Stampin' Up! UK Happy Watercolor In Colour Crafting

Good morning crafters.

A very happy Friday to you. It is so nearly the weekend. I hope wherever you are you have lots of lovely crafty plans for the days ahead. We are celebrating my Mum's birthday this weekend so taking a trip to the 'big island' tomorrow for a Starbucks and a bit of crafty shopping. Might even sneak a quick trip to some baby shops to start preparing for my imminent arrival.

I have another sneak peak project card to share with you today. Only 4 days to wait till the launch of the new catalogue and Sale-A-Bration. I cannot wait! So many lovely new products to create with.

This project is a card we made in my class last weekend and uses the Happy Watercolour stamp set from the new Spring Summer catalogue. This is a super clever stamp set as it contains this background stamp set that is designed to give this graduated watercolour effect. I love the simplicity of this layered brushstroke effect and it creates such a striking background.

After creating the background watercolour effect using Pool Party, Strawberry Slush and Pistachio Pudding, we then stamped the two floral images using the Flower Shop stamps (and matching Pansy Punch) from the main 2013-2014 catalogue and the new Petite Petals stamps (and matching punch) from the Spring Summer catalogue. We layered these floral stamped images and finished with a large basic pearl.

And a quick reminder, you only have 3 days left to order any of the exclusive Valentines stamps and products in the 'Whole Lot of Love' promotion. Please see my 'Promotions' tab above or click on the picture below to be linked to my online store. I have stocked up on the gorgeous little Monster Hugs for crafting with Summer. I just adore their little chocolatey hugs (and cute little bottoms too. See this post for more info).

Thank you for stopping by this morning. Please pop back tomorrow to join me in a Pinkies team blog hop. It all starts at 8am so hop on over to see lots of lovely blog hop inspiration using upcoming Sale-A-Bration products.

If you have any Stampin' Up! questions or would like to find out more about hosting a party or placing an order please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. Or you can visit my online store using the following address:

Flower Shop Scrapbooking

Good morning lovely crafters ;0)
Well what an adventure our scrapbooking class turned in to last night. Would you believe we had a power cut? Luckily we'd completed one page and most of another and so all the ladies managed to take home the component parts to finish the page at home (it was dark by this point and we had to do the orders and cheque writing in a very dark haze!!)

But we got there!

Unfortunately the power cut out during my recording of The Apprentice Final (already seen the headline on the news! Shocked at the result!) so it was an early night for us and a catch up tonight on IPlayer.

So here is our second page of the evening. It is another page inspired by our beautiful new In Colours; Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush & Baked Brown Sugar. I used the Designer Series Paper Stack for the patterned elements (the label behind the photo is cut from a matching sheet in the Afternoon Picnic DSP) and also created texture using the fab In Color Coredinations cardstock. The background stamping uses A Round Array in Whisper White. The floral embellishments were stamped with Flower Shop and punched with the coordinating Pansy punch. The final details are the butterflies stamped with Papillon Potpourri and punched with the matching butterfly punches.

Products used:

Stamps:   A Round Array (129087 £16.95 / 129090 £13.95)
                         Papillion Potpourri (132058 £16.95 / 123759 £13.95)
Bundle: Flower Shop (132727 £31.75 / 132725 £28.25)

Thanks for popping by today. Just to let you know I have one final spot left for my new hostess club. All orders to be received by July 25th to qualify. Please get in touch if you'd like all the benefits of joining the club: poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249.

In Colour scrapbooking: Life's a Breeze

Good morning and welcome to a new stamping crafty week here at Stampin' Sarah!

I finally got the chance to sit down and do a bit of scrapbooking last night. I am planning some projects for this month's scrapbooking class (Wednesday 17th 7pm). Here is one of the pages I created last night. Three of my scrapping ladies are mainly scrapping cruise photos so I was looking to create something that would be suitable for summer-y photos as well as fitting a cruise theme also.

For this I used a Very Vanilla 12"x12" base card coupled with Bermuda Bay & Coastal Cabana accessories. The patterned DSP is from the 2013-2015 In Colour Paper Stack, the label is cut using the Apothecary Accents Framelits from Coastal Cabana Coredinations card, and the button embellishment is from the In Color Boutique Details (fab! Page 169).

I created the background using a post it note and cutting a cloud shape from it. I then used a sponge and Soft Sky ink to sponge around the edges of the cloud mask. I did this all around the page to create the cloud effect.

