A Very Happy Christmas (and a Flowering Fields Sneak Peek) from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a very Happy Boxing Day to you all.

I hope you had a lovely Christmas Day yesterday and that your stockings were stuffed with lots of lovely crafty goodies. I received a beautiful set of 4 cross stitch tree kits. Each tree represents Winter, Spring, Summer or Spring. I cannot wait to get started with them. I am just finishing off a pre-Christmas project then I will sit down and get started with my lovely new kits.

I am currently having some technical issues with my computer (one of my littlies sat on my laptop and has broken the screen). I can only use half of the screen so blogging and editing my pictures is proving a little challenging. It is my birthday on Friday so I might ask the birthday fairies if they can help with my technology situation. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I thought as it is Boxing Day and Christmas has passed I would give you a little sneak peek of Sale-A-Bration and what will be coming to Stampin' Up! in the New Year (Sale-A-Bration launches on January 5th along with the gorgeous new Spring Summer catalogue).

This is a card I made for a friends birthday earlier in the month using one of the FAB freebie stamp sets called Flowering Fields.

To create this card I used a Whisper White note card base and used my Memento Black ink to stamp the component parts (each flower stem is a separate stamp with the added butterfly details too). I then coloured with my ink pads and blender pens.

For those eagle eyed amongst you you'll also notice the new gorgeous floral embellishment. You'll find these gorgeous Botanical Garden Jewels in the new Spring Summer catalogue (if you'd like your own copy to peruse drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk and I'll get one in the post to you).

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to read my blog throughout 2015. I've been blogging now for nearly 6 years. I cannot believe how much I have learned and how many friends I have made through Stampin' Up! and crafting. There are lots of exciting things coming up in 2016 and I look forward to sharing crafting and creativity with you. Thank you again for supporting Stampin' Sarah! and I'd like to wish you a very Happy New Year.

I'll be back in the week with a few more sneak peeks for you. But don't forget if there was anything you loved in the Autumn Winter Catalogue you've only got until January 4th to place your order before the products retire for good.

Downline 5 Year Celebration Gift from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

A very big Happy 5 Year Stampin' Up!-versary to my good friend and longest downline member Sandy. She joined this fab company a few months after I did back in 2010 and she has become a great friend during that time.

To celebrate I wanted to hand make her a little gift and, of course, a card too.

I came up with this Soft Suede and Marina Mist combo card with a little extra sparkle with my Champagne Glimmer Paper 5.

I used the Awesomely Artistic ink splatter stamp for the background and added the beautiful handwriting style sentiment from Cottage Greetings.

Detail and layering was added with the Chevron Ribbon, bakers twine, a punched Elegant Butterfly and bitty flowers with rhinestones.

And here is the gift I made for her. I bought this wooden drawer set from The Works with a view to either inking or wood burning. When I came to decorate I decided to cover with papers and add embellishments from my stash. I thought this little set of drawers would be perfect for storing embellishments or little crafting bits and bobs.

Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty friends.

Happy new crafty weekend. I hope you all had a lovely crafty weekend. I managed to get some more quilting done (well I sat and cut 36 perfect rectangles ready for the next step in the sewing process).  Saturday was also my monthly card class with my lovely ladies. We had a full house this month and my ladies still managed to be packed up and finished half an hour early. More challenging cards on the list for next month....

Here is one of this month's makes. I'd seen a similar card over on Amy K's blog and decided to give it a go. I absolutely love the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum which Stampin' Up! have added as part of the bonus Sale-A-Bration product offering. I love the printed designs and they are perfect for coloring and layering on to cards.

For this card I managed to use two of the 15.2cm square butterfly design pieces and create 8 cards from them. I cut 3.8 cm strips from the designer vellum and coloured on the reverse using Pear Pizzazz, Lost Lagoon and Pool Party Stampin' Write Markers. I then mounted on to a Whisper White piece of card cut to the same size.

For the stamping we used the butterfly image from Papillon Potpourri and stamped in Lost Lagoon on to the Pool Party card layer. We then stamped the greeting from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Island Indigo to overlap the butterfly image. To finish we used a short length of Linen Thread and a Regal Designer Button.

With only 1 week left of Sale-A-Bration it is the perfect time to place your order for all the lovely products in the Spring Summer catalogue. You will get 1 Sale-A-Bration free product for each £45 you spend. So with the purchase of the stamp sets used in this card plus the In Color Markers you could receive the Sheer Perfection Vellum for free! Who doesn't love a good freebie?

Here is more info on the 4 exclusive products added to Sale-A-Bration for March only.

Thank you for popping by today. You can find out more about the new Spring Summer Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration promotion by clicking here or by using the navigation menu on the left. This really is the most exciting time of the year to shop. New products and fantastic freebie rewards too.

There are just 3 more days to take advantage of Stampin' Up!'s fabulous Starter Kit offer. Until May 30th if you sign up to join Stampin' Up! as a Demonstrator you will receive an extra £25 in your Starter Kit. That is £155 of product for the bargain price of £99.

If you'd like to find out more info about joining Stampin' Up! you can see the
'Join My Team' tab at the top of the page.

I'd love to welcome you to my team and welcome you along to our monthly team training sessions. We all prepare a shoebox swap style make and take project and have a catch up over Haribo and a cuppa.

Here are two more of the beautiful projects we completed at this months get together.

This first card was demonstrated by the lovely Hayley. This uses the scoreboard to create the raised diamonds and then a dauber/sponge and Elegant Eggplant ink to create the suede effect (tone on tone inking over the whole surface of the card). I love the ruffled Organza ribbon too.

This second card was demonstrated by Lorraine. I love The Open Sea stamp set. It makes such great masculine style cards. I love these colours together- Pool Party, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip. Daubering has to be one of my all time favourite techniques. I love the ageing effect it has to create antique style images.
Thanks for popping by today and please get in touch with any crafty queries: poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249.

Shoebox Swapping with my Team

To celebrate the final day of Sale-A-Bration I am sharing the lovely projects we made at my team shoebox swap on Monday.

What a lovely variety of projects and techniques. I love seeing what my lovely team come up with as we all have such different styles and colour favourites.

Lorraine made the fab punch art Easter bunny topper which came with a lovely chocolatey treat too (that didn't make it to the picture I am afraid!). I love this idea. You seal the bunny over the top of a cello bag filled with Easter-y treats.

Charlotte designed the Rich Razzleberry card with a stamp set I am ashamed to admit, I had never even seen in the catalogue before this card, Lacy & Lovely (page 99). She paired the stamp with beautiful matching designer series paper. This is the beauty of crafting with my team ladies, we all own different stamps and come at Stampin' Up! with different crafty styles and interests.

The final card isn't too clear in the picture above so I have shown separately below. This was designed by Hayley using the stunning Swallowtail stamp in the Spring Summer catalogue.
I love this technique and absolutely adore this stamp now. I had overlooked it as being too big in the catalogue. But now, having used it, I have placed an order to get my hands on it myself. It is so detailed and intricate. Such a lovely card and such a stunning stamp too ;0)
As I mentioned previously, today is the final day of Sale-A-Bration. So place your orders with me before 5pm to take advantage of the fabulous Stampin' Up! freebies and to be entered in to the 'Win a Big Shot' competition.

Thank you for stopping by today and thank you to all for a fabulous Sale-A-Bration ;0)
