A very Happy Wonderful Christmas Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning crafters!

Hope you are having a lovely crafty week. I had a rare day of craftiness yesterday as my Mum and Dad took Summer to visit my grandparents on the mainland. I managed to make 40 swaps for a Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration event next week and a retirement card for my lovely chiropractor (both projects I will share next week). So all in all a very productive day.

Today's card share is the project we made at my November craft parties. I combined the Festival of Trees stamp set with a strip of Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper. The sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and is taken from the Wondrous Wreath stamp set.

I love the two step stamping effect (made so much easier with the new photopolymer stamps) of the tree with baubles. I added an extra dimension by first stamping the baubles in Gold Encore then stamping over the top in Cherry Cobbler ink (slightly off setting the baubles).

To finish I punched a star using my Itty Bitty Accents star punch from Champagne Glimmer Paper.

This is a great card to reproduce quickly and easily. Perfect for all those cards for family, friends and colleagues.

Stars, Sleighs and Christmas Cheer Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

I was hopping around Pinterest last week (as you do) and came across this amazing card by the very talented Teneale Williams (her blog is a must for some very inspiring ideas and techniques for using SU products). I had to give a Stampin' Sarah spin (I didn't have all the products required for a direct CASE).

I just loved the simplicity and the tone on tone Cherry Cobbler. When it comes to Christmas crafting, you can never have too much Cherry Cobbler I say. It is my number 1 must have for cards and festive creations. So matching my Cherry Cobbler cardstock base with the gorgeous Under the Tree Speciality Paper was a prefect combination (Under the Tree is actually a very thick and sturdy card perfect for Christmas box making!).

I daubered the edges of the Cherry Cobbler layer and then layered my Under the Tree piece with Brushed Gold cardstock. I created the edging with my Scallop Edge Punch from Champagne Glimmer Paper.

For the main image I cut a star using my Stars Framelits Dies from Crumb Cake cardstock. I stamped the sleigh image from the Holiday Home stamp set in Basic Black and doodled the stitching around the star using my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write marker. The sentiment and frame is from the Project Life December Wonder stamp set (a perfect addition to any Christmas scrapbookers stamp collection),

The final touch was a little Cherry Cobbler star (punched using the Itty Bitty Accents punch) and some swirly Linen Thread.

I just absolutely love the original and I love my Stampin' Sarah'd version too. I have to say a big thank you to Teneale for the inspiration.

And just before I go, don't forget to check out this weeks fab Weekly Deals by clicking the image below.

Fun Sweety Elf Leg Hanger Decoration from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

I love this quick and easy little Christmas make. The picture above makes me think of two cheeky elves leaning against a wall getting in to mischief.

I designed this project for our monthly card class this past Saturday and the ladies all enjoyed making these cheeky little chaps (or their legs at least).

This all came about when I was shopping in my local 99p shop and came across these sherbet and jelly sticks. I knew they would work perfectly as Elf Legs. I've placed the sweeties in to the Stampin' Up! 1"x8" Cello Bags (although these ready packaged sweets don't necessarily need them). So instead of these sticks you could use multicoloured choccies or jelly sweets.

To create the shorts I cut a Top Note from Old Olive and folded in half. I used my Chalk Marker to add the stitched detail. The shoes were cut from a Real Red Top Note shape. And to finish I added Gold Foil button details to the shorts and to the boots and Gold Ribbon around the ankles.

Today sees the launch of a fantastic recruiting promotion from Stampin' Up! You can join my team and get started with your Stampin' Up! business with a fantastic 25% off the £99 Starter Kit (for one week only!). What a great deal! I'd love to welcome you to my team of Inkin' Owls. You can find out more by clicking the 'Join my Team' tab above or get in touch with me directly for more information.

Pop Up Angels Box Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and a very Happy Monday to you.

I hope you have had a very crafty and productive weekend. I have been very busy with my monthly card class as well as making some lovely notes and pressies for my customers and virtual club members. I am particularly proud of my virtual club gifts this month. I will be sharing those little lovelies with you later in the  week.

