Downline 5 Year Celebration Gift from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

A very big Happy 5 Year Stampin' Up!-versary to my good friend and longest downline member Sandy. She joined this fab company a few months after I did back in 2010 and she has become a great friend during that time.

To celebrate I wanted to hand make her a little gift and, of course, a card too.

I came up with this Soft Suede and Marina Mist combo card with a little extra sparkle with my Champagne Glimmer Paper 5.

I used the Awesomely Artistic ink splatter stamp for the background and added the beautiful handwriting style sentiment from Cottage Greetings.

Detail and layering was added with the Chevron Ribbon, bakers twine, a punched Elegant Butterfly and bitty flowers with rhinestones.

And here is the gift I made for her. I bought this wooden drawer set from The Works with a view to either inking or wood burning. When I came to decorate I decided to cover with papers and add embellishments from my stash. I thought this little set of drawers would be perfect for storing embellishments or little crafting bits and bobs.

A Berry Merry Christmas from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. I am super excited that we are only 4 days from the launch of the new Stampin'  Up! Autumn Winter catalogue. So many ideas and lovely stamps and accessories contained within its pages.

I have another little sneak peek for you today. This card was inspired by one I saw on the live stream of the US Stampin' Up! convention. It uses a new stamp set called Berry Merry which contains two larger fancy sentiments and then lots of little elements (fir cones, bows, holly, berries, leaves and flowers) to embellish your design.

It is such a versatile and fun stamp to create with. This is another one of my 'love of stamping' sets. These are stamp sets that I love to make with purely for the enjoyment of stamping and having fun with the process.

,

I matched the Berry Merry stamp set with the matching Boughs and Berries Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (available together as a great value bundle costing £18.50).

To create this card I heat embossed the Joy with gold embossing powder then created elements with Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler inks. I layered Whisper White over Champagne Glimmer Paper and attached to a Cherry Cobbler card base.

Thank you for popping by today. I will be back next week with lots more festive fun to celebrate the launch of the new Autumn. Winter catalogue. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!)

Festival of Trees Christmas Card Fun from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning lovelies.

Here is the card I tried to share with you last week but somehow got lost in the publishing ether when I tried to schedule it.

This is a gorgeous card inspired by the very talented (and very lovely) Vicky over at Crafting Clare. I loved her clean and simple use of the Festival of Trees stamp set combined with the Typeset Speciality Papers and wanted to give it my own Stampin' Sarah spin.

I used Naturals Ivory card stock layered over a Very Vanilla cardbase. I used my acrylic block to stamp a rectangular background in Whisper White Craft Ink (I loved this naturals layering tone on tone).

For the tree I stamped the Festival of Trees image on to a scrap of Typeset DSP in Mossy Meadow Ink. I then hand cut as the paper is too thin and lovely to be used with the coordinating punch. I then glued to my card and embellished with Brights Candy Dots (I love how these look like bright twinkly tree lights). I then finished by stamping the tree pot in Daffodil Delight and the greeting in Real Red (which I coloured with my Stampin' Write marker so as to only use a section of the sentiment).

Thank you for popping by today. I'll have another festive creation for you tomorrow. If you have any questions about today's project or the products I have used, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. You can order online direct through my store by clicking the product links below. Wondrous Wreath Cardmaking Class Make from Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Wednesday crafters.

I am so in love with the Wondrous Wreath stamp set. I just love the layered stamping. I find it relaxing. And I love all the different effects you can get simply through layering different colours.

I've seen these floating style cards a lot in crafting magazines and online and thought the wreath would make a perfect centre piece to hold the layers together.

I started with a Garden Green card base and covered my two sections with strips of patterned paper from the Trim The Tree Designer Series Paper Stack.

I created the centre piece by stamping Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler to create the leaves, bow and berries. I then cut the wreath and bow with the Wonderful Wreath Framelits. I used the Framelits again with Champagne Glimmer Paper to cut the 'joy' which I then glued with Tombow on to my wreath.

Have you checked out this weeks Weekly Deals? Pop over to my online store to see all the great offers from Stampin' Up! for this week.

Thanks for stopping by today. If you have any questions about today's project or the products I have used, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. You can order online direct through my store by clicking the product links above or the pictures below. In Colour Flower Patch Fry Box Birthday Gift

When I unpacked my lovely new box of goodies from the catalogue I was super excited to try out the new French Fry Box Die. I had seen so many lovely projects on Pinterest using this die. I found the perfect occasion last weekend when I went out for a crafty friend's birthday. I had bought these two little sparkly glitter glues in Silver Sparkle and Cherry Cobbler and needed a little container to put them in. The Fry Box was the perfect fit.

I cut the Fry Box in Whisper White and then cut a lining panel from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack for the inside of the box. I then stamped the outside of the box using the FAB new photopolymer stamp set, Flower Patch, in Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss (colours taken directly from the DSP colour scheme). I finished the box with a length of Coastal Cabana Thick Bakers Twine tied around with a bow.

I created the little matching birthday tag using my Scallop Tag Topper Punch. I punched the matching flowers and then inked the edges of the tag in Blackberry Bliss with a Sponge Dauber.

I had so much fun creating this little Fry Box. It has made me want to order the matching Hamburger Box Die now too. I can see I'll be making a lot of these for friends and family for the upcoming festive season.

Yes I said it, Christmas is not too far away in crafting terms. I have been super busy prepping for my Christmas Craft Days. The first of which is only a fortnight away now. I have some lovely projects lined up for my crafting ladies. I cannot wait to share the projects with you very soon with some fab project tips and tutorials too.

