Garden In Bloom Candle Gift Set from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

It is a new crafty week at Stampin' Sarah HQ and a fun week of craftiness ahead with classes and crafty get togethers. I had a lovely weekend catching up with some Stampin' Up! friends and sharing the new catalogue and all the goodies contained within with them.

Now the party is over I can share with you the candle I made as my Hostess thank you gift. I have gotten a bit carried away with the Garden In Bloom stamp set recently. Everything I have been stamping seems to feature this lovely triple stamping set.

I created these two candles using the tissue paper technique. I stamped the floral images on to white tissue paper and then wrapped the tissue around my candle and held in place with tightly wrapped greaseproof baking paper. I then used my heat tool to melt the wax a little and soak the tissue paper in to the candle. Such a simple technique but perfect for all occasions.

For the blue tone floral candle I used Memento Black, Pool Party, Marina Mist, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight ink to stamp my flowers and leaves.

I was really pleased with the way the candles turned out. My second attempt was a little more detailed and I forgot that the ink was still wet on my craft table so it all got a bit smudged. But Summer absolutely loved it and has adopted the bumble bee and butterfly candle as her own.

If you pop back on Wednesday I will share the matching thank you card and packaging for this card. I had so much fun designing the cute little set for my hostess at the weekend. Half the fun of prepping for a Stampin' Up! party is coming up with the gift set for my hostess.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!)

A Wonderfall Birthday

Happy Monday morning to you all. I hope you had a lovely weekend.

I had a lovely Saturday afternoon spent with some crafty ladies for a Stampin' Up! party. Thank you to the lovely Angie for hosting and I look forward to delivering you a big box of Stampin' Up! goodies very soon. I will be sharing with you the make and take card we made later in the week. But I thought I would share the Demo project I made as the hostess thank you gift. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of the set I made for Saturday but made a similar set for my downline Sandy who celebrated her birthday on Friday.

I absolutely love the Triple Time Stamping technique and thought it would work so well with the Wonderfall stamp set. I chose the colour scheme to match the Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper (Raspberry Ripple, Cajun Craze, More Mustard & Gumball Green). I stamped the  leaves on the card in the various different colours making sure to cross the Whisper White layers. I stamped the Teeny Tiny Wishes Happy Birthday sentiment in Raspberry Ripple.

I then created a matching sliding gift box embellished with Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon and Summer Starfruit Stitched Ribbon. I also cut and embossed leaves using the Autumn Accent bigz Die to embellish the box.

Inside the sliding drawer is a set of scented stamped tealight candles. These were stamped in matching colours using parts of the Wonderfall leaf images. I found this brilliant tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers which explained how to create stamped tealights.

I was really pleased with the effect and the tealight stamping demo went down a treat too.

Happy Monday Crafting to you.

Please get in touch if you'd like to find out more about hosting a Stampin' Up! party. I am more than happy to Demo any technique or create a make and take for your interests. Just get in touch and I'll be happy to talk you through it: poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249.

Off to Convention

If you are a Stampin' Up! regular, or you hop around a few Demo blogs, you won't have failed to notice that Convention fever is in the air. So as you read this,  I will be on my way to Paris for this years European Stampin' Up! Convention. Two days of Disneyland fun with fellow Demos from the UK, France and Germany. Stampin' Up! always know how to put on a good show and there is always a couple of fun crafting sessions too. But I'll share more on that on my return....

I've kept things a bit simpler on the swaps front this year and also had a great deal of assistance from my lovely Mum too. I just havent had the energy to do all the organised swaps like I did last year. I wanted to be involved in the swapping but also had to consider that I'll have to carry everything home on the plane ;0)  If you pop back tomorrow I'll share my Card Candy and general swaps. Todays project are the stamped candles I made for my two Convention roomies, Jenny and Anja. They havent turned out quite as perfect as I imagined (its been well over a year since i tried candle stamping) but I do love the embossed gold and silver against the red candle (which matches Stampin' Up!'s Cherry Cobbler ribbon and embossing powder perfectly).

So here are my Serene Snowflake candles.....

Thank you for stopping by today and come back tomorrow for more swapping and convention makes.

Happy Crafting ;0)
