A big Sale-A-Bration Send Off from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters.

I was going through my projects to post here last night and realised I had several pictures of Sale-A-Bration projects to share with you.

So today in celebration of the last day of Sale-A-Bration 2015 I thought I would share the last of my projects using all of my favourite SAB freebies.

And don't forget there is still time to earn your own Sale-A-Bration freebie by placing an order today for £45+ in product. You can order any Stampin' Up! products via my online store by clicking here.

The first of my projects is this Thank You note I created for a recent customer order using the fantastic Lotus Blossom freebie stamp set.

I stamped the Lotus Blossom in Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss. I used a strip of Painted Blooms Designer Series paper. I then created the Thank You by punching a Whisper White Note Tag and stamped the greeting in Blackberry Bliss. I embellished with three Brights Candy Dots.

I had a Stampin' Up! party at the weekend with some lovely ladies. We celebrated the end of Sale-A-Bration (and the special extra Sale-A-Bration products available in March only) with these two cards created using the gorgeous Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum.

We coloured the reverse of the Designer Vellum and mounted on to one of Stampin' Up!'s precut and scored Note Cards. The butterfly is stamped in Blushing Bride and the greeting in Rose Red. The stamps are both from the Butterfly Basics stamp set.

If you'd like to find out more about any of the products I have used please click on the product links below. Don't forget Sale-A-Bration ends today. These additional exclusive products will not be available beyond today.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (or click on the links above to find out more about specific products) or get in touch directly and I  can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door.

Birthday Bash Lined Berry Basket from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters.

How was your weekend? I had a lovely crafty day out on Friday with Mum. We popped to the Make It show in Farnborough. So much lovely inspiration and crafts to have a go at. Mum and I tried our hands at block printing to create a tea towel. I love trying new things although I really don't have extra hours in the day for new crafts *lol*

And did you see the new Sale-A-Bration products? What a great way to start the crafty week!

Today's crafty share is a little basket I created for my Monthly Card Class ladies. I used a base of Bermuda Bay cardstock with the Berry Basket Bigz Die. I then cut a second basket with Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper to line the inside of my basket.

To accessorise the basket I punched a bow using my Gift Bow Punch in coordinating Birthday Bash papers.

Painted Petals Birthday Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning lovelies.

And how are you all this fine morning? I am up and ready early again today as I had to get the girls ready before work. No better time to enjoy a cuppa and a bit of blogging (and I'm catching up with Call the Midwife on tv too).

This card was inspired by a beautiful creation I saw on Sarah-Jane's blog. I love this double stamping shadow effect. You stamp your images first with White Craft Ink and leave to dry thoroughly (or in the case of my class ladies we heat blasted it with a heat tool to speed along the process). You then slightly offset the image and stamp again in your chosen colour. I used Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive.

Stamping over the top of the white ink is made easier with photopolymer. By being able to see through the stamp you are able to get a good idea of where you are stamping before putting ink to your cardstock.

The greeting is taken from the free Sale-A-Bration set, Big Day (still one month to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration- receive a chosen freebie with a £45+ spend). I stamped the sentiment in Elegant Eggplant and coloured the inside of the letters with my White Chalk Marker.

Saleabration Big Day Chalkboard Birthday Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a very Happy Monday to you all.

Did you have a lovely weekend? What terrible weather we had yesterday! It poured down with rain on the Isle of Wight all day. Looks a bit better out there today. Might try and brave a trip to playgroup while its not raining. Although I did hear a mention of thunder snow on the news this morning. I would LOVE to see that ;0)

Today's crafty make was one of our class projects from Saturday. This card was inspired by a creation over on Nancy's blog. I love this multicoloured chalkboard style technique and the use of bright colours for a fun birthday card.

I started with a 10.5cm x 29.6cm base (scored at 14.8cm). I then cut a piece of the fabulous Stampin' Up! Irresistibly Yours Sale-A-Bration Paper sized 14.3cm x 10cm. I used a Stampin' Sponge to cover the paper in Daffodil Delight ink giving these fab bright stripes as a background.

To create the multicoloured chalkboard I wiped my small piece of Basic Black cardstock with my Embossing Buddy. I then heat embossed the sentiment and cake using White Stampin' Emboss powder. Once cooled you simply colour over your white embossing with whichever Blendabilities markers you would like. I used Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral.

I finished the card with two lengths of ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration Best Year Ever Accessory Pack and a Mini Metallic Clothespin. A lot less complicated than it looks.

