A Merry Moments Poinsettia Quick Christmas Make from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. How was your weekend? We are just back from two weeks away in our motorhome. It was a bit rainy and cold but we had a lovely time in Northumberland exploring, walking, cycling and enjoying family time. I hope you enjoyed all the posts I scheduled for you in my absence. I made sure to create several weeks worth of craftiness before I left.

I have a quick make to share with you today. I made this a couple of weeks ago. And would you believe this card almost made itself from scraps in the bin. I was having a sort out of my craft desk and had thrown a load of scraps and odds and ends from other cards into my bin. When I looked in I saw the Merry Moments Tree DSP lying there with the ready cut out poinsettia and sentiment.

I rescued all the component parts and added a little bit of embellishment using my Banner Punch to cut the little flags from Merry Moments scraps. I added a White Perfect Accent and a few Basic Jewels and voila I had a Christmas card for my stash.

So there you go. Sometimes those scraps you throw away or those flowers that don't look right on one card can be put together to form something completely different.

And here is just a little peek at our time away. Here are me and the girls enjoying a seal cruise around the Farne Islands.

Seasonally Scatttered Christmas Greetings from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Christmas Eve to all my lovely friends and crafty readers.

Whatever you have planned over the next few days I hope you have a fantastic time and I hope Santa brings you that perfect crafty item for your stash (I wrote a very nice letter asking for a pyrography kit and some polymer clay *fingers crossed*).

My last festive crafty share is this Christmas card I made using Night of Navy cardstock, Silver Glimmer Paper, Vellum and the Seasonally Scattered stamp set.

I stamped my 'Merry' stamp on to a piece of vellum and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. I then turned the vellum over and daubered Night of Navy ink on to the reverse of my image.
I added the 'Christmas' from the Good Greetings stamp set and finished with Basic Rhinestones for extra festive sparkle.

Thank you so much for popping by today and for sharing in the Christmas Eve festivities. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and thank you for supporting my blog throughout the year. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (links above or click on the pictures below) or get in touch direct and I'll order them for you.

Stars, Sleighs and Christmas Cheer Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

I was hopping around Pinterest last week (as you do) and came across this amazing card by the very talented Teneale Williams (her blog is a must for some very inspiring ideas and techniques for using SU products). I had to give a Stampin' Sarah spin (I didn't have all the products required for a direct CASE).

I just loved the simplicity and the tone on tone Cherry Cobbler. When it comes to Christmas crafting, you can never have too much Cherry Cobbler I say. It is my number 1 must have for cards and festive creations. So matching my Cherry Cobbler cardstock base with the gorgeous Under the Tree Speciality Paper was a prefect combination (Under the Tree is actually a very thick and sturdy card perfect for Christmas box making!).

I daubered the edges of the Cherry Cobbler layer and then layered my Under the Tree piece with Brushed Gold cardstock. I created the edging with my Scallop Edge Punch from Champagne Glimmer Paper.

For the main image I cut a star using my Stars Framelits Dies from Crumb Cake cardstock. I stamped the sleigh image from the Holiday Home stamp set in Basic Black and doodled the stitching around the star using my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write marker. The sentiment and frame is from the Project Life December Wonder stamp set (a perfect addition to any Christmas scrapbookers stamp collection),

The final touch was a little Cherry Cobbler star (punched using the Itty Bitty Accents punch) and some swirly Linen Thread.

I just absolutely love the original and I love my Stampin' Sarah'd version too. I have to say a big thank you to Teneale for the inspiration.

And just before I go, don't forget to check out this weeks fab Weekly Deals by clicking the image below.

Thank you for popping by today. I hope you enjoyed today's crafty festive project. I'll have another project to share tomorrow so please come back to see what else I've been creating.

A very Cheerful Christmas card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and welcome to a new crafty week here at Stampin' Sarah! HQ. It has been a very wet and grey weekend here on the Isle of Wight but that didn't stop all the lovely early Christmas shoppers from turning out at another fabulous Christmas Fair in Cowes on Saturday. I love this annual event at the Yacht Haven. So many lovely stalls and customers. My felt and ribbon wreaths proved super popular and I'm glad I decided to have a go at making them. I'll share a few pics of my favourites later in the week (also show you some new ways to use Stampin' Up! dies).

