Going Global Embossed Love Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Weekly Deals Wednesday Crafters. Hop on over to my online store to check out this weeks deals, including some great reductions on some 3d item Bigz Dies.

Now on to today's craftiness. I have another Going Global project to share with you today using the full suite of products including the fab World Traveller Textured Impressions Embossing Folder which I used to create the background for this card.

My colour scheme for this card is Mint Macaron, Pool Party and Whisper White. I used my 2" Circle Punch to punch out the globe stamped image which I stamped over with the 'The Love Between Us' sentiment.

I added Subtles Candy Dots to embellish. I used matching tones of blue and green to compliment my colour scheme.

I love the simplicity of this card and I adore this suite of products. There are so many possibilities for this stamp and paper set to make great masculine cards for birthdays and Valentines Day. And Stampin' Up! have made purchasing coordinating products so easy in the Spring Summer catalogue. You could purchase the Going Global stamp set, World Traveller Embossing Folder, Going Places DSP, Going Places Cardstock Pack, a pack of Dimensionals and matching Subtles Candy Dots for £47.00 which would then mean you would qualify for a Sale-A-Bration freebie from the exclusive limited time Sale-A-Bration catalogue. Click on the images below to see these products in more detail.

A Festive Fireplace Easel Card Sneak Peek from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters and welcome to another Christmas-y Autumn Winter Catalogue Sneak Peek. This time I am sharing a project I came up with using the upcoming Autumn Winter Festive Fireplace stamp set and Fireside Framelit bundle.

As soon as I saw this stamp I knew it would be PERFECT for a vellum and battery tealight easel card creation. I am a big fan of using battery tealights for my special Christmas cards. They become a decoration in themselves and its nice to sometimes give an extra special card. So this is what I came up with.

I found packs of battery tealights in my local pound shop and as a bonus they were the flickering ones giving the fire an extra realistic light effect. I deliberately photographed this card as it was getting dark to give you an idea of how lovely and warm the card felt with the glowing fireplace.

For this card I used a 10.5cm x 29.7cm (half A4 cut at 10.5cm). I scored the card at 14.8 and again at 7.4 (this formed the folded over easel part of the card).  This is a standard easel card in format. However, I had to cut the window through three layers of card using a craft knife to give the tealight the chance to glow through the fireplace. I started by cutting the middle of the fireplace out and using the middle rectangle as a template to cut the next two layers (I then carefully lined them up to adhere them together).  I stamped the fire on to a small piece of Vellum cardstock (slightly larger than the hole in the middle of the fireplace) and turned over to color the image with Stampin' Write markers. I sandwiched the Vellum between the layers before adhering the fireplace to the main card.

I used a Cherry Cobbler based layered with Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. I stamped the fireplace on to Very Vanilla and coloured with Blender Pens and Cajun Craze ink. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from another new stamp set called Cozy Christmas. To help the easel stand up I used Candy Dots and jewels. It gives just enough height to help the card stand up.

Finally here is a view of the card from the side to show how I positioned the tealight to make the fire glow.

I think I have earned a cuppa and a sit down today. It is 11.37am as I type this and the girls had me up at 5am. By 7am we were out walking and enjoying the warm morning (I thought as the weather is so changeable at the moment it would be best to take advantage of the sunshine early). We walked up over the hill to Carisbrooke Castle and the girls enjoyed the sights and meeting lots of early morning dog walkers. We then came home and baked a cake, a quiche, painted Summer's nails and I finally found time to publish this blog. A cuppa is definitely now in order. Phew......

A bits and bobs box for my Hostess Club from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

I was indulging in one of my favourite pastimes over the  weekend- stationery shopping, when I came across these tiny little Really Useful Boxes. What crafter doesn't love a little crafty storage for embellishments and all those little 'bits and bobs'? Which gave me the inspiration for this months Hostess Club gift.

I bought a selection of coloured boxes and knew that the brightly coloured Project Life cards and accessory packs would be perfect for creating these little toppers.

I chose a selection of colourful patterned Project Life cards and cut them to 2"x1.5" to fit the flat lid area. I then used my Alphabet Rotary Stamp to create the 'Bits and Bobs' which I then punched and attached with Dimensionals.

I used the various Project Life Accessory Packs I have accumulated to create the little banners and embellishments and finished with Brights Candy Dots.