The stamping is the globe from The Open Sea and the Cotton Ribbon is stamped using Burnt Brown Sugar and the compass from the same stamp set.

I am absolutely in love with all our new Stampin' Up! colours, especially the new In Colors, and loved using the blues to create this page.

If you'd like to find out more about the products or find out more about my classes or placing an order, please get in touch either via email: poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or phone: 01983 609249.

Thanks for popping by today and happy Tuesday crafting ;0)

I have a couple of crafty projects to share with you this morning. Both showcasing lovely new stamps and punches from the new annual catalogue.

The first card is our Make and Take project from last weekends Open House. I wanted to showcase the fantastic Mosaic Madness Bundle in all its coordinating glory.

This card uses the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder, the fantastic Quatrefancy Speciality Designer Series Paper, the Mosaic Madness stamp set and coordinating Mosaic Punch. We also embellished with tiny flowers punches using the Itty Bitty Punches set. The colour scheme showcases the lovely new 2013-2015 In Colours, Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush & Coastal Cabana.

A lovely quick and easy card to use lots of lovely new product and fun for us to create during my crafty Open House.

The picture below showcases all the fabulous Mosaic Products:

The second project for today is this quick and simple Thank You notelet I created as my workshop thank you card for my lovely July customers.

It uses a Daffodil Delight card based coupled with Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper and then a label stamped and punched using the Label Love bundle of products. Thank you to all the lovely ladies who have ordered from me this month.
And for more handmade treats, I still have a couple of spaces available for my new Hostess Virtual Club (Stampers 10) club. I have an extra special handmade gift for anyone signing up and then you will receive all the perks of the club for the next 10 months. For more info please click here

A Cup of Thanks

Here is another of our card class makes for the month. This card was inspired by a card and technique I had seen over on the fantastic Monica Gale's blog earlier in the year. This uses the fab Tea Shoppe stamp set which was a popular feature of our Spring Summer Catalogue. Now a little bird told me this may be returning in the new Annual Catalogue so I don't mind sharing a project made with the set.

The colours are our new In Colours Midnight Muse and Raspberry Ripple (with added Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla for extra flavour- sounds like a rather delicious ice cream sundae if you ask me!). The technique is the faux tile effect created using the scoring board and stamping over the scored tiles. I created the background using the En Francais background stamp with Crumb Cake ink.

I hope your week has started well. Lots of exciting things happening here on the Isle of Wight. I have been making final preparations for a Pinkies team blog hop which is happening on Saturday morning. Please pop back then to see all the lovely projects made by the team ;0)

In the mean time, happy crafting ;0)

An Everyday Enchantment Hostess Thank You

I just wanted to share with you today a Hostess Thank You gift I made for my lovely hostess Andrea last week. I had seen this set on Pinterest and wanted a good reason to recreate it. So when I set about coming up with a Hostess thank you I thought this would be perfect, and it fits perfectly with this months Everyday Enchantment promotion.

Here is the thank you card I made using Tea Shoppe stamp set and the Everyday Enchantment papers. The colour scheme is Peach Parfait, Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade.

I created this teabag dispenser and filled it with calming fruit teas. This again is focused around the colours in the Everyday Enchantment paper and the stamp is from Tea Shoppe. The ribbon is Peach Parfait Poly Stitched.
Here is a close up of the tea bag dispenser details. The flower on the top is made from two paper daisies stamped with Calypso Coral and Peach Parfait and sponged around the edges. The centre of the flower is an Antique Brad.

If you have any questions or would like to take advantage of this months fantastic free ribbon and brad promotion please get in touch directly on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249.

Happy crafting ;0)

Sale-A-Bration Scrapbooking

Here is the first of our Stampin' Scrappin' layouts for this month.  I used the current In Colours and the Sale-A-Bration Everyday Enchantment papers as my inspiration. I love how the Aviary stamped images and the punched bird match the tiny birds incorporated in the paper design.

The more colourful the layout the more I love it. So this months class was fun for me to design as it used so many big bright colours: Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Calypso Coral &  Peach Parfait. The page was embellished with a few basic pearls and a strip of Daffodil Delight ribbon.

I'll share the second layout tomorrow. In the mean time, happy crafting to all ;0)

Sale-A-Bration Celebration

I so wish I could take credit for todays creation. However, this is another of the incredibly talented Vicky's cards from over on her Crafting Clare blog. The moment I saw this I fell in love with the design. Not only does it use my favourite colour of the moment, Pool Party, but it uses a favoured technique too (a technique I hadnt tried until I noticed Vicky use it- creating a post-it mask and sponging the uncovered area).

