A Swirly Bird Celebration from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafty lovelies. How has your week been? We spent a lovely week in the New Forest last week. We hired a caravan for the week and enjoyed swimming, a bit of sunshine and exploring the forest as well as a day out at Peppa Pig World which the girls loved.

I have a card created with the Swirly Bird bundle paired with the gorgeous new In Colors. I love the versatility and simplicity of this card. I used the swirly die cut as the base for my wreath. I then stamped and hand cut my elements which I then mounted over the wreath with dimensionals. I finished with tiny basic pearls.

I stamped the Celebrate from Thoughtful Banners as my sentiment.

A layered Butterfly Basics card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Friday. As you read this we will be packing up our bags and tidying our caravan after a week in the New Forest (taking advantage of Summer not being in school quite yet to take cheaper breaks out of school holiday times!). I hope you've had a lovely week. I scheduled this post for you so cannot fill you in on our adventures quite yet. I also packed a fair amount of crafting but if past experience tells me anything it is that none of it even made it out of my craft bag ;0)

So today's crafty share is a card we made a couple of months back in my monthly card class. We used Butterfly Basics to create this artsy layered card. I wanted to show my class all the different colour tones you could get using just one stamp pad. For this card we only used Elegant Eggplant with a combination of direct stamping, stamping off and sponging.

To create this card we started by clear embossing the fern image on to our Whisper White base.  We then layered up the various images from the stamp set over the top of to get this layered purple toned effect. The key is to do all your stamping and to then use a tissue to remove any excess ink from your embossed areas to get the bright white colour showing through for contrast.

To finish the card we added a Blushing Bridge Glimmer butterfly and rhinestones for sparkle.

A Wedding Wishes Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning lovely crafters. How goes your week so far?

My sister was a bridesmaid at the weekend for a school friend and asked me to make a wedding card for the happy couple.

I knew the colour scheme for the bridesmaids was a dark purple so I created this card using Elegant Eggplant highlights with Very Vanilla for the main base and top layer.

I used my Floral Affection and Fluttering Embossing Folders to emboss pieces of Very Vanilla cardstock which I then used to punch two Sweetheart shapes. I layered the hearts over my wrapped Linen Thread.

For my final details I added a Linen Thread bow to my floral heart. I then stamped the 'Wedding Wishes' from the Rose Wonder stamp set and added a few tiny pearls for added sparkle.

A Marquee Messages Father's Day Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Happy Monday my lovelies. How was your weekend? Get up to anything crafty? I had my June card class on Saturday which was a fun afternoon. It was a smaller class than normal so we had lots of time for chatting and catching up as well as crafting. It was a fab way to spend a rainy Isle of Wight afternoon.

Now on to today's crafty share. I am not ashamed to admit I am a little obsessed with the Marquee Messages stamp set in our lovely new Annual Catalogue. I've always loved paper piecing my stamped images and this Vegas style neon sign lends itself to piecing the colours together (I would even go so far as to say maybe I should have pieced the 'You Are' too). I thought it would be the perfect stamp to create a Father's Day card for my Dad.

I used mixed Subtles cardstock and stamped the marquee image three times adding the 'You Are' and 'Awesome' to the banners. I then cut around each section and pieced back together.

I added the Happy Father's Day using my Thoughtful Banners stamp set (Photopolymer so super easy to line up).

And to finish I added lots of little rhinestones to the arrow to add a bit of sparkle.

I also created a card with my girls for them to give Sam for Father's Day. This one wasn't so Stampin' Up! focused. I'd seen a card on Pinterest that used scrabble tiles for a simple but effective card. I was in The Works last week and on the counter they had packs of Father's Day scrabble tiles so this card was born from luck and good timing. I made it using a folded A4 piece of Crumb Cake which gave Summer plenty of room to write inside.

An Affectionately Yours Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning lovelies. How is your week going? I've been busy prepping for my card class this weekend. I've been having great fun with all the new loveliness from the catalogue and especially the Foxy Friends stamp set and matching punch (I love this combo!).

Today's crafty share is a project we made at Telford as one of our Make & Takes on the day. This was designed to showcase the Affectionately Yours Product Suite as it combines the Floral Affection Embossing Folder with the matching stamps and designer series paper. I used the Telford project as my inspiration for this card that we made at a recent card class.

My favourite detail on this card is the copper embossing powder used for the sentiment. The copper embossing powder picks up on the copper highlights in the Designer Series Paper. It gives a lovely extra bit of glamour and texture to the card.

A Botanical Builders Birthday from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning lovely crafters.

What a weekend it has been. I took the girls to the Isle of Wight music festival. I think it was all a bit overwhelming for them but Summer soon warmed up to all the noise and enjoyed dancing and exploring. They both certainly slept well after two days of music and fun and mini pancakes. It really was a fantastic weekend. I love being able to walk 10 minutes down the road and be in the midst of such an incredible event. And it was all rounded off last night with Queen and Adam Lambert as the headliners. They knocked a lot of great performers off my ''best festie' list to take the number 2 spot in all time greatest act list (I don't think anyone will be able to take the number 1 spot from Pink!). We are having a quiet one today to recover. As I write this I have two girlies snuggled up on the sofa with me watching Mr Tumble.

I have a card to share today from last month's card class. This was inspired by a creation I'd seen out on the blogosphere but I cannot find the original card to credit the Demonstrator who created it. The original used masking to create the strip through the middle for the sentiment. For my class we simply stamped the Botanical Blooms in the background and then added a strip of Whisper White over the top for the sentiment.

To create our tropical background we used the various Botanical Blooms leaf stamps with Pear Pizzazz ink. Through a combination of direct stamping and stamping off and stamping we created the different shades and tones of green.

The sentiment from Cottage Greetings was stamped in Pear Pizzazz and the strip of Whisper White added over the top of the background stamping.

We then added the three flowers cut using the Botanical Builders Framelits. I have just realised the three colours we used for the flowers are retired In Colors. However, these flowers would look lovely in any colour combo. I think the new In Colors would add a perfect tropical twist to the colour scheme.

To finish I added Rhinestones to the centre of each flower.

I couldn't resist sharing a quick pic of my two at the festival over the weekend. And let me just share that those ice creams cost more than the same weight in gold I'm sure. Good job they enjoyed them ;0)

A Swirly Bird Boat Thank You Note from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning lovelies.

How is your week going? What beautiful weather we are having. The Isle of Wight is positively beaming with sunshine. I am keeping my fingers crossed the sunshine holds out for the weekend and the Isle of Wight Festival. I haven't been for a few years now and I am so looking forward to some good live music (Queen with Adam Lambert are headlining on Sunday. I am super excited!).

Over last weekend I demonstrated for two groups of lovely ladies showing them all the loveliness of the new Stampin' Up! catalogue. I chose the Swirly Bird bundle for our make and take (which I will share with you later in the week). I wanted to demonstrate how versatile the stamp set is so created my hostess thank you note with the same set. I came up with this sea scene.

I used a Whisper White Notecard as my base and stamped the swoosh from the Painter's Palette stamp set in Night of Navy, Marina Mist and Pool Party for the ombre style sea. I then stamped the sun in Daffodil Delight and Watermelon Wonder  (I stamped the middle circle on scrap paper and cut around it and raised on a dimensionals).

I stamped the boat on to scrap paper. I pieced the boat together using the various stamps in the Swirly Bird stamp set. I stamped using Mint Macaron, Dapper Denim and Watermelon Wonder. The final touch is the Thank You from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set (I love a handwritten style sentiment).