This is such a perfect way to create a little storage for your craft desk as well as use up all those bits of embellishments in your Project Life stash.

I filled each little box with various crafty embellishments I had in my craft room. Mostly retired Stampin' Up! embellishments. But I did sneak a few jewels and pretties from my stash too. I love making these little packages for my Hostess Club ladies. And I know I would love to receive a little package of sparkly goodies like this. So I hope they all like their gift for the month.

Paper Stack Sampler Hostess Club Gifts from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. Happy Monday to you all.

How was your weekend? It flew by here. The Isle of Wight has been host to the annual music festival so it has been fun listening to the music from the garden and seeing all the revellers enjoying themselves. It all goes back to normal today as everyone will be heading home.

Today I have a quick crafty project to share with you. For my hostess club ladies this month I wanted to make a little product sampler of lovely new catalogue products. During the Demonstrator preorder I had purchased the Neutral Designer Series Paper Stack and thought it would make a perfect little 4"x6" sampler pack.

I cut a selection of the paper designs down to 4"x6" (the papers are 12"x12") and packaged with Neutrals Candy Dots and Basic Pearls.

I created a little label using my 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch and 2" Circle Punch. I punched the scallop circle from Soft Suede and then the smaller circle from Whisper White. I used Smoky Slate ink to stamp the Work of Art paint swoosh and then Chocolate Chip for the greeting. I added the Chevrons in Crumb Cake.

And here are all the designs and packages all ready to be added to my Hostess Club ladies orders.

If you would like more information on joining one of my Clubs you can click on the Virtual Club tab at the top of the page. I welcome new members at any time through the  year. So as well as the Stampin' Up! hostess benefits and any monthly promotions you will also benefit from a handmade gift or sampler from me with your order each month. Please drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk if you would like more information or if you would like to join.

Bright Little Letters Birthday Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty friends.

It is a bright and sunny Wednesday here on the Isle of Wight and I have the perfect way to celebrate- this week's Weekly Deals. Pop over and check out some fantastic offers on punches, pens and embellishments.

Now for my crafty creation for the day. This is the card I made for my girls to give to Aunty Sophie for her birthday last week.

I used a selection of cardstock from the Brights Collection to punch the circles. I then ran the circles through my Big Shot with the Little Letters Framelits Dies to create the 'Happy' and 'Birthday'.

I used my Simply Serif Mini Alphabet for the 'Sophie' which I layered over bright stars punched with my Itty Bitty Accents Mini Star Punch. I  finished with Brights Candy Dots.

Hostess Club Adventure Awaits Notebooks from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters.

Its nearly the weekend. Hope you have lots of craftiness planned. I am hoping for a big Project Life catch up. Going to spend some time this evening printing pictures ready for adding to my album.

My crafty share today is a project I made for my hostess club members to accompany their February orders. I absolutely adore the Adventure Bound Paper Stack and Adventure Awaits Stamp Set (also available together as a bundle) and wanted to put them together to make these pocket sized notebooks.

This one is my favourite of my creations. I find any stamp against this brick design looks like fancy graffiti. I just love the effect.

I also had some issues with a very juicy White Craft Pad which gave this large design a more watery effect than I had intended. But I felt it matched the wave papers in the background.

I accessorised each of the 10 notebooks I created with complimentary coloured Candy Dots.

Thank you for popping by today. You can find out more about the new Spring Summer Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration promotion by clicking here or by using the navigation menu on the left. This really is the most exciting time of the year to shop. New products and fantastic freebie rewards too.

A Big Sketched Birthday Bash Scrapbook Page from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a very Happy Monday to yoiu. What a beautiful weekend we had here on the Isle of Wight. I took the girls for a walk yesterday in the beautiful sunshine. With a smattering of bulbs pushing through the soggy ground and sun blazing down it feels like Spring is just around the corner.

I have another scrapbook page to share with you today. I wanted to create a simple birthday layout with the gorgeous gold foiled Birthday Bash Speciality Designer Series Papers in the Spring Summer catalogue. I knew they would be a perfect match with the Sketched Birthday stamp set.

I used a Whisper White 12"x12" base and then created a Daffodil Delight strip (12"x4") which I stamped with the images from Sketched Birthday. I used the colours from the DSP as my theme: Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry and Tangelo Twist.