This card is simply stunning and uses a combination of techniques from clear embossing, sponging, colouring and finally using the mat pack and paper pricking tool to create the faux stitched effect. Here is a close up of the clear embossed sentiment and sponged panel.

This uses the 'Celebrate' from Outlined Occasions which i have then embellished with minature flowers punched from the Itty Bitty Punch Shapes pack (Pool Party and Pacific Point) and tiny Basic Pearls. So simple but so effective.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you'll pop back tomorrow for the final card of the week ;0)

Happy Crafting in the meantime ;0)

More customer thank yous

So another Stampin' Up! week begins. I took delivery of last weeks workshop order yesterday and needed to come up with a new 'thank you' design for my customers. This is the card I came up with. I needed it to be quick and simple as I needed to reproduce it 9 times over. As it happens, it was a touch more complicated than I would have liked (the colouring of the 'thanks' was the most time consuming). But I love the overall effect. And this years In Colours are just too lovely used all together like this.

The two stamp sets I used for this are both Sale-A-Bration sets, Outlined Occasions and Fresh Vintage. The colours are: Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade. The butterflies were cut with my Big Shot and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die. Each card is slightly different as I used the butterflies differently on each card (cut with Calypso Coral). To finish I embellished with super sparkly Stampin' Up! rhinestones.

Hope you are keeping well and I have three more cards to share this week so I hope you'll pop by again.

Happy Crafting ;0)

Another sour cream container

Just a quickie today as I'll be on my way to Make It as you read this. Mum and I are headed to the mainland for a late birthday treat. I do love a good craft show and the chance to browse all those lovely bits and bobs.

Above is the door prize for Wednesday's workshop. I am a little addicted to sour cream containers again. They are just so effective. And they look so lovely made with the gorgeous (and free) Sale-A-Bration Everyday Enchantment Designer Papers. I filled this one with some lovely SU goodies (to find out what is in there, please book a workshop with me and I'll share all ;0) and finished it with a Stampin' Write marker (Lucky Limeade) tied with Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon.

This design is my favourite paper from the set. I love the little butterfly in the print (so much so that I had to punch a tiny circle with the butterfly in the middle for the tab embellishment).

Right, thats all for today. Happy Friday all and hopefully I'll get time over the weekend to share a few more card projects with you that I have been working on.

Hostess Thank You

Here is a gift I made for my lovely new Hostess last week. I haven't made a sour cream container for a little while so thought it would be perfect to combine with the Everyday Enchantment Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Papers. I used the same papers to match the thank you card we made at last months card class. The small tag is punched using Tiny Tags and finished with a metallic brad. I filled the sour cream container with a mini Stampin' Up! starter collection (Dimensionals, buttons, ribbon, brads) as I wanted to showcase a lot of our lovely coordinating embellishments for a new group of crafting ladies.

And hoorah for some good light finally. So pleased I managed to get some realistic colour shots of these beautiful papers. They compliment the current In Colours so nicely (and Pool Party is my new favourite colour to craft with).

A Scrapbooking Sneaky Peak

I thought I would share a scrapbooking layout I designed for a Stampin' Up! competition for Demonstrators. Our brief was to only use current product (meaning it had to be products moving over into the new catalogue). So I chose the new In Colours as my focus for this page. The Lucky Limeade base colour matches the sunny photos of my Kala perfectly.

The embellishments were all stamped using Circle Circus and the In Colours (Pool Party, Island Indigo, Calypso Coral & Wisteria Wonder).
The title was stamped using my favourite Broadsheet Alpha stampset.

I have embellished with a Subtles Button and a large basic pearl.
I have layered the Circle Circus images on top of each other and embellished with buttons from both the Brights and Subtles collections. All of these circles were punched with the coordinating sized circle punches (including the scalloped circle).
The final embellishment was punched in Wisteria Wonder using the Tab punch. I then stamped the small heart from Tiny Tags and embellished with a line of basic pearls.
Hope you enjoyed this little sneak peak into the new catalogue and that you are loving the new In Colours as much as me (I cannot stop stamping using Pool Party- makes me want to pack up and take a sunny holiday somewhere). If you'd like to book a place at my Catalogue Launch Open House on October 1st, i still have spaces available for the 1-3pm session (£4 to include refreshments and a new catalogue). Just get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249.

