Christmas Mini Pizza Box and Shrink Plastic Necklace from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Saturday Crafters.

How has September been for you? Are you enjoying all the Christmas craftiness in the new Autumn Winter catalogue? I am really enjoying the products this year.  I love playing with the new stamps and seeing all the makes on Pinterest that people are creating with them.

Another of the projects we created at my August Craft Day was a Mini Pizza Box (have you seen these? They are foodsafe and perfect for packaging treats for Christmas) with a Christmas Charm Necklace inside.

We decorated the outside with a belly band created with the Be Merry Designer Series Paper and layered with images cut using the Santa's Sleigh Dies and Red Glimmer Paper and Garden Green DSP. We added embellishments from the Hearts & Stars Elements pack and a length of Cherry Cobbler Ribbon.

Inside the box was a separate project we created, a Christmas necklace with handmade paper beads and a charm stamped with Shrink Plastic.  I used this tutorial to try making different shapes of beads. We glazed with the Fine Tip Glue Pen and added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter for a bit of shimmer. For my two sample necklaces I stamped images from the Santa's Sleigh Stamp Set in Staz On on to clear shrink plastic. I then cut around the image and used my heat tool to shrink the image. I then coloured with alcohol markers to ensure the colours would stay on the plastic.

These would make a great table place setting or extra little gift for a friend. It was a really enjoyable project to make and it went down well with my attendees on the day. I haven't crafted with shrink plastic for years and had forgotten the simple enjoyment of making the image shrink down and creating the little charms.

A Swirly Bird Celebration from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty lovelies. How has your week been? We spent a lovely week in the New Forest last week. We hired a caravan for the week and enjoyed swimming, a bit of sunshine and exploring the forest as well as a day out at Peppa Pig World which the girls loved.

I have a card created with the Swirly Bird bundle paired with the gorgeous new In Colors. I love the versatility and simplicity of this card. I used the swirly die cut as the base for my wreath. I then stamped and hand cut my elements which I then mounted over the wreath with dimensionals. I finished with tiny basic pearls.

I stamped the Celebrate from Thoughtful Banners as my sentiment.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, or any of our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!).

An Among the Branches Sneak Peek from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a happy wet and rainy Wednesday to you all. To celebrate the weather and the changing of the seasons (although I haven't quite given up on summer just yet!) I created this card using some of my lovely sneak peek Autumn Winter products.

This card was made using a fantastic upcoming bundle; the Among the Branches stamp set coupled with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Such a great bundle at £19.25. Available from September 1st.

To anyone that knows me, they'll know how much I love owls. So this set was a must for me. I loved being able to add the owl silhouette to my embossed forest.

To create the contrast I embossed the trees and then used Soft Suede ink and a dauber to darken the tree trunks.

I added linen thread and a gold heat embossed sentiment (this is taken from the Among the Branches stamp set). The added embellishments are new Into the Woods Elements (£6.00).

I am absolutely loving all the new products. I would love to share the new catalogue with you. So if you would like a copy on your door mat please drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk with your address and I'll happily pop one out in the post to you.

As it is Wednesday that means new Weekly Deals. Click below to see the new products on offer this week.

Thank you for popping by today. I will be back Friday with some more festive sneak peeks from the new Autumn Winter catalogue. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. Butterfly Basics meets Painted Blooms from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters.

Happy Thursday to you. How is your crafty week going? I had my lovely Hostess Club ladies round last night for a bit of craftiness and a cuppa. We had a lovely catch up over a card. I run my Hostess Club evenings every other month. I would love to welcome you to the Hostess Club, either locally or virtually (I can provide project kits if you are unable to attend), you can find out more here or by dropping me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk. And don't forget you'll benefit from sharing in regular Stampin' Up! promotions, a handmade gift from me each month and one month of hostess freebies.

Today's crafty share is inspired by this Jennifer McGuire tutorial I found on partial die cutting. I loved the simplicity of creating a dimensional fancy fold with my Butterflies Thinlits Dies.  Although after prepping 8 of these card bases I did begin to wonder what had inspired this creative fancifulness (each card required 3 times through the Big Shot).

I used the Butterfly Basics stamp set to create the Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight butterflies. Both the Thinlits and Stamps are available as part of a fantastically priced bundle  (only £36.25 for the photopolymer bundle).

I layered a strip of Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper over Old Olive cardstock and secured this to my base layer (so the butterflies overlapped). I then finished with a Melon Mambo coloured pearl (I used my Blendabilities markers to colour my pearl) and three Brights Candy Dots.

Thank you for popping by today. You can find out more about the new Spring Summer Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration promotion by clicking here or by using the navigation menu on the left. This really is the most exciting time of the year to shop. New products and fantastic freebie rewards too.

Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (click on the links below to find out more about specific products) or get in touch directly and I  can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door.

And to celebrate the launch of the new Autumn Winter catalogue I wanted to share this fun Block Stepper Card I created for my August Card Class.

As you've probably realised I am completely addicted to my Blendabilities and colouring my stamped images. I'm by no means an expert when it comes to colouring but I enjoy experimenting with the colours to see what effects I can come up with. So when I opened my copy of the new catalogue you can imagine my delight when I came across the Partridge & Pears stamp set. I love colouring all the elements of this image.

This card was made using a Cherry Cobbler card base measuring 12" x 4-1/2" (scored at 1-1/2" intervals in both directions). I followed these instructions created by the lovely Eveline as to how to cut and fold the card base.

