A Jar of Love Birthday Celebration from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty friends. How has your week been so far? Its been a busy one here. I am still putting the finishing touches to my Christmas class projects for Saturday's all day get together with some lovely ladies. It is my favourite class of the year.

Today's crafty share is a birthday card I created for one of my lovely card class ladies last month. I combined lots of my favourite products from the Annual Catalogue for this card including the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and Jar of Love Bundle.

I stamped the jar on to a piece of Vellum and then cut out with my matching Thinlits to give the see through glass effect. I then stamped the two step flowers from the Jar of Love stamp set and added them with Brights Sequins around the top of my birthday jar of flowers.

A Barnyard Babies 2nd Birthday Celebration Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Wednesday Crafters ;0)

I have a special 2nd Birthday card to share with you this morning. This was made for a friend's grandson who we celebrated with at the weekend. He lives on a farm and loves spending time with the animals. I created this card for him last year with the same stamp set and wanted to use the lovely farm animals again for his 2nd birthday.

I started with a Marina Mist cardbase which I layered with Wild Wasabi. I then used my Basic Black ink pad to stamp the farm animals all over my Whisper White layer.

For the feature layer I stamped the number 2 from the Number of Years stamp set. I then stamped it again on to the sticky bit of a post it note to create a mask. I then stamped the cow to make it appear like he is peeking out behind the number.

I hand coloured the cow and chick with my Stampin' Write Markers and then added the black outline to my number 2 to make it stand out more. The final detail I added was Clear Wink of Stella painted over the top of the 2 to give a bit of sparkle.

A Birthday Bouquet Ice Cream Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Well we are coming to the end of a lovely 4 day Easter Bank Holiday weekend. We've had the delights of Storm Kate as well as choccie galore here on the IOW. We soldiered on despite the weather and moved our egg hunt (and accompanying BBQ) indoors. The girls loved it all regardless.

And while I am sure you have all indulged in lots of sweet treats over the weekend I have one more sugary themed treat to share today. This ice cream card uses the exclusive Honeycomb Happiness Sale-A-Bration stamp set which is now only available with a £45+ purchase until Thursday. I cannot stress enough that if you really love any of the Sale-A-Bration exclusives this is the last few days to place your orders.

For this card I used Pool Party and Blushing Bride cardstocks mixed with the Birthday Bouquet papers (for the ice cream design) and the Love Blossoms DSP for the paper pieced ice cream stack.

To get the patterned ice cream effect you simply stamp your ice cream image on different patterned papers and fussy cut them out. You can then arrange your ice cream stack as you'd like on your card.

I finished by stamping my sentiment on to a Decorative Label and embellishing with Subtles Candy Dots.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. A Happy Birthday Punch Art Mouse Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a very Happy Tuesday to you. I am a bit later posting this week due to a crazy start to Monday. I was out super early walking yesterday getting in a bit of training for my Walk In Her Shoes challenge next week. Click on the link to find out more (or to sponsor me)- I'll be walking 10,000 steps every day for a week in solidarity with women and girls from the poorest countries around the world, who spend their days walking for water.  Yesterday I over did it a bit. I did 10 miles (and I forgot to wear my pedometer!). I am very achey today.

But back to crafting. Today I have a card I made with my Mum for her to give Sylvie for her birthday. I don't often sit down to play with my punches to create punch art. I really enjoyed creating this little mouse.

I used colours from the Subtles colour family for this card. I started with the stamped flowers in the background from the free Sale-A-Bration Botanicals For You stamp set. I used Wisteria Wonder, Blushing Bride and Pool Party for the stamping.

For the house I used a range of circle punches to create the ears and body.

I used the Word Window punch for the arms and legs. I added the banner punched using scraps of floral DSP. I used my Rotary Alphabet stamp to create the 'Happy' and the Birthday is taken from Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set. The mouse's face was created using elements from the Playful Pals Photopolymer Stamp Set.

A Pot of Flowering Fields Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty friends and a very Happy Leap Year Monday to you all. How was your weekend? Mine was super busy with my February Card Class and I got the baking bug. I spent yesterday making and baking all day and have a stock pile of Slimming World friendly snacks and cakes to prove it!

I have a card from my monthly card class to share with you this morning. I had seen this card over on my Demo friend Rose's blog and absolutely loved it so decided to give it a go myself. I loved the simplicity of the card.

I used an Old Olive card base which I mirrored in my colouring (I used my Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker for the leaves). I used my Curvy Corner Trio Punch for the fancy corners on my Whisper White layer.

I hand drew a template for the flower pot which I then used to trace enough pots for all my card class ladies. We cut the pot from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and sponge daubered with Cajun Craze to give the added dimension.

When it came to stamping the Flowering Fields flowers I marked the edges of my flower pot with pencil to give me a guide to position my flowers. I stamped my flowers in Memento Black ink and coloured with my Brights Stampin' Write Markers.

The sentiment is taken from Cottage Greetings and is stamped in Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point (I used my markers to colour the stamp directly).

Flowering Fields is one of the exclusive stamp sets only available through March 31st as part of Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration promotion. You can receive this stamp set for free with a purchase of £45+. I love crafty freebies with my purchases. Sale-A-Bration really is the best time of the crafting year.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. I would love to help. #Imbringingbirthdaysback You're So Lovely Birthday Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

A very Happy Monday to you all from Stampin' Sarah HQ. It has been a super busy day here hence the much later blogging than usual. I have been hard at work prepping for my Tin of Cards class on Saturday (what a lovely kit that is to work with! More on that later in the week though).

Today I have a lovely card I received to share with you. This is not one I crafted for myself. There is a lovely crafter in the US, Shannon West, who works at Stampin' Up! Head Office who has started the #Imbringingbirthdaysback movement. She posted earlier in the year that she thinks social media has ruined birthdays as no one sends birthday cards any more. So she asked if anyone would like a handmade card sent from the US to celebrate their birthday. At last look the post had over 1000 comments with people's birthdays listed ;0)

I posted that my birthday had been and gone by the time she started sending cards (I'm January 1st) but lo and behold I came home in the week to see this envelope sitting waiting for me. I was absolutely delighted! Shannon has written a lovely message inside and said I could still celebrate a few weeks late ;0) And I guess this is the whole point. Feeling such delight at receiving a handmade card is why we all craft and make and give to those we love. So I have made a long list of birthdays for the year and I going to make a concerted effort to get cards in the post to pay it forward.

I love the sentiment of what Shannon has started and as crafters I am sure we need no excuse to get creating. So crack open your Perpetual Birthday Calendar kit. Mark all those upcoming birthdays on it and get crafting..... And if you'd like a handmade card from me from the Isle Of Wight just drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk with your name, birthday and postal address. I am happy to post worldwide so just let me know when and where and there'll be something special winging its way to you.

And I also have an update on my KLT Charting Owl Stitch Along. We have a new Owl being released this Wednesday so I wanted to keep you up to date on my project's progress. I found in my Grandma's tin this lovely blue variegated thread. So that is how I dressed Owl No 2.

And I decided to be a bit cheeky and outline the next two to make life a little easier when the next two Owls are released. I can just get on and stitch without worrying about my outline first.

Thank you for popping by today. Pop back on Wednesday for more craftiness. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!).
