Sale-A-Bration 2016 New Team Member Gifts from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Morning crafters.

I've been busy creating my little business supply packs and gifts for the new team members who have joined my Inkin' Owls team during Sale-A-Bration so far. I joined Stampin' Up! during Sale-A-Bration 6 years ago and wouldn't look back. I love being involved with the company and have loved seeing my crafting skill and ability change and evolve over the time I've been with Stampin' Up!

This year you can sign up with Stampin' Up! for the usual starter kit price of £99. For that you can choose £160 of current product from either the main or the Spring Summer catalogue. It really is such a great time to sign up- such great value for money. And don't forget you will then benefit from an ongoing 20% discount on all future purchases as a Demonstrator. The great thing about being involved with Stampin' Up! is you can grow your business to a level that suits you. So if joining just for the discount is what you fancy, that is fine. But you can grow a great and profitable business also if that is the opportunity you are looking for.

Can you spot the theme with my team member packs? We are the Inkin' Owls after all.....

Alongside the little packs of crafty goodies I give my new team members I also put together a little business pack of ideas on how to grow your business and get started.

I love my little Pink Owl labels. She is even holding an envelope (we can assume with a handmade card inside!).

Here is a closer look at the contents of the pack including these adorable little owl post in notes with a matching covered notepad.

For more information please have a read through the info on the 'Join My Team' tab above. Or drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249 to ask any questions. I'd love to welcome you to the Inkin' Owls and put one of my team packs in the post to you today ;0)

Thank you for popping by today. Pop back on Monday for more craftiness. I'll be sharing a very special birthday card I made for my Mum. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!).

A Playful Pals Nana Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Have you seen the Playful Pals stamp set in the Spring Summer catalogue? I adore this stamp set and all the possibilities and combinations for creating these little critters. The set is designed to be used with the matching Pyramid Box Framelits but as you can see works perfectly on its own to make cards with.

Today is my Mum's Birthday and I wanted to create a card for my girls to give her. This is the card I came up with- a happy curly birthday lion using elements from the Playful Pals stamp set.

It is so simple to piece these elements together. I simply stamped the lion's face and then added the ovals for the mane. I simply love the curly wurly stamp for adding texture to the mane. I used Crushed Curry and Hello Honey for my main images. I then added black detailing for the stamped face.

The greeting is from the Spring Summer Party Wishes Stamp Set and I added the Nana using my Layered Letters Stamp Set. To finish I simply layered my lion image over So Saffron and Crushed Curry cardstock.

Thank you for popping by today. Pop back on Friday for more craftiness. I'll be sharing some of our card class makes with you next week.. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. I would love to help. A Bright Balloon Celebration Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Hello lovely crafty friends. How was your weekend? I had a lovely time with my card class ladies. I pushed the boat out this month and cooked two fab Waitrose seasonal recipes I'd picked up in store. I baked Orange, Ginger and Date Cookies and a Sweet Potato & Apricot Cake. I don't often have an excuse to bake so really enjoyed making them.

I have a Balloon Celebration card to share today. I absolutely love stamping with this set. It is one of my fun to stamp with favourites. And even better this is one of the great value bundles in the Spring Summer catalogue. The bundle includes the Balloon Punch and matching Balloon Celebration stamp set.

I picked a combination of brights ink pads for my balloons - Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango & Tempting Turquoise. To bring out the contrast between the two layers (the balloons have two stamps- the main image and then the textured layer you stamp over the top giving the spotted effect) I stamped off first when I stamped the main balloon to give a paler tone. I then stamped the textured layer directly over the top.

I then cut a Vellum layer to fit centrally over the balloons. I used the Botanicals for You Sale-A-Bration set to gold heat emboss the sentiment. I attached my vellum layer with four glue dots (one in each corner). I have found this is the most discreet way to adhere vellum without the glue being too noticeable.

Thank you for popping by today. Pop back on Wednesday for more craftiness. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. Going Places with Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Friday. Hooray for the weekend. What do you have planned? I have my monthly card class tomorrow and it feels like an absolute age since I've seen all my ladies so I'm really looking forward to it.

I have a project to share with you today that I created at Convention last year. This was one of our sneak peek make and take projects (the best part of Convention is getting to play with new product and having a little crafty time).

This is again themed around the Going Places suite of products. For this card I used the World Traveller Embossing Folder but instead of embossing with it I inked the inside of the folder with Crumb Cake ink and sandwiched my cardstock inside. You get this great aged/antique effect by using your embossing folders like this.

This project uses the Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack. Such a great set of papers for masculine cards and for more antique-y vintage style crafting. I especially loved the effect of stamping the globe over the top of the DSP.

Thank you for popping by today. Pop back on Monday for more craftiness. I'll be sharing some of our card class makes with you next week.. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. I would love to help. Going Global Embossed Love Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Weekly Deals Wednesday Crafters. Hop on over to my online store to check out this weeks deals, including some great reductions on some 3d item Bigz Dies.

