A Botanical Builders Birthday from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning lovely crafters.

What a weekend it has been. I took the girls to the Isle of Wight music festival. I think it was all a bit overwhelming for them but Summer soon warmed up to all the noise and enjoyed dancing and exploring. They both certainly slept well after two days of music and fun and mini pancakes. It really was a fantastic weekend. I love being able to walk 10 minutes down the road and be in the midst of such an incredible event. And it was all rounded off last night with Queen and Adam Lambert as the headliners. They knocked a lot of great performers off my ''best festie' list to take the number 2 spot in all time greatest act list (I don't think anyone will be able to take the number 1 spot from Pink!). We are having a quiet one today to recover. As I write this I have two girlies snuggled up on the sofa with me watching Mr Tumble.

I have a card to share today from last month's card class. This was inspired by a creation I'd seen out on the blogosphere but I cannot find the original card to credit the Demonstrator who created it. The original used masking to create the strip through the middle for the sentiment. For my class we simply stamped the Botanical Blooms in the background and then added a strip of Whisper White over the top for the sentiment.

To create our tropical background we used the various Botanical Blooms leaf stamps with Pear Pizzazz ink. Through a combination of direct stamping and stamping off and stamping we created the different shades and tones of green.

The sentiment from Cottage Greetings was stamped in Pear Pizzazz and the strip of Whisper White added over the top of the background stamping.

We then added the three flowers cut using the Botanical Builders Framelits. I have just realised the three colours we used for the flowers are retired In Colors. However, these flowers would look lovely in any colour combo. I think the new In Colors would add a perfect tropical twist to the colour scheme.

To finish I added Rhinestones to the centre of each flower.

I couldn't resist sharing a quick pic of my two at the festival over the weekend. And let me just share that those ice creams cost more than the same weight in gold I'm sure. Good job they enjoyed them ;0)

A Love Blossoms Mini Gift Box from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning lovelies.

Well what a week it has been. I have launched my new Jamberry Nail Wraps venture. I am super excited about a whole lot of prettiness headed my way in the post. I have been trialling the wraps and they are fab. They are long lasting and durable. They are easy to apply and to remove when you fancy a change. I am just in love with pretty nails without having to wait for them to dry. If you click on the link above you can find out more. Now back to normal crafty service.....

I have this lovely little Love Blossoms Gift Box to share today. I made the basic box using the Gift Box Punch Board and a 6" square piece of Love Blossoms DSP.

Once the basic box was put together I created a wrap around tag with a piece of Vellum and the Scallop Tag Topper Punch. I stamped my Decorative Label with the sentiment from Cottage Greetings in Rose Red. I added the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper flower and tied the vellum closed with a piece of embroidery thread.

This was a project we made in a pre-Easter class and we all added mini Lindt bunnies to our boxes as a little Easter gift. These would be perfect place settings or favours for a birthday dinner or special event.

A Pot of Flowering Fields Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty friends and a very Happy Leap Year Monday to you all. How was your weekend? Mine was super busy with my February Card Class and I got the baking bug. I spent yesterday making and baking all day and have a stock pile of Slimming World friendly snacks and cakes to prove it!

I have a card from my monthly card class to share with you this morning. I had seen this card over on my Demo friend Rose's blog and absolutely loved it so decided to give it a go myself. I loved the simplicity of the card.

I used an Old Olive card base which I mirrored in my colouring (I used my Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker for the leaves). I used my Curvy Corner Trio Punch for the fancy corners on my Whisper White layer.

I hand drew a template for the flower pot which I then used to trace enough pots for all my card class ladies. We cut the pot from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and sponge daubered with Cajun Craze to give the added dimension.

When it came to stamping the Flowering Fields flowers I marked the edges of my flower pot with pencil to give me a guide to position my flowers. I stamped my flowers in Memento Black ink and coloured with my Brights Stampin' Write Markers.

The sentiment is taken from Cottage Greetings and is stamped in Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point (I used my markers to colour the stamp directly).

Flowering Fields is one of the exclusive stamp sets only available through March 31st as part of Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration promotion. You can receive this stamp set for free with a purchase of £45+. I love crafty freebies with my purchases. Sale-A-Bration really is the best time of the crafting year.

A Flowering Fields Sale A Bration Birthday from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Friday crafters.

What does your weekend have in store? We are off to London for a weekend of adventure, good food and maybe a trip to the Kikki K shop in Covent Garden. I am super excited.

