A Work of Art Hostess Thank You Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters. What a wet and grey start to Good Friday. I'm hoping the weather improves a bit here on the Isle of Wight as we have an Easter Egg Activity Hunt to get to at 11am at the RSPCA. The girls have their Easter Bonnets all ready and everything ;0)

I have a thank you card creation to share today. I made this for a lovely friend who recently hosted a Stampin' Up! party at her home. This is inspired by a card I saw over at Pootles blog. I love the ombre effect of inking the stamp once and then stamping three times so you get the gradually lightening tones.

The colour I picked for this card is one of my favourites, Coastal Cabana. I stamped the swish from Work of Art three times and then added the fancy 'Thank You' from Another Thank You.

I added the little Silver Glimmer Paper shapes punched with the Itty Bitty Accents punches for an extra bit of bling (no card is complete without sparkle).

I'd like to wish you a very Happy Easter weekend. I hope you get lots of crafty time as well as fun doing whatever you have planned.

Thank you for popping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! or our products. I would love to help. All items can be purchased online via my shop (or click on the links below to find out more about specific products) or get in touch directly and I  can order them for you to be delivered direct to your door.

An Autumnal Wondrous Wreath Thank You

Good morning and a very happy Autumnal September morning to you. It looks like it might be a lovely bright and sunny day here on the Isle of Wight. Perfect for our planned trip to Starbucks and then to the park to drink our Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

As you might have guessed, my thoughts have turned to Autumn and breaking out my shades of yellow and orange ink pads. I needed to make a quick set of Thank You notes for a recent party order I am delivering this evening and wanted to have a go at creating a non-Christmas card with the gorgeous Wondrous Wreath stamps. I like to create purely stamped thank you notes to show my lovely party customers all the different ways you can create easy cards just with your stamps.

The Wondrous Wreath stamp set works beautifully on its own simply layering up the image. I started with Hello Honey for the main leaf layer and then stamped over with Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss for the berries and bow.

I stamped the 'Thanks' sentiment from the Another Thank You stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on to Hello Honey cardstock and punched with my Modern Label Punch. I finished with two Regals Candy Dots.

It has been a busy couple of weeks at Stampin' Sarah HQ and I have really missed blogging (all my posts last week were scheduled while I was away on a motorhoming holiday in Lincolnshire). Before we went away we celebrated Sylvie's Christening. It kept Mum and I busy as we had handmade decorations, I decorated the cake, we had handmade jam and scones. But it was all well worth it as it was a lovely day shared with lovely people. It made me so happy that so many friends and family came to share the day. Some travelled from over the water too. I was grateful to each and every person who celebrated with us. And to give a little insight in to the day, here is the happy girl herself.

And here is Summer performing her special Red Arrows show for us in the garden after everyone had gone home.

Thank you for popping by today and for sharing in my Autumn creating excitement. If you have any questions about today's project or the products I have used, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. You can order online direct through my store by clicking the product links above or the pictures below. I also have availability in the next few months for your very own crafty party. Click on the Promotions tab above to see the exclusive hostess promotion running until October 31st.

Watercolor Thank You Notes

Good evening! A bit of a late one from me today. Not sure what happened. I had my project all lined up to blog and then my brain had a 'post baby' moment and I thought I had written and published this post. Imagine my surprise when it didn't publish, only for me to find I didn't write the post to begin with! Just one of those baby brain moments.

So today's share is a quick thank you card inspired by this Pinterest find.  I made this for my recent workshop attendees to go with their orders. I absolutely adore this single sentiment stamp from the new catalogue called Watercolor Thank You. It is another of the textured stamps that gives a beautiful watercoloured effect when you stamp with it.

I used a standard half of A4 cardstock base in Whisper White. I then used my Aqua Painter and Pistachio Pudding ink pad to create the painted wash background. I stamped the Thank You in Island Indigo over the top. The embellishments to finish were created with the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and Basic Rhinestones.

I hope you've all had lovely weekends whereever you are in the world. Ours flew by. I have been on a health kick since having Sylvie and have been gradually introducing more exercise in to my daily life. I went for a lovely 5 mile walk on Saturday. I love being able to pack up the double buggy and venture off with my two girls. I even invested in a little battery radio so we can listen to music while out strolling. So far so good. I am feeling a lot better and the weight is coming off slowly. Although it is weigh in day tomorrow and I did have a sneaky Starbucks this morning. We'll see what happens at Slimming World tomorrow......

