Sale-A-Bration 2016 New Team Member Gifts from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Morning crafters.

I've been busy creating my little business supply packs and gifts for the new team members who have joined my Inkin' Owls team during Sale-A-Bration so far. I joined Stampin' Up! during Sale-A-Bration 6 years ago and wouldn't look back. I love being involved with the company and have loved seeing my crafting skill and ability change and evolve over the time I've been with Stampin' Up!

This year you can sign up with Stampin' Up! for the usual starter kit price of £99. For that you can choose £160 of current product from either the main or the Spring Summer catalogue. It really is such a great time to sign up- such great value for money. And don't forget you will then benefit from an ongoing 20% discount on all future purchases as a Demonstrator. The great thing about being involved with Stampin' Up! is you can grow your business to a level that suits you. So if joining just for the discount is what you fancy, that is fine. But you can grow a great and profitable business also if that is the opportunity you are looking for.

Can you spot the theme with my team member packs? We are the Inkin' Owls after all.....

Alongside the little packs of crafty goodies I give my new team members I also put together a little business pack of ideas on how to grow your business and get started.

I love my little Pink Owl labels. She is even holding an envelope (we can assume with a handmade card inside!).

Here is a closer look at the contents of the pack including these adorable little owl post in notes with a matching covered notepad.

For more information please have a read through the info on the 'Join My Team' tab above. Or drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249 to ask any questions. I'd love to welcome you to the Inkin' Owls and put one of my team packs in the post to you today ;0)

Thank you for popping by today. Pop back on Monday for more craftiness. I'll be sharing a very special birthday card I made for my Mum. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, Sale-A-Bration or any of our new products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!).

Join my fabulous team of stampers, The Island Inkers, for just £50!

Lots of exciting things to share with you this morning. I forgot to mention in my earlier posts that with every customer order placed in June, you will receive one of these fab new In Color bookmarks as a thank you. Aren't these colours lovely? Mossy Meadow makes me feel all Christmas-y and Blackberry Bliss makes me hungry ;0)

If you read my blog regularly you will know I have a fab team of Stampin' Up! stampers and that we meet regularly for a crafty shoebox swap. Well one of my lovely teamies, Lorraine, recently had a little girl (only 10 weeks or so between our bubbas!) and to celebrate her new arrival, I made this card (it was inspired by a card I'd seen over on Stampin' Pretty).

The colour scheme is Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White and Crumb Cake. There is a sneaky tiny amount of paper piecing on this card to create the bows on the little shoes. These were stamped using the Baby, We've Grown stamp set. The flowers were stamped and punched with the Petite Petals bundle. To finish I added pearls (one of which I now notice is missing!).

Growing and supporting my team of Demonstrators, the Island Inkers, is one of my favourite things about being involved with Stampin' Up!. I have made such great friends through crafting and I love being able to share and meet up regularly with them. I love to encourage them in building their businesses as well as celebrating their fantastic successes.

If you'd like to get involved and Join My Team, I would love to welcome you. You don't have to live locally to become an Island Inker as I am able to provide one to one support and assistance over the phone and via Skype. Plus, with the fantastic country wide events offered by Stampin' Up! I am regularly able to touch base with team members away from the Isle of Wight.

This is a perfect time to join Stampin' Up! as they are currently running the Join for £50 promotion and with the new catalogue just around the corner you are joining at one of the most exciting times in the Stampin' Calendar!

Please drop me a line if you'd like to find out more or click here to sign up directly online.

Tulip Matchbox with Stampin' Up! Blessed Easter Stamp Set

Good morning and a very happy new crafty week to you.

What did you get up to this weekend? I spent the day at a Retro and Vintage Fayre yesterday promoting both Stampin' Up! and my South Hill Designs jewellery business. I met some really lovely people and Sylvie even got to chat to a lady with the same name. We had a fun day and lots of interest in the Retiring List and locket making too.

Today's crafty make is a matchbox made with the Envelope Punch Board created for my May card class. I saw a beautiful swap made for the recent Stampin' Up! incentive trip which used the tulip image from the Blessed Easter stamp on top of a matchbox so set about creating my own version. I used this tutorial video for the basic measurements and shape. I used the In Color Designer Series Paper Stack for the drawer and the In Color Coredinations Cardstock (currently reduced to £7.67 as part of the Retiring List) for the outer box.

The inside was stamped with the tulip image to give a little extra decoration.

The Blessed Easter stamp is only available to purchase for another month (not available after June 30th). When I mounted the stamp I cut the sentiment and mounted separately so that I could stamp the flowers on their own. This allows me to use the stamp all year round. If this is a stamp you have had your eye on, get your order in soon before Blessed Easter is gone for good.

A little something different

Last night my family, some family friends, Sam, Summer and I all went along to a newly opened restaurant local to us in Ryde (Isle of Wight) called The Three Buoys. We took my Dad there for a birthday treat. This a brand new venture for a friend of my sisters and her husband and as the restaurant only opened officially on Friday we went along to show our support (the restuarant is named for their three young sons! Such a clever play on words!).

My Mum and sister has seen this card on Pinterest and thought it would make a perfect congratulations/good luck card for the couple starting out in their new business so I set about recreating it for them to give yesterday evening. The card is one sheet of A4 Whisper White folded in half. I then created layers using Baja Breeze & Marina Mist to give the card added dimension. The top layer is made from Baja Breeze embossed with the clouds folder in the Spring Summer catalogue. The lower half is Marina Mist (I dragged a Whisper White Craft ink pad over to give the effect of the sea and then drew the crests of the waves using my White Gel Pen). I used some offcuts of Early Espresso Coredinations cardstock which I crumpled and sanded for the posts and tied Linen Thread around the top. The Gull was created using the Bird Punch and a dauber with Crumb Cake ink. All in all a perfect good luck card for a restaurant by the sea.

And as for our meal, well is was just lovely. I am a big fan of eating out and seafood so the combination came together perfectly at Three Buoys. The food was on the pricier side but my Asian Battered Sea Trout with Asian Coleslaw and Sticky Soy Dip was worth every penny! And don't even get me started on my luxury Mojito. I'll definitely be returning for brunch and to try their afternoon tea too. If you are local to the Isle of Wight or just thinking of taking a trip here one day, I'd consider giving the restaurant a visit.

Hope you are all having a lovely Bank Holiday and getting time to enjoy this beautiful weather.
