Petite Cafe Gift Bag Hostess Gift for March from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a very Happy Easter Monday to you all.

I hope your day is as sunny and bright as it is here on the Isle of Wight. Has your long weekend been fun? Ours has been jam packed with family, food, Easter Egg Hunts and chocolate (but not much crafting!).

I have a project to share with you today that I created with the gorgeous Stampin' Up! Petite Cafe Gift Bags and the Work of Art stamp set.

I had bought a whole series of Artisan Embellishment Kits for my virtual Hostess club ladies to go with their March orders. I needed to create something lovely to put the gift in. This is what I came up with.

I used the 2014-2015 In Colors as my inspiration. The stamping on the tag (punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch) is done with Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss. I then added Rich Razzleberry Ribbon and an In Color Clothespin to finish.

I love the Work of Art stamp set. It has so much potential and so many different uses. It works really well with the stamping off technique which I used above. To get the layers of colour I initially stamped the paintbrush effect stamps off on a scrap piece of paper. I then stamped over in fully inked chevrons and sentiment. This gives different tones from one ink pad.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (or click on the links below to find out more about specific products) or get in touch directly and I  can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door.

Easter Bunny Chocolate Treat Box from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a happy (if not a little chilly) Wednesday to you today.

So Wednesday brings new Weekly Deals. And what a fantastic week of specials we have this week. My favourite crafty tool, the Envelope Punch Board, is a bargain this week at just £13.46 and the Regals Paper Stack is £14.63. Combine these with some cardstock and you'll have reached your £45 spend for an extra Sale-A-Bration freebie. This is why I LOVE Stampin' Up! Not only are the products high quality and great value but you earn freebies for using and buying the products.

So on to today's crafty share. This is a project inspired by my upline Michelle who provides a great tutorial on her blog. I loved the simplicity of using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch to create the little bunny face.

I used scraps of patterned papers to punch the nose and the middle of the ears. I stamped the daffodil in Daffodil Delight using my Petite Petals stamp set and punched with the coordinating punch. This is a lovely sized little box for filling with Easter chocolate-y treats.

Thank you for popping by today. You can find out more about the new Spring Summer Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration promotion by clicking here or by using the navigation menu on the left. This really is the most exciting time of the year to shop. New products and fantastic freebie rewards too.

Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (or click on the links above to find out more about specific products) or get in touch directly and I  can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door.

A quick Candy Cane December Wonder Tag Swap from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning from a sunny and crisp Isle of Wight. How was your crafty weekend?

We've returned from a lovely festive weekend away enjoying the Christmas festivities (such as the gorgeous Winchester Christmas Market) and meeting with old and new friends. And of course, the Sale-A-Bration sneak peek event on Thursday. I had a fab time chatting to fellow Demonstrators and looking at the inspiring projects on display. And I was lucky enough to win a prize patrol (a lovely Sale-A-Bration stamp set which you can exclusively add to your orders for free in January, February and March). Add to that the excitement of the Demonstrator pre-order sneak peek of the new Spring Summer catalogue and you have a perfectly crafty and super exciting Stampin' Up! weekend.

Today I wanted to share with you the swaps I made to share with my fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. Swapping is one of the best parts of Stampin' Up! events. I love the inspiration that can be gained from swapping as you see products used in new and exciting ways. I wanted to create something fun and festive so came up with these candy cane tags.

I used my Scallop Tag Topper Punch to create the basic tag (2" wide x length of your candy cane) from Crumb Cake cardstock. I then cut two slots (2cm between the two slits) to slip the Candy Cane through. To embellish I stamped the 'Hello December' from the December Wonder stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink. I stamped the tree from the same set and doodled stitching with my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write marker around the edge.

To finish I tied the Candy Cane to the tag with 1/8" Real Red Taffeta Ribbon. Oh and I added a Champagne Glimmer Paper star to the top of the tree (any sparkly star embellishment or coloured glitter glue would look fab).

And now to share a few of my favourite swaps I received in return (apologies to my fellow Demonstrators as I don't have the swaps with me as I type so cannot give credit. Credit to follow).

I loved this neat little Merry Christmas wall hanging. Complete with curled wire to hang it up with:

I love the colours of this Wondrous Wreath swap:

And I was a bit conflicted by the Visions of Santa stamp set when I first saw it and it is not one I own. But I absolutely loved receiving this swap using the set.

Thanks for stopping by today and for sharing in my December crafty festivities.

