A Lotus Blossom Sale-A-Bration 2015 sneak peek from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator, Sarah Poulton

Hello crafters and a very happy last day of 2014 to you all.

I have another quick crafty share for you today. This was the make and take project from the Basingstoke Stampin' Up! Regional Event earlier in the month showcasing the gorgeous Lotus Blossom triple stamping photopolymer stamp set exclusively available through Sale-a-Bration.

I love this single colour layering of the Lotus image. To get the base image we stamped off onto scrap paper once and then used the less inked stamp to create the lightest layer. We then used the layering images in the same tone to give this dimensional finished flower in Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry.

I love how simple and effective this image is and how easy it is to line up (each stamp has an arrow marked on the stamp to making aligning the images super simple).

Only a few days left to wait now, Sale-a-Bration kicks off on Tuesday 6th January. If you'd like a copy of the brochure, drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk and I'll pop one in the post to you.

Thank you so much for popping by today. Thank you for supporting my blog throughout the year and I wish you a very Happy New Year for this evening. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (you can click here and then click shop in the top right corner) or get in touch directly and I'll order them for you. A Simply Wonderful Saleabration 2015 Sneak Peek from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a happy last Monday of 2014 to you.

I hope you had a lovely festive weekend. I am back to work after my maternity leave next week so I am just enjoying my last week at home with my girls before it is back to life as a working mum.

I have another quick Saleabration sneak peek for you this morning. I was lucky enough to win a Prize Patrol at the Basingstoke Regional earlier in the month. This was the stamp set I won, it is a Saleabration freebie stamp set (free with a purchase of £45+ from January 6th onwards) called Simply Wonderful.

This is a card I made for a friend's birthday using a Whisper White Notecard base and Bermuda Bay accents. I used the small flower from the Simply Wonderful stamp set and coloured with my Bermuda Bay and Old Olive Stampin' Write markers and created my own DSP (perfect for making multiple projects from one sheet of stamped card). I think the Stampin' Write marker sets are often overlooked but they are a fantastic and affordable way of getting a whole colour family in one go. And they allow the flexibility to colour your stamps in multiple tones at the same time. A great way to get started with Stampin' Up! and our coordinating colour families.

I layered my stamped banner over Bermuda Bay and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. I then completed my card with roses created using my Spiral Flower Originals Die. I added a Basic Pearl for the centre of each flower for an extra bit of glamour.

Are you as excited as I am about Saleabration and the Spring Summer catalogue launching January 6th? I cannot wait. Who doesn't love a free product reward for buying crafty goodies? If you would like your own copy of the catalogues popped in the post please drop me a line with your address and I will get them in the post to you to peruse at your leisure.

Thank you so much for popping by today. Thank you for supporting my blog throughout the year. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. Saleabration 2015 Lotus Blossom sneak peek from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters and a very Happy Boxing Day to you.

I hope you have had a lovely festive break so far and that your Christmas was full of fun and fabness. It is still so unseasonably sunny and bright here on the Isle of Wight so we started our Christmas Day with a family walk on the beach with my parents and sisters. Summer got to try out her new bike and we all exchanged gifts together before returning to our homes to start our feast cooking. All in all it was a lovely relaxing day. But I am still super tired today. Need a holiday to recover I think.

As promised now Christmas has passed I have some sneak peeks to share with you. The first of my sneak peek projects is this birthday card I made for a crafty friend using the new Saleabration stamp set, Lotus Blossom. For those of you who haven't experienced a Saleabration before, it is the best time of year for Stampin' Up! shopping. From January 6th for every £45 you spend in one transaction you will be able to choose a free stamp set or item from the exclusive Saleabration brochure. There is no limit to how many items you can receive and this year Saleabration has been extended to run right through to the end of March. So that is nearly 3 full months of freebies!

And even more exciting, the Spring Summer catalogue is also released on January 6th so lots of opportunities to receive new crafty products as well as free items. If you would like a free Spring Summer catalogue as well as a Saleabration brochure, I will happily post these out to you to peruse at your leisure. Just drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk with your address details and I'll get these in the post to you.

For this card I used a Crumb Cake base and then stamped the beautiful triple stamping Lotus Blossom stamp set in White Craft Ink, Crisp Cantaloupe and Rose Red. This is a fantastic set of photopolymer stamps. Each stamp is marked with an arrow to show you which way up to stamp the image for easy alignment. You can stamp the image in one colour adding layers of the same colour on top of each other to add detail. Or as I did you choose three different complimentary colours to create the flower.

