What I love about the NEW Stampin' Up! Catalogue 2015-2016 by Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Well where do I begin!? The catalogue has been live for 24 hours now and I've received so much positive feedback. I've been kept busy processing everyone's preorders getting them in early to ensure a swift despatch.

As a Demonstrator we have had our copies of the new catalogue to drool over for several weeks now and I love this one more than any of its predecessors. I cannot begin to tell you every minute detail of what I love about this years new products and the catalogue. So I thought I would give you a quick run down of my 5 best highlights.

Starting with this stamp set:

I think From Land to Sea is just about the best stamp set Stampin' Up! have ever produced. There are two things I love about the ocean- turtles and jellyfish. I've loved jellies since writing a school project on them when I was about 10. And turtles are just lovely. So this set is my favourite thing about the new catalogue.

I'm also loving the new In Colors as you will have gathered from my post yesterday. Who wouldn't love a colour called Watermelon Wonder?

Christmas is back in the big catalogue. Sorry to mention the C word in June. But we all know that as crafters it pays to think ahead. And Stampin' Up! have made life easier by including stamps, papers and accessories to make Christmas crafting easy all year round.

As you might have gathered from my recent posts. I am a big fan of Stampin' Up!'s range of kits and projects. I love having a project all ready for me to make with all the elements ready and waiting. This cake stand is my favourite kit from the new catalogue. But it was a closely fought battle as there are so many lovely offerings to choose from.

Stampin' Up! have worked really hard to listen to the feedback of customers and this years catalogue offers more bundles than ever before. Be sure to make a note of any page featuring a bundle as each one means a whopping 15% saving on buying the items individually.

A happy summery Sheltering Tree card from Stampin' Up! UK Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a very happy Monday morning to you.

How was your weekend? Hopefully a sunny and productive one ;0)

We are now only 1 day away from the shiny new catalogue. I cannot wait to share all the loveliness contained within its pages. If you'd like a paper copy posting please drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk and I'll get one straight out to you. We can share in all the crafty loveliness together!

In the mean time, I have a quick and simple summery Sheltering Tree card to share with you this morning. This is such a versatile stamp set (and I can give you a sneaky little bit of insider info, this is carrying over in to the new big catalogue!)

I absolutely love this card. It makes me think of warm sunshine and picnics. It was inspired by this creation I saw on a fellow Demonstrators blog.

Please excuse my deliberate stamping mistake that I tried to hide under my watermark. I made two versions of this card and I must've been tired as I made silly mistakes both times. I accidentally finger printed this one and stamped the bike upside down on the other. But as I've said before, every mistake is just another opportunity for embellishment ;0)

To create this card I used the technique of securing the Whisper White layer to the Blushing Bride base with non permanent adhesive and then stamped the tree and blossom so it covered both layers., I stamped the blossom in Blushing Bride and Rose Red for the two tone effect.

Once the tree was stamped I then removed the Whisper White layer and finished adding the stamped details. It was then secured to the Rose Red layer (cut 0.5cm larger than my Whisper White piece) and then lined up and adhered to the Blushing Bride cardbase. A simple but effective technique.

So just a quick reminder you have today and tomorrow to order from the Spring Summer, Retiring List and the 2014-2015 Annual Catalogue. And tomorrow you can also order from the new Catalogue. We have a one day crossover day where we are all spoilt for so much choice. So be sure to take advantage of all the lovely newness as well as make the most of all the retiring offers.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. A little Cherry On Top sneak peek from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy May 11th. Today is my (not so) little girl's birthday. She is 3 already would you believe? I sat down to make her a birthday card and my mind wandered in to my box of new catalogue sneak peek products. When I picked up the brand new Cherry on Top 6"x6" paper stack I realised the papers were perfect for a 3 year old birthday card.

You can see a few sneak peeks here- new In Colors- Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush. As well as beautiful new In Color Lace Trim Ribbon. I also punched the little flowers from new Cotton Paper (perfect for making and shaping dimensional flowers on cards).

To make my three I traced the large '3' from a font on my computer on to Vellum. I then layered brand new Cherry On Top Washi Tape over the outline. I then cut around it and layered the Vellum 3 on to Watermelon Wonder cardstock. I hand cut around it and then added doodled stitching.

I love the new little paper stacks. 6" square is such a versatile size to work with. And I love the bright colours and designs in this perfect little birthday stack (Cherry on Top). To finish the card I added Cucumber Crush Lace Trim, a button and punched mini stars.

And here is my little monkey celebrating this morning. She was enjoying showing Minion Dave who is boss ;0)