To celebrate the upcoming festive season I have a whole week of lovely craftiness to share with you every morning this week. My first crafty share is this pop up Angel box card.

I am very partial to punch art and creating little characters using my punches. I had seen a few festive box cards across the blogosphere and I'd also seen a few variations of punch art Angels. I decided to have a go at combining the two.

I just love the festiveness of this little card (which folds down flat for easy posting- although with the pearl embellishments I think it'd be a large letter rate).

I started with a standard A4 base of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I scored along the long side at 7cm, 14cm, 21cm and 28cm. I then turned and scored at 7cm (and then cut at 15cm). This gives you your basic box shape. You use the scrap piece of card to create the little Z shape tabs that stick inside your box for your pop ups to stick to. For more explanation I used this video by the lovely Monica to help put my base together.

For the decorative layers I used Brushed Gold cardstock and the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack.

My Angels were created using my 1 3/4" and 1 1/4" Circle Punches for the Champagne Glimmer halo (and for the face punched from Very Vanilla). I used the Decorative Label Punch for the body and a retired butterfly die for the Angel wings.

The one bit of stamping on this card was the sentiment taken from The Newborn King stamp set. I used this as the card looked overall like a choir of Angels singing. So I wanted the sentiment to reflect a Christmas carol.

Thank you for popping by today. I hope you enjoyed today's crafty festive project. I'll have projects to share every day this week so please come back to see what else I've been creating.

A very Cheerful Christmas card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Good morning and welcome to a new crafty week here at Stampin' Sarah! HQ. It has been a very wet and grey weekend here on the Isle of Wight but that didn't stop all the lovely early Christmas shoppers from turning out at another fabulous Christmas Fair in Cowes on Saturday. I love this annual event at the Yacht Haven. So many lovely stalls and customers. My felt and ribbon wreaths proved super popular and I'm glad I decided to have a go at making them. I'll share a few pics of my favourites later in the week (also show you some new ways to use Stampin' Up! dies).

Today's crafty project was designed by my downline Lorraine for our team get together last week. I had forgotten how much I love the Cheerful Christmas stamp set. It works so beautifully with the Filigree Frame Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Such a classic and simple card to recreate.

We used a Very Vanilla cardbase embossed with the Filgree Frame. We then stamped the 'Christmas Cheer' sentiment in Always Artichoke. Then to finish we coloured Basic Rhinestones with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities pens and embellished the swirly stamped image. Et voila! A perfectly festive (and easy to mass produce) Christmas card.

Thanks for stopping by today. If you have any questions about today's project or the products I have used, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. You can order online direct through my store by clicking the product links above or the pictures below. Wonderful Wreath Joy Shaker Card from Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Sarah Poulton

Hello lovely crafty friends! It is the weekend. Time to celebrate and get festive. The ads on TV are well and truly Christmasy now so I don't feel bad for spending my weekends making little festive fun things for my girls. I might even have to break open Elf over the weekend and partake of some festive film frolics with a bowl of maple syrup covered spaghetti.

Today's crafty share is a project I CASED from the lovely Kimberly Van Diepen over in the States. I just adored this simple Whisper White layered shaker card the moment I came across it on Pinterest. So I used it as the basis for my creation for my lovely team ladies get together this week.

I cut the 'Joy' using the fab Wonderful Wreath Framelits and then glued a small piece of Window Sheet over the back (a step I initially forgot and then wondered why all my shaker bits fell out the front of the card!! Doh!) to cover the cut out word.

For the shaker elements I used my Star Confetti Punch to cut lots of little Champagne and Silver Glimmer Paper stars which I then mixed with sequins from the In Color Sequin Assortment.

I surrounded the Joy with Dimensionals to create a seal around the area I wanted to shake. This prevents all the little stars from flying everywhere. It also gives this lovely shadowed raised effect too.

To finish the card I used some of the punched stars, sequins and basic rhinestones to create a little bit of bling and colour on the front of my card.

Thanks for stopping by today. If you have any questions about today's project or the products I have used, please get in touch on poulton_sarah@yahoo.co.uk or 01983 609249. You can order online direct through my store by clicking the product links above or the pictures below.
