A Christmas Magic Diamond Fold Christmas Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. How was your weekend? Mine was spent dealing with a series of moving related mini crisis (including a blocked drain and a smoking washing machine!). But I did buy my very first car. At the grand age of 35 I am now officially on the road with my bright yellow Hyundai, happily named the Sunny Sunflower by Summer.

The card I have to share today was one of the projects for my October card class. I do love a good fancy fold card and I'd seen a few of these on Pinterest and thought they'd make a perfect Christmas card as the shape of the card itself looks a bit like a Christmas cracker.

For the Cherry Cobbler card base I used the fab Splitcoast Stampers tutorial. I then added my Garden Green panels and stamped my images on to the Whisper White layers.

The pictures don't quite capture the sparkle of the card which I added with my Wink of Stella brushes. I stamped in Memento Black and coloured with my Stampin' Write Markers.

And the beauty of this Fancy Fold is that it folds down in to a compact 4" square envelope.

Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! and their products. I would be happy to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love an opportunity to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party.  As the hostess you earns exclusive free products and all guests get to create a fun crafty project to take home too! A little Christmas Magic from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Wednesday Crafters.

Look what I have to share with you today- a little sneak peek of the Autumn Winter catalogue and a stamp set called Christmas Magic.

This card is inspired by one of the creative makes in the catalogue itself. I adored the simplicity of the layers and the focus on the beautiful stamped images. So I gave the sample card a Stampin' Sarah makeover.

I started my card with the background which I created by inking my acrylic block with Soft Sky ink and spraying with a water spritz. I pressed the whole block to my Whisper White card base to get the imperfect rectangle background. I then used my Wink of Stella Clear brush to add a little sparkle to my background.

I stamped the snowman and pole in Memento Black ink and coloured with my Stampin' Write markers. I cut around the images and adhered with Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment on to my Real Red banner and added Rhinestones for extra sparkle.

And as promised another quick cross stitch update. These two projects are designs from The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery. I love their quirky kawaii designs. The adventure one is a monthly stitch along where a new clue/country is released on the 1st of every month. I love stitching along with fellow fanatics around the globe.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. An Autumn Winter Jolly Friends Sneak Peek from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. How was your weekend? It was a beautifully sunny few days on the Isle of Wight which was perfect for our RSPCA Gala Day on Sunday. What a lovely day it was enjoyed by all. My girls love visiting and seeing the variety of dogs entering the dog show as well as seeing all the resident and visiting cats and rabbits. The day raised over £5000 for the Centre which was a fantastic day and well reflective of all the effort put in by the staff and volunteers.

For all those eager Christmas crafters awaiting the 1st September I have a fun little sneak peek for you today. This is a card I CASED from the new Autumn Winter catalogue featuring a fab little set called Jolly Friends. I adore moose and knew I had to have a go at this card as soon as I saw it in the catalogue.

Now for those eagle eyed Stampin' Up! fans you might see another couple of sneak peeks used for this card- the fab new Jolly Hat Builder Punch and Mini Jingle Bells. A Very Cozy Christmas from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Hello Crafters. Well I made it. I've managed to post today even if I'm 12 hours later than normal. It was more a case of finding the time to photograph my projects than anything.

Today's projects are inspired by an earlier card I made for a Christmas Crafty Party with some friends. I had designed a project using Berry Merry and had 4 of my blank kits left over. I found them amid the mess on my craft desk and decided to make 4 different cards using the same card base and style.

In honor of my upcoming Cozy Christmas class on November 7th (£26 to include project kits, the Cozy Christmas stamp set and half a pack of the Home for Christmas Designer Series Papers- booking closes on October 24th) I decided to use the stamp set to make my differing cards.

I adore this 'Magic of the Season' stamp. I used my Stampin' Write markers in Old Olive, Real Red and Night of Navy to colour my stamp and give this multicolored effect.

I had a bit of a disaster with my magic sparkles. I created the Christmas magic with different coloured glitter (including the lovely Dazzling Details). It was all in lovely little sparkly dots. And then I turned the card over to glue my layers forgetting the wet glitter. I tried my best with a piercing tool to reshape my glittery dots but they all blended in to one. Oh well, these things happen. It still looks a little magical.

I finished with a strip of glitter ribbon and Home for Christmas Designer Buttons.

The second of my creations was created again with my Stampin' Write markers coloured directly on to my stamps.

I added a little extra sparkle to my card with Vanilla Smooch Spritz over my Real Red base. It gives the card a lovely warm festive sparkle.

Thank you for popping by today. I hope you'll join me for the rest of my Cozy Christmas crafting projects that I'll be sharing at the end of the week. I'll have a new project for you on Wednesday which uses some of our lovely festive washi tape. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. A Reason for the Season Merry Christmas Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

I just cannot stop Christmas crafting. I have a few non-festive makes to share with you but when it comes to choosing projects to share here I am definitely favouring all my lovely festive crafty projects.

This is the make and take I came up with for my Autumn Winter Open House event to celebrate all things Stampin' Up! and the upcoming festive season.

This card uses one of Stampin' Up!'s ready scored and cut Crumb Cake notelets. So they are super easy to mass produce and send for handmade Christmas greetings.

I used the Reason for the Season stamp set which comes in photopolymer to make lining up each layer so much easier. I chose to use only the coloured inside of the poinsettia to give more of a watercoloured softer feel to my card.

I stamped the flowers in Cherry Cobbler and the leaves in Garden Green.

I created a 1.5" banner using the Triple Banner Punch and then stamped the sentiment using Gold Encore ink.

It is Wednesday which can mean only one thing- new weekly deals. Click on the image below to check out what is on offer this week.