A Lotus Blossom Saleabration Thank You from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good evening all. I hope you've had a lovely and creative week so far. It has been a busy one here on the Isle of Wight as I had some crafty friends round on Monday and did some card class prep. So this belated blog post comes with an apology. Today is the first opportunity I have had to photograph my projects in good light.

My first project of the week is the thank you note I made to enclose with all my recent party orders. I always like to include a little hand stamped note to show my appreciation. And I was recently told by one of my regular hostesses that she keeps all my cards as a little library of ideas and techniques. This made me smile as I can never throw away a handmade card so I loved to hear mine were being kept.

This is a super simple and easy three step stamping card. I made a stack of 18 cards in 15 minutes.

I cut three card bases from one sheet of Naturals Ivory Cardstock (each card base measures 9.9cm x 21cm scored at 10.5cm). I simply stamped the Lotus Blossom image from the Sale-A-Bration exclusive stamp set in Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral and Rose Red.

I then stamped the stem in Old Olive and the coordinating greeting in Rose Red. I finished with 3 Basic Pearls to add a small amount of embellishment.

And don't forget that as it is Wednesday we have a new range of Weekly Deals launching today. There are some great products this week including the Magnetic Big Shot platform and several dies at fantastic prices!

A Happy Thing Blendabilities Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty friends. And a very Happy Wednesday to you. We're on to the happy downward slide to another fantastic weekend.

We saw a small smattering of snow here yesterday. Not enough to build a snowman. But enough for Summer to throw a couple of snow balls at her Dad. I enjoyed watching the snow fall from my office window periodically through the day.

I have another of our class cards to share today. I featured previously a pair of cards I made with the lemon stamp from the A Happy Thing Sale-A-Bration stamp set so I wanted to give a bit of focus to the beautiful bird stamp from the same set.

I had seen this card on Pinterest made by the talented Fran Sabad (thank you for the inspiration) and decided to grab my Blendabilities and give it a go. I love the natural tone to this card and knew it would be a perfect Father's Day or male birthday card (I left the card without a sentiment so my ladies could personalise it themselves).

I used the following products for this card:

  1. Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Crumb Cake Blendabilities Markers
  2. Crumb Cake Cardstock
  3. Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
  4. Hardwood Background Stamp
  5. Soft Suede and Early Espresso Ink
  6. Sponge Daubers
  7. Naturals Candy Dots
I so love using my Blendabilities now and love finding the perfect blend of colours for my stamps. I love the development of colouring stamped images. Stampin' Up! have really innovated with their new ranges and I love trying new techniques and stamping ideas.

And don't forget that as it is Wednesday we have a new range of Weekly Deals launching today. There are some great products this week including Blendabilities and Silver Foil cardstock at fantastic prices!

An Adventure Bound Thank You Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. Welcome to my Wednesday make (you know what Wednesday means? New Weekly Deals over on my Online Store).

This is the last in my Adventure Bound series of cards. I just cannot praise this Paper Stack enough. I just love the photographic quality of each 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" piece of paper. I'd love to just frame them and put them on the wall.

I layered this gorgeous tree design over an Early Espresso card base. I then used some Early Espresso off cuts to cut the 'Thanks' using my Hello You Thinlits dies. I stamped the 'So Much' from the Crazy About You stamp set (available with the Thinlits as the Crazy About You bundle at a 15% discount) in Early Espresso ink and punched using the Word Window punch.

Just Saying Hello Adventure Bound Notecard from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters ;0) A very Happy Monday morning to you all. I hope you had a lovely crafty weekend. It has been a busy one here as I have lots of exciting Stampin' Up! events to prepare for this week. It is my monthly card class on Saturday as well as some exciting Sale-A-Braiton parties over the next week too (I still have dates available through February and March if you'd like to take advantage of all the extra Sale-A-Bration freebies). I've been having fun designing Thank You gifts for my lovely hostesses. But I'll share those with you next week.

Today's crafty project is another inspired by Jenny Hayward in Australia. I said it before and I'll say it again, the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack is perfect for creating quick and easy cards for men. Something I usually find quite a struggle is made so simply by these bold photographic designs.

With this card I wanted to give the card a graffiti feel. The brick design papers were a perfect base for a graffiti theme. I used my Crazy About You Bundle (comprised of the Crazy About You stampset and Hello You Thinlits Dies) to create the sentiment. I stamped the 'Just Sayin' in Early Espresso to stand out from the brickwork. The 'Hello' and cardbase are cut from Cajun Craze cardstock.