I added the swirly birthday from the Age Awareness stamp set and embellished with Basic Pearls and Candy Dots. The ribbon is Pear Pizzazz Cotton.

Thank you so much for popping by today. Thank you for supporting my blog throughout the year. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (you can click on the pictures below) or get in touch direct and I'll order them for you.

Seasonally Scatttered Christmas Greetings from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Christmas Eve to all my lovely friends and crafty readers.

Whatever you have planned over the next few days I hope you have a fantastic time and I hope Santa brings you that perfect crafty item for your stash (I wrote a very nice letter asking for a pyrography kit and some polymer clay *fingers crossed*).

My last festive crafty share is this Christmas card I made using Night of Navy cardstock, Silver Glimmer Paper, Vellum and the Seasonally Scattered stamp set.

I stamped my 'Merry' stamp on to a piece of vellum and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. I then turned the vellum over and daubered Night of Navy ink on to the reverse of my image.
I added the 'Christmas' from the Good Greetings stamp set and finished with Basic Rhinestones for extra festive sparkle.

Thank you so much for popping by today and for sharing in the Christmas Eve festivities. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and thank you for supporting my blog throughout the year. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (links above or click on the pictures below) or get in touch direct and I'll order them for you.

Blendabilities Bearing Gifts Christmas Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a very Happy December 22nd to you! How was your weekend? We had a lovely one here on the Isle of Wight. I have been wrapping and making and generally getting last minute things done for the big day! Can you believe its here almost? This year has run away with me! That'll be having a baby I guess. Time has just flown by.

I have another festive make to share today. I have to get in all my Christmas-y projects before I start my Spring Summer sneak peeks from Friday onwards. Today's make uses the Bearing Gifts stamped paired with my Blendabilities markers.

I stamped the main image using my Memento Black ink pad and then coloured and shaded with a variety of my Blendabilities. I used a dauber to sponge the edges of my Whisper White layer with Pool Party ink. I layered my stamped layer on to All is Calm DSP, Wild Wasabi and Pool Party cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment on to Wild Wasabi and cut to the banner shape.

Here is a close up of my Blendabilities colouring and the Frosted Sequin finishing touches.

Thanks for stopping by today. Lovely to have you visit on the lead up to Christmas. I'd love to see your festive makes so please leave me a comment so I can pop by and visit your blogs.

All is Calm Paper Mug for Christmas from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Hello crafty friends. Can you believe it is only 6 days until Christmas? Are you ready? I have all my gifts but haven't even thought about wrapping anything yet (I always leave this to the last possible moment as I am not the world's most accomplished wrapper of gifts!) I also have a couple of pressies to finish off that I am making. Time has really run away with me this year!!

I thought I would share a quick little gift idea that we made at Saturday's card class. I found a tutorial on Youtube for this fab little paper mug made by a Demo friend of mine, Traci. We made the base mug using Naturals White cardstock which we then covered with lovely festive papers from the All is Calm Speciality Designer Series Paper set.

We filled it with a KitKat and a sachet of gingerbread cappucino to celebrate this season of hot drinks on cold nights.

Thank you for popping by today. I'll have another festive creation for you tomorrow. If you have any questions about today's project or the products I have used, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. You can order online direct through my store by clicking the product links below. Festival of Trees Christmas Card Fun from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning lovelies.

Here is the card I tried to share with you last week but somehow got lost in the publishing ether when I tried to schedule it.

This is a gorgeous card inspired by the very talented (and very lovely) Vicky over at Crafting Clare. I loved her clean and simple use of the Festival of Trees stamp set combined with the Typeset Speciality Papers and wanted to give it my own Stampin' Sarah spin.

I used Naturals Ivory card stock layered over a Very Vanilla cardbase. I used my acrylic block to stamp a rectangular background in Whisper White Craft Ink (I loved this naturals layering tone on tone).

For the tree I stamped the Festival of Trees image on to a scrap of Typeset DSP in Mossy Meadow Ink. I then hand cut as the paper is too thin and lovely to be used with the coordinating punch. I then glued to my card and embellished with Brights Candy Dots (I love how these look like bright twinkly tree lights). I then finished by stamping the tree pot in Daffodil Delight and the greeting in Real Red (which I coloured with my Stampin' Write marker so as to only use a section of the sentiment).

Thank you for popping by today. I'll have another festive creation for you tomorrow. If you have any questions about today's project or the products I have used, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. You can order online direct through my store by clicking the product links below.