Now on to today's craftiness. I have another Going Global project to share with you today using the full suite of products including the fab World Traveller Textured Impressions Embossing Folder which I used to create the background for this card.

My colour scheme for this card is Mint Macaron, Pool Party and Whisper White. I used my 2" Circle Punch to punch out the globe stamped image which I stamped over with the 'The Love Between Us' sentiment.

I added Subtles Candy Dots to embellish. I used matching tones of blue and green to compliment my colour scheme.

I love the simplicity of this card and I adore this suite of products. There are so many possibilities for this stamp and paper set to make great masculine cards for birthdays and Valentines Day. And Stampin' Up! have made purchasing coordinating products so easy in the Spring Summer catalogue. You could purchase the Going Global stamp set, World Traveller Embossing Folder, Going Places DSP, Going Places Cardstock Pack, a pack of Dimensionals and matching Subtles Candy Dots for £47.00 which would then mean you would qualify for a Sale-A-Bration freebie from the exclusive limited time Sale-A-Bration catalogue. Click on the images below to see these products in more detail.

Thank you for popping by today. Pop back on Friday for another Going Global card project. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. A week of Going Global with Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Monday crafters.

I hope you've had a good week so far. I've been getting to grips with my sewing machine over the weekend. I rustled up a grime guard for my cross stitch frame to stop my fabric getting dusty and dirty. I'll take a picture and share later in the week. I also squeezed a few hours in my craft room watching catch up Christmas TV (Big Fat Quiz of the Year anyone?). I managed to get quite a few cards made alongside some packs for my lovely new team members. I have welcomed three lovely new ladies to my team so far this month. Sale-A-Bration really is such a great time to sign up and join Stampin' Up! Visit the Join My Team tab for more info but in essence you get an additional £30 to spend in your Starter Kit (£99 for £160 worth of products).

I have three projects to share with you this week focusing on the Going Global stamp set from the Spring Summer catalogue. I got to try this stamp set at Convention in November and loved the constellation image straight away. It is such a lovely set with so many potential uses.

My first project uses a Night of Navy and gold theme. I used the constellation stamp to create a background and then heat embossed the globe image and punched with my 2" Circle Punch.

I added Gold Metallic Thread behind my globe image and mounted with Dimensionals. I layered my card front over Champagne Glimmer Paper and Whisper White.

I've also been busy this weekend with a new cross stitching project. I have recently come across Stitch Alongs online. I never knew these existed. I think I might be hooked! I have signed up to the KLT Charting 2016 Owl Stitch Along (SAL). Every fortnight a new owl chart will be released and each person is free to stitch in whichever thread or colours they choose. My first owl has turned out lovely. I love all things bright and owl-y so he makes me very happy ;0) I'll be sure to share more as I go along as this project matches my blog perfectly.

Thank you for popping by today. Pop back on Wednesday for another Going Global card project. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. I would love to help. A Flowering Fields Panel Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Flowering Fields Friday. Today is the final day of my Sale-A-Bration week of sharing and I have two colour versions of the same Flowering Fields panel card to share with you today.

I just adore this stamp set. I love a floral set where you can layer up images and create different textures with your stamping. This is a stamp set worthy of being in the big catalogue and not just available for a limited time during Sale-A-Bration. But amazingly you can receive it for free with a purchase of £45 or more.

To create this card I stamped my floral images across the panel which measured 7cm x 12cm (I stamped using my Memento Tuxedo Black). I coloured this first card direct to the cardstock with my Stampin' Write markers. I then cut my panel in to 3 (each panel is 7cm x 4cm).

I positioned my panels where I wanted them on the card and then stamped my Birthday Blooms sentiment in Tuxedo Black. I then mounted my panels with Dimensionals.

One final detail I added was to colour over the top of my flowers with my Wink of Stella Clear brush pen. This gives a lovely sparkly glimmer to the finished flowers.

I also made a second version using Blender Pens and my ink pads to give a subtler and softer colour combination.

I added Basic Pearls under my Blushing Bride sentiment for a little extra embellishments.

We will be making this card at my Monthly Card Class on Saturday January 23rd. My monthly Saturday classes are £8 for 4 projects and a cuppa at my home in Newport (Isle of Wight) and I would love to meet you and welcome you along. Drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk to book your spot or for more information.

A pair of Honeycomb Happiness Chicks from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning lovelies.

As promised I have a pair of cards I made with the gorgeous Sale-A-Bration freebie stamp set, Honeycomb Happiness. This stamp set has been designed to coordinate with the fab little Honeycomb Embellishments from the Spring Summer catalogue. These embellishments come folded flat and you simply open them out and peel the adhesive from the reverse.

My first card uses the Suite Sayings stamp set paired with the lovely little Honeycomb Happiness chick to create a happy little Easter greeting card.

I stamped in Blushing Bride and So Saffron and matched the inks with cardstock layers.

I paper pieced my chick by Stamping him on to So Saffron cardstock and cutting around him. I added the embellishment for his Blushing Bride coloured chest. The little flowers are from the Botanicals for You Sale-A-Bration set I used earlier in the week. I embellished these with tiny Basic Pearls.