I then created my banner using the Banner Framelit Dies and offcuts of the Birthday Bash DSP. I arranged my photos first (layered over a 4.25"x6.25" piece of DSP) then positioned my banners before glueing. I added small embellishments to my banners including Brights Buttons, glimmer paper stars punched with my Itty Bitty Accents Star Punch and Candy Dots.

To finish I added my title. I cut the 'Happy' using my Hello You Thinlits and the 'Birthday' was cut from Gold Foil card using my Little Letters Thinlits.

I hope you enjoyed my crafty make today. The pictures are from Summer's 2nd birthday last year. She loves balloons of all shapes and sizes so I knew the lovely gold foiled Speciality Papers with the ballooon design would be a perfect accent for my scrapbook page. Birthday season is nearly upon my again. I am in the process of starting my planning for Sylvie next month and Summer in May. Where does the time go?

A Gold Soiree Retirement Celebration Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters.

I had a lovely festive make to share with you this morning but my computer decided to delete the whole post just as I was about to publish it. So I decided to give you something a little different (and not Christmas-y at all) this morning and I'll rewrite the festive post for one of my posts next week.

I think I mentioned that my lovely Chiropractor has recently retired. Off on a retirement adventure in her campervan. I wanted to make her a card to accompany her gift I'd bought. I've never made a retirement card before so I just picked some papers and started creating.

I used the Gold Soiree Speciality Papers to create my little banners. I glued a Itty Bitty Accents star punched from Champagne Glimmer Paper to the longest banner.

I stamped the Happy Retirement from Teeny Tiny Sentiments (a stamp set with a sentiment for nearly every occasion!) and punched with the Word Window Punch and then mounted on to a Brushed Gold Modern Label Punch shape.

To finish I tied Linen Thread around the card and then glued Subtles Candy Dots to give a 'sprinkled' effect.

Don't forget to check out the Year End Closeout bargains on the Clearance Rack (and while you are there have a quick peek at this week's Weekly Deals too). Some fantastic bargains to be had. But stock only available while supplies last so get your order in quick so as not to miss out! Click the image below to link straight through to the products available at great prices.

Easter Basket Surprise Gift Box

Good morning and a very Happy Monday to you all. How is the weather in your part of the world? We have lovely bright sunshine here on the Isle of Wight (interspersed over the weekend with some serious hail stones!) so have made the most of it by taking the girls out to the park and to the beach. Sylvie doesn't seem to appreciate it quite as much as Summer does just yet as she continues to mainly sleep her days away (but I am not taking this for granted! Sam and I are both enjoying this quiet phase before we have two loud littlies running around the house).

Today's crafty project is a lovely little surprise Easter Basket. The surprise comes when you take the lid off and open the basket to reveal the contents. I found the template for this basket over on Tanya Bell's blog, a very talented Australian Demo. I recommend checking out some of her fantastic tutorials as she has some great 3D item ideas.

Here is the lid off. The lid is decorated using the Floral Fusion Sizzlits Die which is one of my current favourites for Easter. I love how all the flowers fit together in lovely layers. I secured the handle with a Candy Dot Brad Base and a Subtles Candy Dot.

Here is the basket completely opened out. See what I mean by an Easter surprise? I absolutely love this project and the simplicity of creating a little garden within to hold a mini Lindt gold rabbit. I made this one and have tucked it away as an Easter gift for Summer.

To create the grass around the rabbit I used my fantastic new Fringe Scissors. I was a bit hesitant to invest in them to begin with but now I am hooked on using them to create grass borders, perfect for Easter and Spring projects.

A close up on my favourite detail, the choccie rabbit surrounded by daisies created using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and the Heart/Beak from the Owl Punch. The stamping around the edges uses the Heart and Flower stamps within the Banner Blast stamp set (for 7 more days you can get this stamp set for FREE with an order of £45 or more as part of Sale-A-Bration!! Click here for more info).

The colours I have used for this project are:

Chocolate Chip
Crisp Cantaloupe
Crumb Cake
Melon Mambo
Pink Pirouette
Pistachio Pudding
So Saffron
Whisper White

Embellishments:

Subtles & Brights Candy Dots
Subtles & Brights Designer Buttons
Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Stretch Trim

Punches:

Itty Bitty Punch Pack
Scallop Ribbon Border Punch
Owl Builder Punch

Other:

Floral Fusions Sizzlits Die