Today's crafty project was designed by my downline Lorraine for our team get together last week. I had forgotten how much I love the Cheerful Christmas stamp set. It works so beautifully with the Filigree Frame Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Such a classic and simple card to recreate.

We used a Very Vanilla cardbase embossed with the Filgree Frame. We then stamped the 'Christmas Cheer' sentiment in Always Artichoke. Then to finish we coloured Basic Rhinestones with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities pens and embellished the swirly stamped image. Et voila! A perfectly festive (and easy to mass produce) Christmas card.

Thanks for stopping by today. If you have any questions about today's project or the products I have used, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. You can order online direct through my store by clicking the product links above or the pictures below. Wonderful Wreath Joy Shaker Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Hello lovely crafty friends! It is the weekend. Time to celebrate and get festive. The ads on TV are well and truly Christmasy now so I don't feel bad for spending my weekends making little festive fun things for my girls. I might even have to break open Elf over the weekend and partake of some festive film frolics with a bowl of maple syrup covered spaghetti.

Today's crafty share is a project I CASED from the lovely Kimberly Van Diepen over in the States. I just adored this simple Whisper White layered shaker card the moment I came across it on Pinterest. So I used it as the basis for my creation for my lovely team ladies get together this week.

I cut the 'Joy' using the fab Wonderful Wreath Framelits and then glued a small piece of Window Sheet over the back (a step I initially forgot and then wondered why all my shaker bits fell out the front of the card!! Doh!) to cover the cut out word.

For the shaker elements I used my Star Confetti Punch to cut lots of little Champagne and Silver Glimmer Paper stars which I then mixed with sequins from the In Color Sequin Assortment.

I surrounded the Joy with Dimensionals to create a seal around the area I wanted to shake. This prevents all the little stars from flying everywhere. It also gives this lovely shadowed raised effect too.

To finish the card I used some of the punched stars, sequins and basic rhinestones to create a little bit of bling and colour on the front of my card.

Thanks for stopping by today. If you have any questions about today's project or the products I have used, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. You can order online direct through my store by clicking the product links above or the pictures below. Seasonally Scattered Thank You from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Continuing the theme of the week, baby wipe stamping, here is another quite thank you note I created with the Seasonally Scattered stamp set.

For this combination of colours I used Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler reinkers. I wanted a more yellow-y orange effect but didn't have the right reinkers (something I have now rectified with an extra order for the remaining colour families I didn't already own in reinker). I stamped the 'Thanks' image on to Naturals White cardstock (more of a homemade paper feel).

I love how this turned out. It still has an autumnal feel about it.

The little flowers I added were punched with my Itty Bitty Accents flower punch from Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I punched the images from a scrap piece of card which I had previously stamped the same image in Encore Gold which gives the slightly patterned flowers.

Today is Wednesday, so you know what that means, Weekly Deals. Click on the picture below to connect through to my online store to find out more about this weeks product bargains.

Seasonally Scattered Christmas Greetings from Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Monday Crafters!

How was your weekend? It was a rainy, thundery and windy one here on the Isle of Wight. Perfect for crafting weather. I tucked myself up to craft in my craft room and then realised some of my cardstock was damp. So one thing led to another and I ended up having a tidy up and a bit of a move around. It certainly is tidier but there is still a long way to go (I always end up preferring to craft than to organise!)

Today's crafty share is a project we made in last month's card class. I love the baby wipe technique. It is so effective. And I especially love the dimensional look it gives the Seasonally Scattered stamps.

For this card I folded two baby wipes on a plate and dropped reinker in Soft Sky, Pool Party, Marina Mist and Island Indigo to create my own multi-coloured ink pad. The key is to drop the ink spots close to one another and it give it a couple of minutes to spread a bit as you'll end up with a complete image.

I then simply embellished with Frosted Sequins and layered on to Marina Mist cardstock embossed with the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder. The final touch was a length of Island Indigo Cotton Ribbon tied around the card to hide the join in the layers.

Thanks for stopping by today. If you have any questions about today's project or the products I have used, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. You can order online direct through my store by clicking the product links above or the pictures below.
