Bee Happy In Color Card with Stampin' Up!'s Sweet Stuff stamp set

Happy Friday crafty friends. And to celebrate my week of Stampin' Up! stamp set Sweet Stuff, here is my final 'Bee Happy' project using the lovely little bumblebee paired with the honeycomb patterned papers from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack.

I used the lovely Naturals White Cardstock as my card base as I love the textured homemade paper feel of the cardstock. I then cut strips of the Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss Honeycomb patterned papers to create my layers. I also used a length of Blackberry Bliss Satin Stitched Ribbon as an extra embellishment. The pennant was cut using the Banners Framelits Dies.

I layered punched circles (1-3/8" Circle with a 1-1/4" Circle on top) with the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch. I coloured the bee image with my Daffodil Delight Marker.

This card is a testament to the fact that there is always a way to change your original card idea when something goes wrong. I am pretty sure we have all had those moments where you create an entire card and the final step is to stamp your sentiment and it all goes wrong. Well this was one of those cards! Not only did I stamp the sentiment wonky but I then tried to embellish it to make it seem like I intended to do it and it all just looked like a great big mess. So the strip of Hello Honey DSP came to my rescue. I was much happier with the positioning of the sentiment and all in all I think I rescued the card pretty well.

I wish you all a lovely lovely weekend whatever your plans. I am hoping for great weather as I have the second of my Christmas Craft Days tomorrow and I'd like my ladies to be able to enjoy their lunch in the garden again. I will be back next week to share all the festive projects my ladies have been making on the Craft Days. Look forward to sharing with you then.

Happy Crafting
