A Garden in Bloom Gift Set from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. It is Weekly Deals Day. A perfect time to pick up some bargains including the fab Star Framelits for £18.00. I love these Framelits for all occasions but with Christmas crafting preparations starting very soon these are a great addition to your crafting tool kit.

As promised, I have my Garden in Bloom gift set to share with you today. I made this little thank you set for my weekend party Hostess.

I used Soft Sky, Island Indigo & Marina Mist to stamp the flowers matched with the English Garden Designer Series Papers.

For the sentiment I used the Cottage Greetings stamp set and added Basic Pearls.

I created a matching Thank You tag using the Scalloped Tag Top Punch which I added to the stamped candle I shared on Monday. A simple matching gift set.

A happy summery Sheltering Tree card from Stampin' Up! UK Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a very happy Monday morning to you.

How was your weekend? Hopefully a sunny and productive one ;0)

We are now only 1 day away from the shiny new catalogue. I cannot wait to share all the loveliness contained within its pages. In the mean time, I have a quick and simple summery Sheltering Tree card to share with you this morning. This is such a versatile stamp set (and I can give you a sneaky little bit of insider info, this is carrying over in to the new big catalogue!)

I absolutely love this card. It makes me think of warm sunshine and picnics. It was inspired by this creation I saw on a fellow Demonstrators blog.

Please excuse my deliberate stamping mistake that I tried to hide under my watermark. I made two versions of this card and I must've been tired as I made silly mistakes both times. I accidentally finger printed this one and stamped the bike upside down on the other. But as I've said before, every mistake is just another opportunity for embellishment ;0)

To create this card I used the technique of securing the Whisper White layer to the Blushing Bride base with non permanent adhesive and then stamped the tree and blossom so it covered both layers., I stamped the blossom in Blushing Bride and Rose Red for the two tone effect.

Once the tree was stamped I then removed the Whisper White layer and finished adding the stamped details. It was then secured to the Rose Red layer (cut 0.5cm larger than my Whisper White piece) and then lined up and adhered to the Blushing Bride cardbase. A simple but effective technique.

Saleabration 2015 Lotus Blossom sneak peek from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

 Good morning crafters and a very Happy Boxing Day to you.

I hope you have had a lovely festive break so far and that your Christmas was full of fun and fabness. It is still so unseasonably sunny and bright here on the Isle of Wight so we started our Christmas Day with a family walk on the beach with my parents and sisters. Summer got to try out her new bike and we all exchanged gifts together before returning to our homes to start our feast cooking. All in all it was a lovely relaxing day. But I am still super tired today. Need a holiday to recover I think.

As promised now Christmas has passed I have some sneak peeks to share with you. The first of my sneak peek projects is this birthday card I made for a crafty friend using the new Saleabration stamp set, Lotus Blossom. For those of you who haven't experienced a Saleabration before, it is the best time of year for Stampin' Up! shopping. From January 6th for every £45 you spend in one transaction you will be able to choose a free stamp set or item from the exclusive Saleabration brochure. For this card I used a Crumb Cake base and then stamped the beautiful triple stamping Lotus Blossom stamp set in White Craft Ink, Crisp Cantaloupe and Rose Red. This is a fantastic set of photopolymer stamps. Each stamp is marked with an arrow to show you which way up to stamp the image for easy alignment. You can stamp the image in one colour adding layers of the same colour on top of each other to add detail. Or as I did you choose three different complimentary colours to create the flower.

I added the swirly birthday from the Age Awareness stamp set and embellished with Basic Pearls and Candy Dots. The ribbon is Pear Pizzazz Cotton.