But in the mean time, I have a Saleabration Flowering Fields make to share with you today. I absolutely love this flower set and all its possibilities.  I combined the big flower stamp with the Happy Birthday from Cottage Greetings and Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper.

I love the clean and simple neatness of this card. It isn't overcomplicated or too fussy but still has the essential bit of sparkle I like to add to all my cards. I stamped the flowers in Rose Red and Old Olive and then added a little glimmer over the top with my Wink of Stella Clear Brush. It lightly lifted the colour of the Rose Red outline to give a pink sheen to my flower heads.

Saleabration is proving super popular this year. Flowering Fields has been one of the favourite stamp sets amongst my customers so far. All you have to do to get your hands on this stamp set for free is place an order of £45+ anytime before March 31st.

Thank you for popping by today. Pop back on Monday for more craftiness. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. Downline 5 Year Celebration Gift from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

A very big Happy 5 Year Stampin' Up!-versary to my good friend and longest downline member Sandy. She joined this fab company a few months after I did back in 2010 and she has become a great friend during that time.

To celebrate I wanted to hand make her a little gift and, of course, a card too.

I came up with this Soft Suede and Marina Mist combo card with a little extra sparkle with my Champagne Glimmer Paper 5.

I used the Awesomely Artistic ink splatter stamp for the background and added the beautiful handwriting style sentiment from Cottage Greetings.

Detail and layering was added with the Chevron Ribbon, bakers twine, a punched Elegant Butterfly and bitty flowers with rhinestones.

And here is the gift I made for her. I bought this wooden drawer set from The Works with a view to either inking or wood burning. When I came to decorate I decided to cover with papers and add embellishments from my stash. I thought this little set of drawers would be perfect for storing embellishments or little crafting bits and bobs.

A New Baby Girl Butterfly Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Weekly Deals Wednesday crafters. Hope you are having a productive week so far. We have a house full of colds here so not much but snuggling and keeping warm happening so far. But I have a lot of ideas awaiting translation to paper to share with you.

Today's project is a super special card I made for my friend who had a little girl last month. Natalie is a friend from Uni who I shared the ups and downs of singledom and longing for children with. We are both now in our 30s with two children a piece. I loved making this card to celebrate the arrival of little Laura-Mia.

My colour scheme for this card is So Saffron and Pink Pirouette.  I started by stamping the name and date with my rotary stamp in Pink Pirouette. I then punched the words centrally with my 2.5" Circle Punch. I used the Bitty Butterfly Punch to create my circle (I used the butterflies to cover the edges of my word circle raised with dimensionals).

To finish I added Subtles Candy Dots, a heart punched with my Bitty Accents Heart Punch and lots of basic pearls.

Inside I added butterflies stamped with the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Stamp Set and the sentiment is from Cottage Greetings (stamped in Rose Red).

A Garden in Bloom Birthday from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. I have a special birthday card to share today. I made this for one of my lovely crafting friends. In fact she was one of my very first class attendees. She was purchased a place at my card class as a birthday gift 5 years ago.

If you've been following my blog you will have seen the Garden In Bloom stamp set featured a fair few times. I just love the simplicity of the watercolour effect and the two step stamping. This card was inspired by this beautiful creation from Chris in the States.

I made a little mistake in my stamping and picked up my retired Pistachio Pudding stamp set instead of Mint Macaron as I had planned. But I still love the effect.

The Whisper White panel uses Memento Black ink with Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Old Olive and Mint Macaron (imagine I had used Mint Macaron to match the coloured cardstock layer).

I added the dashed line with my Black Stampin' Write marker and the birthday greeting is from Cottage Greetings.

Pop over to my online store to see this weeks fantastic new Weekly Deals.  I love the Metallic Sequins and might take this opportunity to have a bit of a stock up ;0)

An Awesomely Artistic layered Thank You Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Monday. What a beautiful weekend and what a lovely day ahead. I am loving this weather. We made the most of it by heading to the Isle of Wight County Show for a day out followed by a night camping in the motorhome. Not much time for crafting. But lots of fun all the same. Sam and I even snuck in enough time to see the new Jurassic Park which was corny but super fun.

Today I have another Awesomely Artistic inspired creation. I really cannot make enough with this stamp set. I love the layering potential and all the beautifully detailed images.

I used the fab Whisper White Note Cards as my card base and then layered Crumb Cake and Memento Tuxedo Black inked images. I added a piece of striped DSP from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack plus a think piece of Silver Glimmer Paper.

The 'thanks' sentiment is from the Cottage Greetings stamp set.

I added the final detail using punched flowers (punched with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack) and Basic Pearls.