My second card pairs the little chick with new product from the Spring Summer catalogue. I used the Party Wishes stamp set to create my balloon background in Old Olive, Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point. I then stamped my chick on to Pool Party cardstock and fussy cut him again.

I stamped the greeting in Bermuda Bay and positioned my little chick so it looks like he is sat on top of the greeting. I finished the chick with a Mint Macaron Honeycomb Embellishment.

The balloon image is also from the same set as the chick. It is also designed to coordinate with the Honeycomb Embellishments for a little added texture and dimension to your cards.

As it is Wednesday don't forget to hop over and check out the new Weekly Deals. You can choose any of the lovely Sale-A-Bration items with every £45 you spend. Who doesn't love extra freebies with your order? If your order totals £150+, not only will your receive 3 free stamp sets, your order will also qualify for hostess rewards (at least £15 in extra product from any of our catalogues for free, including the exclusive hostess stamp sets featured in the back of all our catalogues).

Thank you for popping by today. I'll be back on Friday with a floral meadow-y card creation. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. I would love to help. A Papercut Botanicals For You Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Monday crafters. I have been doing my best to combat the January blues this weekend by spending some time making super lovely Sale-A-Bration celebration cards. I have a whole week of projects to share with you using the exclusive stamp sets you can receive for free with an order of £45+ during Sale-A-Bration.

My first project of the week uses the Botanicals For You stamp set (designed to coordinate with the Botanical Blooms bundle from the Spring Summer catalogue). And I love a project where I can combine more than one of my crafty interests. For this card I stamped the greeting and the flowers so they each overlapped the other giving one continuous image. I stamped them in Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo and Old Olive.

I then used a craft knife to cut around all the elements of the joined stamped images giving a very delicate paper cut piece which I then mounted using cut up Dimensionals on the reverse. This was very different to my usual papercutting process as I would normally cut on the reverse (cutting a flipped image) on much thinner paper. However, I loved the effect of papercutting using my Stampin' Up! supplies. By mounting with Dimensionals you can see the shadow created by the papercut on the Very Vanilla piece behind.

I finished my card by mounting my paper cut over Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Melon Mambo. I then added Basic Rhinestones to my flowers. Such a fun way to bring together two of my crafting loves.

If you'd like to get hold of your own Botanicals for You stamp set you can receive it for free with a purchase of £45. So if you purchased the matching Botanical Blooms bundle you could receive this stamp set as a bonus for free!! Click the image below for more info on this years lovely Sale-A-Bration extras.

Pop back on Wednesday to see two cards I made with my favourite stamp of this years Sale-A-Bration, the little bird from Honeycomb Happiness. Thank you for popping by today. Pinkies Spring Summer Catalogue Blog Hop with Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Spring/Summer Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

Welcome to the Isle of Wight and my little corner of the Pinkies Blog Hop celebrating the lovely new products from our fantastic new catalogue. If you've hopped here from Linda's blog welcome and I hope you've enjoyed the inspiration shared so far.

Today I have a project inspired by a Patty Bennett creation I glanced past on Pinterest to share with you. I loved the simplicity of using the new Birthday Blooms stamp set in a less obvious way. The heart border stamp is so striking and I chose every Stampin' Up! tone of blue to give an ombre style to my birthday card.

I fussy cut the 'Happiest' to give a little dimension and to allow the sentiment to overhang my 2" punched circle. I added Basic Rhinestones along with a length of Silver 1/8" Ribbon to give a little extra texture and sparkle.

Thank you for joining me on the hop today. Pop over to Sue's blog to continue the Spring Summer inspiration.

A Party Wishes Celebration from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty friends and welcome to a new Spring Summer catalogue day.

The catalogue and Sale-A-Bration only launched yesterday and I have already welcomed a new team member and placed a little order to get my hands on another of the fantastic Sale-A-Bration freebie stamp sets.

I got a little crafty time last night with both the girls in bed early. Here is a birthday card I created using the Party Wishes stamp set. Would you believe I measured and taped my mask carefully to allow me to stamp the strip and it still ended up wonky! But that is the beauty of crafting. Not everything turns out perfectly. I still loved the overall effect of the card.

I started by masking the strip along the bottom of the card and stamping the cakes, balloons, candles and confetti in Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and Tempting Turquoise. I then used a Sponge Dauber to add Daffodil Delight over the top to define my masked strip a little better.

To finish I added the sentiment in Pumpkin Pie and stamped the balloons (I hand drew the strings with my Pacific Point Stampin' Write Marker). I added three Brights Candy Dots along the bottom.

If you'd like a copy of the new catalogue to peruse at your own leisure, drop me a line with your address on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk and I'll get one in the post to you asap.

Check out all the details of the current Sale-A-Bration promotion by clicking the image below.

I'll be taking part in the Pinkies Team blog hop tomorrow evening so be sure to pop back to join in a fun Spring Summer inspiration hop. Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. I would love to help.