Thank you for stopping by today and sharing in a little crafty creativity. If you'd like any further information about the project, please get in touch.

70th Birthday Perfect Peacock, Blendabilities and Gold Sequins from Stampin' Up!

Good morning crafty friends.

I hope your week is going well and you are enjoying the summer sunshine. The weather is beautiful on the Isle of Wight and Summer, Sylvie and I have been enjoying our summer strolls.

I have just about managed to fit in some crafting over the past few days getting ready for this weekends craft class at my home. I also sat down to create a very special 70th Birthday card for a crafty friend of mine who is celebrating her special birthday next week.

My favourite stamp from the new catalogue is the Perfect Peacock. I fell in love with this stamp the first time I opened the catalogue. I knew it would make a beautiful feature for this card. I have stamped the image using Memento Black ink on to a 14cm square of Whisper White. I then coloured with my Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities Markers. I embellished the feathers with Gold Sequin Trim. For the sentiment I used Memorable Moments stamped in Island Indigo and Gold Encore Metallic Ink.

Card layers:

Coastal Cabana: 14.8cm x 29.6cm (scored at 14.8cm)
Island Indigo:        14.6cm x 14.6cm
Real Red:             14.4cm x 14.4cm
Whisper White:    14cm x 14cm

And to all those who may be wondering how the weigh in went yesterday, half a pound down *phew*. This week I am definitely back on plan to get me my 1 stone award next week. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I am going to resist the urge to treat myself to a Caramel Macchiato anytime soon.

A focus on the new Stampin' Up! In Colors

I demonstrated for some lovely friends last week in celebration of the launch of the new catalogue. As I am still awaiting my big parcel of goodies from the new catalogue I had to design a project with the sneak peek products I had received during our Demonstrator preorder period. I decided what better way to launch the new catalogue than with a card which focuses on our beautiful new In Colors.

The new In Colors are:
  • Blackberry Bliss
  • Hello Honey
  • Lost Lagoon
  • Mossy Meadow
  • Tangelo Twist
I love the dusty tones of these colours and how beautifully they work together. I already envisioning beautiful festive cards made with Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon. If you click on the In Color peg picture above it will connect you through to the full range of new In Color products available online or by ordering direct with me.

The card we stamped together at Pat's party used the paint stroke swish stamp from the beautiful Work of Art stamp set. We stamped it in 4 of the In Color inks and then stamped the gorgeous swirly sentiment from the exclusive Hostess stamp set 'Hello There' in Blackberry Bliss ink. We then finished with flowers punched from the In Color cardstock pack using the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.

The In Colors are such a fantastic way to get started with Stampin' Up! And there is a special bundle of products priced at £27.95 for all 5 ink pads and a pack of In Color cardstock to match (Click here to find out more). There are also beautifully coordinated clothespins and Stitched Satin Ribbon in all 5 colours to help you coordinate your projects.

If you'd like to read through a PDF of the catalogue, click on the photo below. Alternatively I'd love to help you earn free product by Demonstrating for you and your friends and family (and popping a free catalogue in the post to you to get you started). Hostess Club May Gift: Scissors and Charm

Morning all, I thought I'd share a quick crafty make with you today. This was my hostess club gift included in with the May orders. I'd bought these scissors a while ago and tucked away with a view to giving them as gifts down the line.

I wanted to fancy them up a bit so dug out some shrink plastic to create a scissor charm to tie to the handle. I cut 2" strips of shrink plastic and created tags using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch which I then stamped with Stazon using the Flower Shop stamp set. I used my Heat Tool to shrink the plastic down to these fab little mini tags. I finished with a mobile phone clip and wooden bead and tied to the scissors with Gold Bakers Twine.

I'm really pleased with the result and hope my ladies like them too.

Hopeful Thoughts meets Melon Mambo Heat Embossing

Hooray for the weekend!! It is Friday and it'll hopefully be a lovely BBQ and sunshine filled weekend (but I won't hold my breath just in case!).

Today's crafty share is another of my May Card Class projects (if you'd like to find out more about joining one of my classes please see my 'Classes and Events' tab above). I'd seen another card with Melon Mambo (sadly now sold out off the Retiring List but there are other colours still available as well as beautiful new colours soon to be available in the new catalogue) embossing powder against black and I was amazed at the lovely (and bold) effect of it.

I've embossed on black before with poorer quality powders and never had such a defined and bright result. Stampin' Up! embossing powders really are some of the best I have worked with. I used the Hopeful Thoughts stamp set to create the branch background and then created the Butterfly with Papillon Potpourri (I stamped the image on to vellum, embossed and then punched with the Elegant Butterfly Punch). The greeting was stamped using the Label Love stamp set and punched with the Artisan Label Punch.

Button Bird Birthday Card with Stampin' Up! Designer Buttons

Good morning and a Happy Tuesday to you.

As you can see I am continuing my button crafting theme. This card was inspired by this card I found on Pinterest. I loved the whimsical little birds and knew they would work perfectly with the gorgeous Stampin' Up! Brights Designer Buttons. These are the best quality buttons I've ever used in papercrafting (well worth the money!) and I love that they perfectly match the Stampin' Up! inks and cardstock.

To create this card I simply punched 3 different sizes circles from a Daffodil Delight layer and then positioned my buttons. Using my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker I then drew in the whimsical details of the little birds.

Be sure to check out the newly updated Clearance Rack by clicking the picture below. There are lots of newly added (and hugely reduced!) products at fantastic prices. But they are selling out fast so be sure to get your order in sooner rather than later.