Party Door Prizes

We made it to Friday and my crafty weekend creation. Hope you've had a lovely crafty week and I hope you've enjoyed all my crafty shares (and not a bit of Christmas-y crafting which is most unlike me!).

Today's crafty make is a Door Prize gift bag I created for two of my recent Stampin' Up! parties. The door prize is one of my favourite parts of creating for a Stampin' Up! party. I always offer a little crafty prize for all attendees of my parties. Everyone enters their name in to the pot and at the end of the party somebody gets to take away a little crafty kit.

These two gift bags were based on the lovely Afternoon Picnic Designer Series Papers. I contrasted the light pastel colours of the papers with the bright contrast of Strawberry Slush ink and cardstock. I used some ready made mini gift bags I had in my stash to hold the contents of the prize (mini notelets, some small pieces of matching DSP, In Colour Boutique Details, sentiment stamp and a Stampin' Write marker). These were a perfect prize for my lovely party customers.

If you'd like to book your own Stampin' Up! party I have dates available through October and November. I can customise the party to your crafty interests (cardmaking, scrapbooking, gift wrap adn boxes). I am finding my customised Christmas crafty parties are going down really well at the moment. I can demonstrate different cardmaking techniques and all guests get to make and take a Christmas card too. And by booking now you'll have plenty of time to create your own Christmas cards and gift tags before the big day comes around. I'd love to chat to you about a date and talk you through all the lovely freebies you can receive for hosting a party. Please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249 (I will be back from my motorhoming adventure on Sunday so can return on calls first thing Monday! Please leave a message and I'll happily get back in touch).

Online Ordering

Oh and a quick reminder that if there are any crafty essentials or must-haves that you'd like to get your hands on, you can now shop online 24/7. All items ordered will be shipped directly to you and you can even earn hostess freebies if you spend £150+ (who doesn't love freebies?!) And I'll also be posting a little extra something to all people ordering through my Online Shop throughout September.

For an extra chance to win freebies, add the Hostess Code below to your order and at the end of the month I will be totaling the month's freebies and offering them to one lucky winner.

A Bloomin' Marvellous Monday

Welcome to a Bloomin' Marvellous Monday post. I've had a lovely crafty day today with some crafty friends of mine. We celebrated half term with a crafty Stampin' Up! party.

To highlight the fantastic freebie benefits of Sale-A-Bration I decided to use the freebie Bloomin' Marvellous stamp set as the focus for our cardmaking project. We made the card above which is inspired by
this beautiful card made by Vicky. I love this technique of using a square punch to create a window behind which to stamp the images. We used a 4inch by 1.5inch strip of paper from the Birds of a Feather DSP to stamp the flower and leaf image on to. This was then set behind the Whisper White layer with the window. We then punched two butterflies (using both beautiful butterfly punches) to layer and finish the card.

And while we are talking about Bloomin' Marvellous. Here is another card I taught during our January card class which uses this stamp set as its focus. I love this colour combo of Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive and Perfect Plum.

Just a reminder that I am teaching a new class this week in Ryde at the Sew N So Craft Centre (first class Thursday February 21st 1-3pm, £8.50). Spaces are limited so get in touch with the shop to book your space. I am so excited about beginning technique classes in a new venue and hope to see you there very soon.
Here is a little sneak peak of what we will be making:

Happy Crafting & please get in touch to find out more about any of the products I have used or place your Sale-A-Bration order.

Tea Shoppe Thank You

Woohoo!! I finally have lots of lovely things to share with you. I have been busy beavering away for classes and workshops which hasnt left too much time for blogging. So I am attempting to catch up with all the photos I have been taking by scheduling some posts for the upcoming week.

Here is the hostess gift and card from Wednesday's party with Charlotte. I made another of the fab teabag holders I found on Pinterest using the exclusive Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (only available for another 4 days so get your order in asap!). I've shared that project before though so I thought I would highlight the card I made instead.

I love this stamp set from the Summer Mini, Tea Shoppe and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it carries over into the new main catalogue. The colour scheme is Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, Soft Suede, Poppy Parade & Peach Parfait. And do you notice the ingenious placement of the sentiment to cover up the fact that the teacups were stamped super wonky? ;0)

I'll be sad to see this designer series paper retire (again) but I'm definitely stocking up before the end of this month.

And in other news, I got my new Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue in the post this morning. It is FANTASTIC!!! I cannot wait to share all the new items with you on September 1st ;0)

Happy Crafting ;0)