Wedding Acceptance

Here is a simple wedding acceptance card I have made for my friend who is getting married in August. I saw a similar card on Julie Kettlewell's blog and thought I would adapt it for my acceptance note. I had to add the hearts raised on dimensionals as I had an inkage issue (I somehow smudged the P down the white C/S). I am going to have a go later at making another version of this for a September wedding I am going to (I also made the wedding invitations for the September nuptuals so I am going to tie my acceptance in with the invite theme).

Uses:
Colour scheme: Poppy Parade & Not Quite Navy
In Colour DSP Paper Stack
Basic Rhinestones
Stamps: Broadsheet Alpha, Just Perfect Alpha
Punch: Heart To Heart
Other: Dimensionals

And to tie in with the Poppy Parade theme of this post here is a picture from my garden. These poppies started sprouting up in the gaps between my paving. I didn't have the heart to dig them out so left them to grow into these beautiful (if not massively huge and space taking up) flowers.

Happy Friday Crafting ;0)

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

Well this is my contribution to the fantastic What's On Your Workdesk over on Julia's blog. This is my celebration of that fact that I actually now have a workdesk. Its not so tidy or at all functional. It is a work in progress. But i finally have somewhere to keep my crafting bits and pieces and a room to create in. Hooray!!!

I finally sold the big bulky bunkbeds taking up unnecessary space in my spare room which has given me the room to finally get a desk and few bits of crafty storage. You can see from this photo that I havent got so far with unpacking (I started a new job Monday which leaves me little time or energy!). The big box contains all my Stampin' Up! stamps from downstairs. I had to unpack my craft cupboard so it could be moved upstairs. You can also see I've already solved my stamp pad problem in the background. They fit perfectly in this old bathroom shelf that my Dad painted for me. I've also moved the essentials- my Cricut and printer!!

Here is my actual workdesk. I half inched it from my recently retired Dad's office. It is glass topped and I have a plan for this desk. I am planning a huge scrapbooking layout in a patchwork style to lie under the frosted glass. But in the meantime I was playing with my Stampin' Up! In Colour Designer Series Paper and decided to make the desk more colourful with it. It isnt perfect. Sam and I tried loads of times to straighten the sheets, but everytime we let go of the glass they just did their own thing. So I kept the messy look.
So thats this weeks workdesk for you. Hopefully by next week I might have something a little more creative to share (and not just a box and some mess!).

Happy crafting ;0)

Sale-A-Bration Good Luck

Been working on a few cards and LOs this evening. I made this card for two colleagues who are leaving the office next week. Wanted to make something from the office to wish them well with their new venture.

For this I used Wild Wasabi, Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz (including the In Colour DSP stack). I also used the Punch Bunch and So Happy For You Sale-A-Bration stamp sets for the owls and sentiment. (The red is my table cloth and not part of the card!)

If you'd like any further info about Stampin Up or Sale-A-Bration, please do not hesitate to get in touch: poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249.

In Colour Thank Yous....

My Stampin' Up! order arrived today bearing lots of lovely new bits and bobs. Cannot wait to get started playing with the sparkly paper. I can see my Christmas journal and Christmas cards having a lovely bit of Stampin' Up! bling to them this year ;0)

It also contained the items I ordered for the lovely ladies I met at my Open House at the weekend. So I sat down and made two In Colour inspired thank you notes as I'm really falling in love with these 5 colours (I am working on my In Colour swaps for convention at the moment and absolutely love these Designer Series Papers and Poly Ribbons).

For this little 3"x3" notelet I used Poppy Parade cardstock and Concorde Crush DSP accessorised with the C/C stitched poly ribbon and the Curly Cute Thank You sentiment. I cannot get enough of the new Scallop Trim Border Punch. I use this with all my projects at the moments.

I have so many ideas of things I want to make and do and try out. Hopefully this will mean a busy time blogging everything in the not too distant future. The lead up to Christmas is my favourite crafting time of year. I love putting together all my Christmas cards together and making items to give as gifts. This year, with Stampin' Up! now a firm part of my life, I have the added fun of being able to share Christmas crafting with friends and fellow crafters. I am so looking forward to completing the latest 'Me In 2010' Wight Craft Circle scrap challenge as this year has been full of challenges but overall I have met many new friends and I am now sharing crafting and doing something I really love and enjoy.

If you'd like to host a workshop or place a Stampin' Up! order or even just have a crafty chat, please do not hesitate to get in touch: poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 609249.