I then decorated with 1-1/4" squares of Champagne Glimmer Paper and 1-1/8" squares of Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper (a fantastic little paper stack with 48 sheets of 11.4 x 16.5cm Christmas paper for the bargain price of £6.25).

The image was then stamped in Memento Black ink and coloured with my Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Smokey Slate Blendabilities.

The Merry Christmas is stamped using the fab Good Greetings stamp set (receive free for hosting a party don't forget!)

Please let me know if you have any questions about this project. You can get in touch via email:poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. I'm more than happy to help. Free Bundles with the Big Shot in August

Good morning and welcome to August. Stampin' Up! are celebrating the summer with a fantastic promotion. If you buy a Big Shot anytime through till August 31st you can choose a free Framelit and stamp set bundle to get you started with your new crafty tool. That is up to an extra £55 in value for free!!

My crafting was revolutionised the day I bought my Big Shot and I can honestly say it was the best investment I have made in my cardmaking and scrapbooking. I love adding texture with embossing folders and there is hardly a card goes by without some cut out or shape added with a Framelit or Die.

If you click on either of the pictures (above or below) you can find out more and see the bundles in more detail. And as an added bonus, if you already own the Big Shot you can purchase one of these exclusive bundles at the 15% discount through till the end of the month.

And to celebrate such a fantastic promotion I wanted to share another of my recent Perfect Peacock makes with a flourish created with the Big Shot and my Bitty Banners Framelits.

I had seen a Peacock on Pinterest coloured with a blend of greens and I just loved it (green being my favourite colour and all) so I gave it my own spin. I used my Coastal Cabana, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities to create this lovely chap. I then added Gold Glitz Dazzling Details to the feathers for an extra bit of pizzazz. The Happy Day is from the Ronald McDonald charity stamp set Flamingo Lingo. I cut the Whisper White layer with my matching Bitty Banner Framelit. I then layered on to Old Olive and cut a slighly larger banner by hand.

I will never get tired of colouring and creating with this stamp. I just find colouring and shading this Peacock so relaxing. I have my mind on colouring this was a festive colour scheme to see if I can somehow make a Christmas card with the image. I have the last 6 sets of Blendabilities winging their way to me as I type. I cannot wait to get blending with some new colours. Pop over to my Online Store by clicking on any of the product links above to find out more or drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249 to chat about Stampin' Up!

I'd love to help you get started with your Big Shot. So if you purchase your Big Shot either online with me or by placing your order via email (poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk) or over the phone (01983 609249) I am offering a one to one Big Shot class to get you going with your new die cutting machine. If you do not live local to me I will happily send the project kits in the post for you to make at your leisure.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'd love to help.

The Autumn Winter Catalogue is here

The new Autumn Winter seasonal catalogue from Stampin' Up! is here. Click on the picture above to link through to all the lovely new seasonal makings and craftiness. I have been sharing projects made with all the lovely new products over the last week and now the products are available to purchase. If you'd like a copy of the new catalogue, just drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk and I'll happily pop one in the post for you.

There are also two new promotions launched today from Stampin' Up!, one fab bundle discount  on Papillion Pot Pourri and the matching punch, and also the very lovely 'Best of Christmas' stamp set for September. More information on the promotions tab above.

And now for a quick crafty share to celebrate the new catalogue launch.

Just a quick and simple creative share with you today. My lovely Mum brought home a whole box of these black gift bags from work thinking I could use them for my Christmas day. I was more than happy to have a go at decorating them as I knew the black bag would work perfectly with the Stampin' Up! Glimmer Papers and the beautiful new Winter Frost Speciality Designer Series Paper.

Each of the bags originally featured a popular whisky brands logo on each side. So to cover these logos up and to create a lovely bottle gift bag I made these pennant style snowflake embellishments. The pennant was cut using the beautiful Winter Frost Speciality DSP. I then layered up snowflakes cut with the Festive Flurry Framelits from Silver Glimmer Paper, Bermuda Bay cardstock and then a smaller snowflake cut from one of the patterned foiled sheets from the Speciality DSP.  I made two of these pennants to stick to each side of the gift bag.

A quick and simple crafty project to embellish and personalise a quick bottle gift bag.

Thanks for popping by today. I know there is a lot to take in with all the news and a new catalogue launch. Please get in touch with any questions or to be sent a copy of the fantastic new seasonal catalogue. I'm always more than happy to chat Stampin' Up! and all things crafty.

Happy Tuesday Makings

My return to work has thrown my crafting schedule right out the window. I love scrapbooking and telling my family stories on paper with pictures. But sadly with Summer and work and classes to prepare for, sometimes my scrapbooking gets pushed to the bottom of the list. So I am sharing a Try It Tuesday card today instead. I decided to search Pinterest for some inspiration this time. Sometimes if I have a bit of a creativity block I will type in a stamp set name and look through all the inspiration on Pinterest to get me started. I came across this card by a talented German Demonstrator and set about recreating it.

I love the stamped images of the bee and butterfly from the Collage Curios stamp set. They fit perfectly within the embossed hexagons (Honeycomb Embossing Folder). This is a beautifully simple card and I love the natural-ness of the Crumb Cake and Linen Thread.

Just a reminder that I am still offering the opportunity to WIN a BIG SHOT. Place a qualifying Sale-A-Bration order (£45+) with me before March 22nd to be entered in to the draw. Only 8 names in the hat at the moment so the chances of winning are pretty darn good ;0) Click on the photo for more info.

And don't forget the fantastic freebies on offer till March 22nd when you place a £45 order during Sale-A-Bration.

Please get in touch for any Stampin' Up! help or to book a party or place an order (poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249).
