A Wedding Wishes Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning lovely crafters. How goes your week so far?

My sister was a bridesmaid at the weekend for a school friend and asked me to make a wedding card for the happy couple.

I knew the colour scheme for the bridesmaids was a dark purple so I created this card using Elegant Eggplant highlights with Very Vanilla for the main base and top layer.

I used my Floral Affection and Fluttering Embossing Folders to emboss pieces of Very Vanilla cardstock which I then used to punch two Sweetheart shapes. I layered the hearts over my wrapped Linen Thread.

For my final details I added a Linen Thread bow to my floral heart. I then stamped the 'Wedding Wishes' from the Rose Wonder stamp set and added a few tiny pearls for added sparkle.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, or any of our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!).

Sneak Peak Scrapbooking Part 2

Here is the second of our April scrapbook pages. Again this uses some sneak peak items from the Summer Mini including the Twitterpated Designer Fabric (cut using the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die to create the layered fabric flower embellishment), Bordering on Romance stamp set and the Blushing Bride Pleated Ribbon.

The colour scheme is Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze, Whisper White and Blushing Bride. I used  a large scallop circle template to create the Whisper White circle (which I cut out by hand) which we then stamped to create a matching self designed designer series paper.

If you'd like to find out more about any of these products or get hold of a copy of the Summer Mini, please get in touch on 01983 609249 or poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk. I'll happily help with any Stampin' Up! query ;0)

A final wedding card

Good morning all. Not sure whats got me up so early this morning. But as I am awake I thought I would share a new project with you. This Saturday is the final of my three summer weddings this year. I am safe to put this on my blog a bit early as I am sure the Bride and Groom have much more pressing matters to deal with than surf my blog ;0)

I made this card with the left overs from the wedding invites. If you see this post you can see that I have themed the wedding card with both the acceptance and invites that I made for them. They were so pleased with their invites that I wanted to tie in the additional cards I made for them (I also have one final project themed in the Cajun Craze, So Saffron, More Mustard, Early Espresson colour scheme to share. But that will have to wait until next week....)

To create this card I used a base of More Mustard and added Cajun Craze and stamped layers to this.  The leaf stamp is unfortunately from a retired Hostess Set from 2009-2010. I stamped the 'Congratulations' from Curly Cute in Chocolate Chip and added a length of Early Espresso ribbon. The hearts were punched with the Heart to Heart punch (the tiny Kraft letters are not SU but from my scrapbooking stash. They were the smallest letters I could find to add a tiny monogram). And finally I embellished with a length of linen thread and two tags stamped with 'Mr & Mrs' and 'Love' from Tiny Tags.

Really pleased with the result. I think the tiny tags finished the card off perfectly ;0)

And one more thing while I am blogging on this fine Thursday morning. This Saturday is the In Love With Stamping Last Chance List blog hop. So please pop by at 10am (*fingers crossed* the technology doesnt fail me as I will be at the wedding on the mainland!) and see all the lovely projects created by Stampin' Up! Demonstrators with stamp sets and products that are about to retire from the catalogue.

Happy Crafting ;0)

And then there were two.....

Again, please accept my apologies for my long blogging  absence.

It has been a fortnight of new beginnings, big changes, old friends, new friends. I don't even know where to begin.

So those that read my blog regularly might have picked up the vibes that changes were afoot recently. I made the decision a couple of months ago that I needed a big career change as i'd faltered a bit on the career path I was on. That decision to take a leap into the unknown led me to a brand new job working for a well known animal charity on the island. I have been in my new role for just over a week now and so far it has been brilliant. A fresh new start with lovely new people. And an office where I get puppies, dogs and the odd aged cat sticking their head through the door looking for a biscuit or two. It is a real challenge and a step up the ladder career wise.

Unfortunately with the new working routine not quite established yet I have been left with little time or energy for crafting of an evening. Plus with my Christmas Craft Event yesterday any spare time i did have was spent prepping for that.

So anyways, onwards to what has been keeping my busy this past couple of weeks (when not finding my feet in the new job). Last weekend saw the first of my three summer weddings this year. My old school  friend Sarah married Ben in a lovely Ventnor wedding on the IOW. It was a lovely day spent catching up with old school friends (some of whom I have not actually seen since my A-Levels many moons ago).

Here are a couple of pics from the day:

This shows the basket of Pimms fruit (GREAT idea! Help yourself to as much fruit in your Pimms as you like) with the bride's bouquet -

The Bride and Groom:

And the second big thing that has happened this last week is that the Poulton family has a new member. This gorgeous little bundle of energy, Sasha, the 20 month old boxer dog. Now prior to starting my new job I had made several jokes about smuggling animals home with me from the Animal Centre. And I'd even made reference to wanting to keep all the boxers that might come through the doors. But never did I imagine that on Day 6 of my new job I would be presented with a boxer puppy  like Sasha. As soon as  I saw her I called up my Mum to come and meet her. And here we are, a week later, with a new boxer joining the family. She lives with Mum, Dad, my two sisters and Kala the Boxer (Kala is a little put out at this puppy interloper upsetting the doggy balance in the house!!)
Here they are together. Kala is flaked out after one too many runs round the garden with the puppy.  It is far too hot for all this energetic malarky she is thinking......
So I think thats all my news for the time being. Fingers crossed (and all being well with my slightly decrepid  old laptop) that I'll be able to get some photos here tomorrow for you of all the lovely projects we made yesterday.

In the mean time, Happy Crafting all. And I hope to get round to your blogs and comment asap!!!
