An Awesomely Artistic Sneak Peek from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters.

Yes, its that time again. Weekly Deals are here. Pop over to my online store by clicking here to check out this weeks fab deals. I love this time of the week as there are always interesting combos to be had.

I have a few sneak peeks to share with you today from Saturday's Telford Regional.

This first card project is our Make and Take project. At every Stampin' Up! event there are always crafty projects to complete. We are given a pack with all the components and then a big box of all the stamps, inks and glues to make our kits in to cards, bags or boxes. Stampin' Up! really do think of everything and I'd love to welcome you to join my team and come along to see for yourself. Convention is our next big event in November. Drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249 to find out more about joining the Stampin' Up! family. Not only a great deal on the Starter Kit but fun with new friends as well.

The card above uses a brand new set called Awesomely Artistic which is perfect for inking and layering. The colours are three of the fantastic new In Colors- Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macaron & Delightful Dijon.

I just love this set, especially that gorgeous dragonfly. For this card we inked and then water spritzed the stamp to get a watercolour effect. The actual dragonfly stamp is beautiful and detailed.

I thought I would show you a couple of the gorgeous display samples too. The new catalogue features a fantastic new Thinlit called Cutie Pie for creating cake boxes like the sample on the left. There is also is amazing new kit called the Sweet Stack Project Kit which makes the complete project on the right below. They really are incredible in real life.

And one last Telford picture to share. Me in the back with some great Pinkies Leadership teamies. We had a fun afternoon tea get together on Friday where we talked business and planning for the months ahead.

Thank you for popping by today. Don't forget to check out this week's Weekly DealsPlease let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop or get in touch directly and I can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door. I'd also love to Demo for you and your friends at a crafty party. As the hostess you earn lots of lovely freebies and you all get to make a fun crafty project too (no crafting experience necessary!)

Telford Swap using Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio

Good morning and a very happy Saturday to you.

Now I don't normally post on a Saturday but I wanted to share a special project with you today. As you read this I will be swapping and sharing with fellow Demonstrators at our Regional Training Event in Telford.

I wanted to be able to participate in the swaps but have had very limited time recently with Sylvie arriving and Summer's birthday. So I decided to use My Digital Studio to design my 'Create' swap which I thought was perfect for a large group of creative Demonstrators.

For this swap I used two downloads:

I then used the core kit elements:
  • Top Note Die
  • Creative Elements Stamp Brush Set
I specifically searched my online stores for downloads with the word 'Create'. I wanted to combine the fancy handwriting style Create from the Walk in the Park II kit with the definition from Define Your Life. I love how the elements combined with birds, hearts and butterflies to create this lovely little 4" x 6" postcard for fellow creators to frame or put on their craft space walls.

Once I had completed my design I exported my finished image and uploaded to a printing website (I used Snapfish for this) where I had my image professionally printed on to matte cardstock. If you look around at various printing service websites you can complete trials where they will offer free prints. I signed up and received 50 free prints with Snapfish.

If you pop over to Martin Lewis's website there is a tool there for seeing which sites are offering the best deals:

Thank you for stopping by today. Please leave a comment to let me know if you swapped with me. I would love to hear from you.

You can order all Stampin' Up! products through my online store by click here or by clicking on any of the product links above. I will also happily order any products for you. Just drop me a line on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249 and I'll happily assist.

And don't forget to check out this weeks Weekly Deals to see what fab items are discounted for a limited time only (until Tuesday).

Happy Crafting

Home from Regional Training

Well what a weekend we had! Sam and I took Summer away for the weekend to celebrate her first birthday and this coincided with the Stampin' Up! Regional Training event in Telford.  I was so excited to be asked to present at the event (well, excited and terrified in equal measure!) on the subject of Marketing Your Business.

It was such an exciting opportunity to stand up on stage and present my take on the topic in front of 300+ Demonstrators from around the country and I received such lovely feedback from all the ladies I met on the day. I'm hoping my ideas inspired a few people and helped a few Demos have the confidence to give Facebook or blogging a go. A few years ago I decided that should opportunities arise to challenge myself and take me out of my comfort zone, then I should take them. This was by far the biggest challenge of recent years and I am so pleased that I said yes and did this presentation.

And to everyone who has been in touch I thank you wholeheartedly. Has really given me a boost to hear from so many Demonstrators both new and established *Stampin' Up! hugs*

And now for a bit of craftiness. Here are some of the lovely things I have to share with you from Saturday. The crafty tote was made for me by a super crafty Demo friend Lynne (who also did a fab on stage presentation!). The wrapped bundle is my Prize Patrol prize (one of the many benefits of being a Demo and attending Stampin' Up! events is the chance to win fab product prizes- mine is a bundle of silver in celebration of Stampin' Up!'s 25 year anniversary!). The notebook is one of our Make and Take projects and the floral tub was a gift from my Upline Michelle as a celebration of my presentation (and it was full of lovely Mint Aero Bubbles!)

Here is a close up of the notebook Make and Take project that was part of the days craftiness. I love this artsy layered look which is created using the Clockworks stamp set.
My silver prize:
My handmade nametag using the Notable Alphabet stamps, lots of rhinestones and the butterfly punch.
And lastly, here is a beautiful swap I received from Rose, a Demonstrator friend. This is a shrinky plastic keyring made using the Swallowtail stamp (who knew it would shrinky dink down so small!?). Rose and I had a good catch up over breakfast in the hotel. Its one of my favourite things about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, meeting up with team mates and friends at events.

If you think you would like to join Stampin' Up! as part of my team and come along to future events with Stampin' Up! you can sign up to my team directly by clicking here and if you sign up before May 30th you will receive an extra £25 in your Starter Kit order (so for the bargain price of £99 you can choose £155 worth of product in your kit- more info here). With the new catalogue around the corner and Convention announced as being hosted in Manchester this year, there is no better time to join Stampin' Up! and become a Wight Stamper.

If you would like to stay more connected with Stampin' Sarah and keep up to date with Stampin' Up! please like my Facebook page.

Thanks for popping by today and stop by tomorrow again for more creative inspiration.