A White Christmas Star Album Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Friday! Do you have anything exciting (and crafty) lined up for your weekend? I have my Autumn Winter catalogue Open House tomorrow between 10.30am and 2.30pm. If you would are on the Isle of Wight and would like to find out more about Stampin' Up! and have a go at a lovely festive make and take, please pop along. I'd love to see you.

Today I have another of my Christmas Craft Day makes to share with you. We all created one of these star album/cards. To create my sample I used this tutorial I found via Pinterest. The tutorial shows how to make a star shaped mini album. However, by adapting the tutorial and by cutting a rectangular window in the smallest layer, I was able to create a multi-scene card instead.

This project would have to be for extra special recipients though as it is fairly cardstock/DSP heavy. To create the whole star I needed 6 sheets of A4 coloured cardstock (I used Whisper White and Garden Green) and 2 complete sheets of Designer Series Paper (I used Merry Moments).

Within each section of the star I created a little Christmasy scene. I used the White Christmas stamp set for ease. I stamped each piece of Whisper White with the trees and then used different elements for each window scene.

I used my ink pads and blender pens to colour each scene. I love the subtle, almost watercoloured, effect of colouring with the blenders. It isn't as bold as colouring directly with markers. I embellished various scenes with glitter and/or sequins depending on the picture I was creating.

Each star section frame was embellished with Metallics Sequins and other stickers from my retired Stampin' Up! stash.

The whole project folds flat and can be decorated as a traditional card. The reindeer clip is to hold the star open when fully folded for decorative purposes. I love that is a special card or gift that can also become a festive decoration too.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. A Berry Merry Christmas from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. I am super excited that we are only 4 days from the launch of the new Stampin'  Up! Autumn Winter catalogue. So many ideas and lovely stamps and accessories contained within its pages.

I have another little sneak peek for you today. This card was inspired by one I saw on the live stream of the US Stampin' Up! convention. It uses a new stamp set called Berry Merry which contains two larger fancy sentiments and then lots of little elements (fir cones, bows, holly, berries, leaves and flowers) to embellish your design.

It is such a versatile and fun stamp to create with. This is another one of my 'love of stamping' sets. These are stamp sets that I love to make with purely for the enjoyment of stamping and having fun with the process.

,

I matched the Berry Merry stamp set with the matching Boughs and Berries Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (available together as a great value bundle costing £18.50).

To create this card I heat embossed the Joy with gold embossing powder then created elements with Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler inks. I layered Whisper White over Champagne Glimmer Paper and attached to a Cherry Cobbler card base.

Thank you for popping by today. I will be back next week with lots more festive fun to celebrate the launch of the new Autumn. Winter catalogue. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. Merry Moments Christmas Lantern Lights from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and Merry Christmas! It is Christmas Crafting Week here at Stampin' Sarah. To celebrate my Christmas Craft Days this weekend and the upcoming Autumn Winter catalogue (available to order from on September 1st) I have decided to share a week of Christmas themed projects. And there will also be a few new catalogue sneak peeks along the way too.

My first share is this Merry Moments Paper Lantern string of Christmas lights. I purchased a bulk lot of blank LED light strings from Ebay (see here) for all the attendees of my Christmas Days. I then cut stacks of Merry Moments Designer Series Paper in 6" squares.

This is a bit of a mind bender to begin with. I had a few attempts at making these lanterns before I got the knack. But once you get the idea they are super simple. It has been a while since I have attempted origami. But I loved the effect once they were completed.

Here are the instructions I used. I found them on Pinterest via an origami website. However, I wasnt able to find the original source for credit. Just an extra tip. I found it easier to fold across the diagonals before starting. This just made step 4 a little easier to fold.

***the original instructions I followed seem to be having some problems with my blog post. I found these alternative instructions on a lovely wedding website. Click below for the link***

I made 10 of these lanterns and then simply popped them over the LED lights. Here are the lanterns lit up (I took this last night once it had gotten a bit darker at home). I love how the lights make the lanterns glow and show off the lovely Christmasy paper designs.

The tree is made from an old pallet. This was another Pinterest inspired design made by my Dad. Mum lent me the tree for display purposes. This usually stands in front of Mum and Dads fireplace.

Thank you for popping by today. I hope you'll join me for the rest of my Christmas crafting projects that I'll be sharing throughout the week. I'll have a new project for you on Wednesday. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!)

A Barnyard Babies 1st Birthday Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters.

How is your week going so far? I hope you enjoyed the lovely weather over the weekend? I had my fab ladies over on Saturday for my July card class. We had lots of fun creating and chatting.

I had a special 1st birthday party to go to on Saturday evening. My friends grandson lives on a farm and he was having a big party to celebrate his birthday. So I wanted to make a special card and knew the Barnyard Babies stamp set would be perfect.

This is what I came up with:

I used a cardbase measuring 10cm x 29.7cm. I scored the long side at 9.9cm and 19.8cm. This gives you the three panels to stamp and means the card will stand up on its own.

I then simply stamped all the animals and coloured with my Blender Pens and ink pads. I used the little banner from the White Christmas and coloured with my Island Indigo Stampin' Write marker (meaning I was able to not colour the Happy Christmas greeting). I actually stamped the banner first so I was then able to place the goat and sheep correctly with my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.

Just a quick reminder. My Christmas Craft Days are coming up in August. I have three spaces available for my Monday August 17th class. The class takes place from 10am-4pm at my home in Newport and is a fun filled day of crafting, cardmaking, fun 3d projects and basically everything you need to kickstart your Christmas Crafting mojo for 2015. Class cost for all materials and fun prizes is £25. Drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk if you'd like to book your spot.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door.
