First Open House Workshop Saturday 27th February ;0)

In celebration of booking my first workshop (Saturday February 27th- just in time to make the most of Sale-A-Bration ordering) and in helping me to promote it i have been trying out various templates and 'Make and Take' ideas.

Last night I was experimenting with my Bold Colours cardstock and Fast and Fun Notes Stamps (P.34) to make a thank you and a birthday card.
Pink Passion card, Fast & Fun Notes Stamp, Silver Calligraphy Pen & accessorised with Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon.
Pink Passion card, Whisper White Grosgrain ribbon coloured with Orchid Opulence and Lovely Lilac, Fast & Fun Notes Stamp. Background- Pink Passion ink used with the Whimsy Stampin Wheel.

A card I made a few nights ago once I had received my Loads of Love Accessories (P. 31) stamp set. I accessorised this with 3.2cm Old Olive Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and 1.6cm Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon.

Starter Kit Has Arrived ;0)

To create this card I used Fun & Fast Notes (Page 34 in the catalogue) plus the 'Merry Christmas' greeting from the Loads of Love stamp set (Page 31). I stamped using markers from the Bold Colour Family Stampin Writes. Again, this was a card created using up old bits of generic card stock. I am really just using up old card to try out new techniques with all my lovely new stamps and inks.
This card was created using my Jumbo Stampin 'Whimsy' Wheel (P. 42) for the background with my Sale-A-Bration Happy Moments gift stamp set. I also used 6.4mm Grosgrain Ribbon (P.87) coloured with Lovely Lilac Stampin Write. The flowers and background use: Pink Passion and Pixie Pink.

Quite a strikingly simple Congratulations card made using old cardstock and the Fast & Fun Notes Stamps (P. 34). I coloured it using Yoyo Yellow and Only Orange Stampin Writes.

I deliberately left open white space on this card so that a name/birth date can be added before sending. This was created again using my Fast & Fun Notes stamps, a silver calligraphy pen and old cardstock.

Fast & Fun Notes accessorised with Versamark watermark in the background and Bashful Blue Taffeta ribbon (P. 87).

First attempts

Here are my first attempts at cardmaking over the weekend. I was using the Loads of Love, Window Dressing (Hostess Set) and A Tree For All Seasons stamp sets. I used these as practice to get me back in the swing. And once I got going I just didnt want to stop.

While I am awaiting my Starter Kit I have just been using up odds and ends of generic card stock and accessories. But I was jolly pleased with the result. And I didnt feel at all premature making a Christmas card in February. You can never start too early with these things..... ;0)

Roll on my Starter Kit.......

I had so much fun colouring and accessorising this card. The pictures doesnt quite show up the subtle pink shade of glitter I used to highlight the hearts piled in the back of the truck.

An alternative style Valentines card using up old cardstock. Finished with multicoloured glitter to highlight the flowers.

This is my favourite card that I made over the weekend using the Loads of Love Stampin Up stamps. I used up odds and ends of old cardstock that I have in my craft cupboard while i am awaiting the arrival of my Starter Kit ;0)

I used a foam pad to stick the bird onto the card. It sticks out to look as though it is perched on the outside window ledge.

I've had these stamps for a while. I am looking for new ideas and inspiration for the 'Tree For All Seasons' stamps. Thanks to Michelle (http://michellelast.typepad.co.uk/) I now know about various crafting websites (for example, http://www.inlovewithstamping.com/forum/welcome.php) that I can visit to see other peoples ideas and projects. So I am excited about chatting online to crafters and making new contacts and gaining inspiration.

Hi all,

I'm new to the world of blogging and relatively new to crafting (well I've previously been a big cross stitcher but have recently branched out to more adventurous card making and I'm starting to get into scrapbooking too).

I've signed myself up to be a Stampin Up demonstrator on the Isle of Wight. I love these products and am inspired with each browse of the website or look through of the catalogue. I've primarily signed up with Stampin Up just to share my love of card making and stamping and I'm hoping to be able to share these products with like minded people both locally and nationally.

Please bare with me, I am a bit rusty on the crafting front. My pieces will get better with time.