My final embellishment were the three Gold Glimmer stars punched using my Confetti Stars Punch.

Fun with the Adventure Awaits Bundle by Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty friends. I have a confession. I am in love with the new Adventure Bound Paper Stack. I cannot express just how lovely these papers are. They are 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" in size which is perfect for mounting on to a card front as I have done here. The stack has 48 sheets (4 each of 12 double sided designs) and each sheet is lovely quality thick cardstock.

These papers are perfect for masculine projects and would suit a Birthday, Father's Day, graduation or any celebration where more masculine colours are needed. And they are so lovely on their own they need little extra embellishment.

This card is a case of a little frame in the Spring Summer catalogue. I love the simplicity of simply stamping the 'Adventure Begins' stamp in bold black over the top of the tree image. This would be a perfect 'Travel Safe' card for someone off on a travelling adventure.

A Sale-A-Bration 2015 Happy Thing set of cards from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a very Happy Thursday to you all. What has your week brought you so far? I returned to work this week following my Sylvie maternity leave. What an adjustment that is. I love the routine of work and of structuring my day. But I also really miss the girls too and our casual days at home. Still today is my final work day of the week so I will have to come up with something fun to do with the girls tomorrow when I am at home with them again.

Today I wanted to show you this pair of cards I made with the gorgeous A Happy Thing Sale-A-Bration freebie stamp set (receive this stamp free with a purchase of £45+). I initially got this stamp set as I loved the little bird stamp and thought he would lend himself to Blendabilities colouring. I had completely overlooked the lemon image until I came across this little picture in my Next catalogue.

I just fell in love with the colour scheme of this little girls dress and knew it would make the perfect starting point for using the little lemon stamp from A Happy Thing.

So here is what I came up with.

I picked Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay as my main cardstock colours and used my Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Blendabilities Markers to blend and shade the lemons.

I created the Bermuda Bay border using my Scallop Edge Border Punch.

After creating my first card I wanted to carry on colouring so decided to create a simply One Sheet Wonder style card. I stamped the lemon image all over my piece of cardstock and then filled the gaps with the 'Love Life' sentiment. I then blended and coloured the leaves and lemons. For this card I used the Blendabilities Colour Lifter marker to give the extra bit of colour definition. I lifted some of the blended yellow on the lemons to have that dimensional feel.

I really enjoyed using the Next catalogue picture as inspiration for my two cards today. I'm now going to keep my eye out for more inspiring images and see what I can come up with.

Perpetual Birthday Calendar Project Kit stamped by Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. Are you loving all the new loveliness of the Spring Summer catalogue and Sale-A-Bration? What is not to love?

As promised I am sharing with you today the first half of my Perpetual Birthday Calendar made with the amazing Project Kit from the Spring Summer catalogue.

Some days I crave crafting using a kit. Something ready prepared and waiting to be made in to something beautiful. And this kit is my all time favourite kit offered by Stampin' Up! It is just such a lovely little make and so much fun to put together.

During Demonstrator preorder this was the first thing I ordered along with the coordinating Perpetual Birthday Calendar Photopolymer stamp set (all the lovely background stamps along with the months).

To keep it simple I used the suggested ink colours in the instructions: Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Baked Brown Sugar, Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and Real Red. I simply picked out these ink pads and sat down at my desk to create with the ready made die cuts, embellishments and accessories.

Each month has its own background embellishment stamp ranging from hearts and butterflies to splodges and leaves.

The kit also contains sequins, trim & confetti stickers to add extra texture and fun to your pages.

I especially love the little die cut feathers. I loved creating this Melon Mambo themed page for April.

Just a little tip if you purchase and create this little project kit. Each ready made calendar page is printed with a specific number of days. So be sure to make sure you pick the right number days for the month your are stamping. I am so glad I realised this before starting my calendar. I would not have been happy to have stamped January with 30 days or February with 31!!

And as well as the lovely stamped calendar pages you also get the hard board and clip to mount your pages on to. And they all come packaged in this lovely presentation box too (perfect for keeping your completed calendar in when not on display or for decorating if you are giving as a gift).

Pop back on Friday and I will have the final 6 months of the year to share with you.

Here is the full kit and all its components. If you click on the image it will connect you through my online store for more detail. The kit is £14.50. A really good value fun make.

Thank you so much for popping by today. Thank you for supporting my blog throughout the year. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (you can click on the pictures below) or get in touch direct and I'll order them for you.