A Trio of Birthday Celebration Makes

Good morning and welcome to a new crafty week. What a beautiful weekend we have had. The weather has been sunbathing warm (not that I have time for anything as luxurious as sunbathing with two littlies) and it still feels like the tail end of summer (despite what the shops may have us believe- they'd have you thinking Christmas was next week!)

This weekend we celebrated my sister's birthday with a fantastic lunch spread at my Mums house. It was such a lovely afternoon. And the celebrations continue today with a shopping trip over the water to Southampton. I am hoping to get a little sneaky Ikea trip in (although that place always manages to suck up 3 hours rather than the quick 20 minutes you expect).

My first crafty share this morning is the Birthday card I made for Natalie. After last weekend's Handmade Fair papercutting class I was inspired to give it a go at home. I bought a starter kit from Paper Panda and this was one of the designs in the kit. I hand cut the heart and then layered the design over Strawberry Slush cardstock and mounted on to a Bermuda Bay base.

I finished the design with some matching Strawberry Slush and Bermuda Bay hand drawn doodles around the outside of the white layer. I used my Stampin' Write markers for this.

I find papercutting quite relaxing. I love cutting out all the intricate details. This is only my second attempt so I am pretty happy with how it turned out. And I always love mixing my crafts with Stampin' Up! to show just how versatile our products are.

The next make I created was this little decorative gift tag to accompany this lovely little jar of gorgeous Waitrose jelly cat sweets (if you haven't tried these I thoroughly recommend them, especially the Eton Mess flavour!). I used an offcut of Under the Tree Speciality DSP and stamped the greeting from the Age Awareness stamp set (stamped in Pumpkin Pie and Bermuda Bay). I finished with Brights Candy Dots and a length of Island Indigo Cotton Ribbon.

My final birhday creation is this gift box made with my favourite tool of the moment, the Gift Box Punch Board. I needed a box to hold 4 tubes of my sister's favourite sweets, Love Hearts. This box is the 2.5"x 2.5" x 4" box. It wasn't quite tall enough so I domed the top of the closure and secured with a length of Blackberry Bliss Satin Stitched Ribbon. I created the tag with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and stamped with Island Indigo and Rich Razzleberry ink (using the Age Awareness stamp again). The body of the box uses the fantastic Under the Tree Speciality Papers (strong and lovely to stamp on).

Magic Christmas Slider Card using Stampin' Up!'s Joyful Christmas: IOW Christmas Craft Day

I was going through all my photos this morning deciding which new project to share with you today. I decided I had better share this fab Magic Slider Card as it uses the gorgeous Joyful Christmas stamp set which is only available to purchase until 10pm tonight. All items from the Autumn Winter 2013-2014 catalogue carryover list are only available till this evening and then are retired for good. This was my favourite stamp set for making Christmas cards last year and I could never part with this beautiful poinsettia.

This Magic Slider Card was one of the showstopper projects at my Christmas Craft Day earlier in the month.

We used a Cherry Cobbler cardstock base measuring 5" x 6-1/4" (scored along the long side at 3" and 6"). We punched a hole in the front using the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. We created a pocket inside using a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 3"x4" (you only glue down the sides to create a pocket over which you can layer your sliding element (the coloured tag goes behind and the Window Sheet tag goes in front).

I create two identical sized tags measuring 2"x 5-1/2" using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch. One tag was created using Whisper White and the other using part of a Window Sheet. I stamped the Whisper White cardstock with the Poinsettia image using my Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. I then positioned my Window Sheet tag over the top and secured with a post-it note. Using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig (perfect positioning tool!) I positioned the Poinsettia image exactly over the Whisper White stamped image and stamped on to the Window Sheet using Black Staz-On.

It is important to remember that the Staz-On dries on the Window Sheet and won't smudge and the Memento Ink is especially formulated for colouring with Blendabilities.

We coloured the Whisper White tag with my Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities to give the magic effect when the two tags are pulled up (the key is to make sure the coloured tag sits behind the Whisper White pocket and the Window Sheet in front). The two tags were secured together with a length of Gold Satin Ribbon.

We decorated the outside sleeve with a Cherry Cobbler stamped Poinsettia and the Joyful Christmas Wishes stamped with Encore Gold ink. We coloured three large Basic Rhinestones with a Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities Marker for the final embellishment.

Don't forget, all orders from the Autumn Winter Catalogue 2013-2014 Carryover List must be completed today as tomorrow we welcome a whole new season of exciting new festive products.

Today also sees 7 new Weekly Deals launched over on my online store. Don't miss these great discounted products. Now is a perfect time to stock up on Gold Foil Sheets ready for all things Christmas-y.
