhesive pink or blue hearts).

These Monster Hugs, along with all the other lovely Valentines products, are only available to order through to January 27th. So get your order in quick before they are all gone. You can either place an order direct through my online store (click here) or get in touch directly and I will be happy to help (poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249).

Thanks for stopping by today and pop back on Thursday for more Spring Summer sneak peaks.
