A Berry Merry Christmas from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. I am super excited that we are only 4 days from the launch of the new Stampin'  Up! Autumn Winter catalogue. So many ideas and lovely stamps and accessories contained within its pages.

I have another little sneak peek for you today. This card was inspired by one I saw on the live stream of the US Stampin' Up! convention. It uses a new stamp set called Berry Merry which contains two larger fancy sentiments and then lots of little elements (fir cones, bows, holly, berries, leaves and flowers) to embellish your design.

It is such a versatile and fun stamp to create with. This is another one of my 'love of stamping' sets. These are stamp sets that I love to make with purely for the enjoyment of stamping and having fun with the process.

,

I matched the Berry Merry stamp set with the matching Boughs and Berries Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (available together as a great value bundle costing £18.50).

To create this card I heat embossed the Joy with gold embossing powder then created elements with Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler inks. I layered Whisper White over Champagne Glimmer Paper and attached to a Cherry Cobbler card base.

Thank you for popping by today. I will be back next week with lots more festive fun to celebrate the launch of the new Autumn. Winter catalogue. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!)

Isle of Wight Christmas Craft Day: Stampin' Up! Catalogue CASE Star Framelit Card

Good morning crafters and welcome to Wednesday.

Busy busy busy here. Seem to have a lot of crafty mojo floating around the Isle of Wight at the moment. I have been creating decorations for Sylvie's upcoming Christening using up lots of odds and ends of gorgeous Stampin' Up! ribbons (I'll share photos soon). I've also started working on Summer's handstitched Christmas stocking again (I actually took it in to hospital when I was pregnant with Summer! It has been nearly 3 years in the stitching). And today I am off for a big baking session with my Mum to freeze some bits ready for the Christening party.

But back to paper craftiness. Here is a Stampin' Up! Star Framelit card we created at my Christmas Craft Days.

I CASED this card design from the Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue (Page 135). I loved this stand out 3D star and the glitziness of the added Glimmer Paper.

Here is the card in the catalogue:

My version of the card uses an Early Espresso cardbase created using two of the largest Star Framelits and taped together at the top. I then cut a Brushed Gold Star with a smaller star cut from the centre (I used the Magnetic Platform. I scored each point and folded the star to stand up. By placing a Dimensional in each point it helps the star to stay 3D. I layered the Brushed Gold star over a smaller star cut from Champagne Glimmer Paper.

I cut the Banner using the Bitty Banners Framelits Die and stamped using the More Merry Messages stamp set in Gold Encore Ink.

I love the dimension of this card and such a simple design to use as a decoration, gift tag or greeting card. And by simply changing the colour scheme it can be used for any occasion.

Just a reminder, all carryover items from last years Autumn Winter catalogue are only available to order until August 27th. Click on this link to see the stamps, punches and accessories only available for one more week.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this project. You can get in touch via email: poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. I'm more than happy to help. Hopeful Thoughts meets Melon Mambo Heat Embossing

Hooray for the weekend!! It is Friday and it'll hopefully be a lovely BBQ and sunshine filled weekend (but I won't hold my breath just in case!).

Today's crafty share is another of my May Card Class projects (if you'd like to find out more about joining one of my classes please see my 'Classes and Events' tab above). I'd seen another card with Melon Mambo (sadly now sold out off the Retiring List but there are other colours still available as well as beautiful new colours soon to be available in the new catalogue) embossing powder against black and I was amazed at the lovely (and bold) effect of it.

I've embossed on black before with poorer quality powders and never had such a defined and bright result. Stampin' Up! embossing powders really are some of the best I have worked with. I used the Hopeful Thoughts stamp set to create the branch background and then created the Butterfly with Papillon Potpourri (I stamped the image on to vellum, embossed and then punched with the Elegant Butterfly Punch). The greeting was stamped using the Label Love stamp set and punched with the Artisan Label Punch.

Don't forget the current promotions at the moment using the links below:

You can order all Stampin' Up! products through my online store by clicking here or by clicking on any of the product links above. I will also happily order any products for you. Just drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249 and I'll happily assist.

A little bit of festive sparkle

My share for today is this pop up card using a whole host of lovely Stampin' Up! products. It was inspired by a beautiful card I found on Pinterest created by a US Demo.

The card base is cut from Shimmery White cardstock which gives a lovely subtle sparkly effect to the snowflake themed card. I think this cardstock can often be overlooked in the catalogue but I love the subtle sparkliness (Page 156 of the main Catalogue). I used my Card Base Pop 'n Cuts die with the Label Pop 'n Cuts insert to create the overall card shape.

The inspiration for the colours of the snowflakes (stamped and die cut using the Festive Flurry Framelits and stamp set available as a bundle in the Autumn Winter catalogue) is the beautiful Winter Frost Speciality Designer Series Paper. I cannot wait to share more projects created with this fantastic speciality paper as it features two beautiful foil accented sheets. These tones of blue, teal and turquoise are going to feature a lot in my Christmas crafting this year (or in Stampin' Up! speak thats Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Island Indigo, Pool Party, Smoky Slate and Whisper White).

The sparkly accents were added using the lovely Silver Glimmer Paper and punched with the Scallop Edge Punch. And the final detail was added using a Bright Candy Dot and Brad Base to secure the two snowflakes together for the top embellishment.

Thanks for stopping by today. I will have more to share from our crafty days tomorrow. Please get in touch with any questions about the products or techniques used. I'm only too happy to help: poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249.
